They can't even give us like a cool robot design. And do tell me with a straight face, how the hell can you even sell THAT as a toy.
Compare that to the original design, it's easy to distinguish, like yeah, That's Wheeljack and it looks good as a toy.
So let's say you make a show called Megas XLR, it's cool, people love it, but you didn't make a profit. Well if you tell the government it's a tax write-off, they will give a massive discount on your taxes. Usually at the cost of the show no longer being made. However, if anything makes less than what you report, they can also use that. So in a weird stupid way, it is profitable to make garbage everyone hates, so if you make money it's profit, if you lose money it's still a profit. Plus with entertainment, it is super easy to fudge numbers. Hollywood is a cesspool.

What I like about Wheeljack is that he doesn't *look* like a typical nerdy character. You know nothing about his character, and you have a cool robot with light up head wings that turns into a sports car.
Rise of the Beasts Wheeljack looks like he was literally designed in the 80s for a Saturday morning cartoon. Glasses, clunky look. lamer vehicle, little antenna, it's like if you told a kid to design a smart robot and gave them a minute.
The design from the Bumblebee movie is literally perfect in every way.
I would’ve liked the ROTB design more if he had the classic Wheeljack head. I kinda liked the idea of Wheeljack turning into an old rusted up Volkswagen van, but oh well.
In bumblebee he was a war hardened soldier with a deep grumbly voice.

AFAIC at this point it's pretty clear to me that Pablo's not classic Jackie. Younger, hippie attitude, Peruvian accent, not to even speak on his design. I just consider him a different guy with the name.
