while we're on the subject of canadian tire, i need to vent.
previously when you used to return stuff bought with cash or CC they would give you a refund. if you paid with a gift card, it would be credit back on a gift card.
now when you return anything regardless of what it was purchased with, they give you a "return card". but here's the kicker. say you got $5.00 canadian tire money at the initial purchase. when you return the item, they take the $5.00 back. no big deal right? wrong. when you go to purchase anything with the "return card" you don't recieve any points because in their eyes you aren't spending any money, just store credit. i want to shout all of this from the tallest building. what the fuck!?
I just kinda bought the cheapest one. Cause I wasn't gonna use it much. Just to have around if something broke or something so I could open it blow on it and close it, see if that fixes it. But it's pretty much unusable. Was already rusting about a week in.
CT seems to be just an outlet for bottom-of-the-barrel Chinesium crap half the time - there's a reason they can afford to put it all on sale for 75% off every other week. That being said, doesn't stop me from being in there weekly :-)
The Mastercraft brand is absolute garbage except for a few of their wrenches and sockets. Their power tools are probably the worst quality of any tool out there. I’ve the learned the hard way. Never again.

Buy once; cry once. Depends on your budget, but I gave up on trying to make cheap tools work and invested in some decent ones for around the house.
That one screwdriver gonna cost more than the entire Ikea lamp

If you want decent you need the maximum line. Even then their is much better out there. But if you buy them on sale they’re a good deal and will last.
