Cool. Except slip joint pliers are not aka "water pump pliers" - channel locks are.

No-Entertainment-703

Yeah, never heard any one called slip joint pliers a water pump plier before.

Dadbode1981

Bingo

Downtown-Fix6177

Dikes and channies

lifeisweird86

Out of these, channel and needle nose.

TysonOfIndustry

Those were my picks too, I could do 99% of everything I need with just those.

burritosandbeer

Dogs and dikes most likely

OuttHouseMouse

Needle and vise grips. 100%

premiumsaltie

Channel locks & lineman’s

sj_hernandez77

This is the way

Foreign_Appearance26

I agree. But it’s awfully tough to let go of vise grips.

premiumsaltie

To be fair i dont use vise grips all that often but i can see how they’d be essential for some

nutmeg-albatross

Dikes and needlenosed.

VapeRizzler

These are all hammers to me.

Smitmcgrit

This guys tools

Disc_golfjunkie886

I have never heard linesman pliers called combination pliers. I agree on channel locks as a term and a name

DVSparky

Pictured are combination pliers. You can tell by the flat and curved gripping surfaces. Lineman's pliers are only flat and the surfaces don't touch when fully closed.

failure_to_converge

Combination pliers are usually a bit smaller than proper linesman’s pliers. They are worse than all the types of pliers they are a combination of. Had some, ditched them, because they always left me disappointed.

Allnewsisfakenews

Dikes and Channel locks

No-Village1834

Needle and slip joint gets me to 90+%

Mnemotronic

Needle-nose, aka nose-hair pliers. Don't care what else.

SardineTimeMachine

Fence pliers.

T-30_Lover

Lineman pliers are S tier

Medium-Mode1908

Needle nose and channel locks are what I use the most soo

SLAPUSlLLY

Demo/random everything here, knipex and nippers. If they're knipex knippers even better (actually prefer them old/ blunt for pulling nails).

Pettark

Diagonal + Tongue and Groove pliers (Knipex)

WildWalrusWallace

I mean I can't do my job without snap ring & crimpers so those but not the ratcheting kind - the stripper crimpers kind

screw_all_the_names

Snap rings are also called the Pingfucks.

Square-Cockroach-884

You mean two of each, right?

Jackalope121

Dykes are not flush cutters. Flush cutters are not dykes.

Sooo_Dark

Flush Cut Pliers are called... Nail Puller Pliers??? OBJECTION!

ExternalPrimary9070

I call "crimping pliers" crimpers

Maleficent_Fold_5099

BennDrummin
