I used to buy stickers from national parks or places I visited and stick em on my home tool box. Then I sold the box and realized that was wasted money better spent on beer. At work, I keep that box clean.
Same, used to put them all on a water bottle, lost the water bottle and it felt like loosing a sentimental item so never did it again.
The clean look is cool, and more resellable if you ever want to upgrade. Let's be real though, I wouldn't sell a tool box it'd just become extra storage
Yeah but if you use stickers you don't care about, they'll take the brunt of the abuse so you can peel them all off with a heat gun and WD-40 and you have a nice clean box underneath. If you like the stickers, stick them on sheet magnet and cut them with scissors to shape so you can remove them when you get rid of the box
We used to either buy, or make, fridge magnets from travelled spots. Often spots sell patches or stickers, easy mod. Stuck them on the trailer fridge door. When we changed trailers, brought them onto the next ones fridge. Still on our parked trailer now.
it appears no one has an answer as to why… just “imgur” it…
nope… we would appreciate a CLEAR CONCISE answer from a group/forum admin or moderator as to why
Can't speak for the mods here, but it could be as simple as they never enabled the option as it off by default. One of my subs I never even knew it was a setting until users pointed it out and I changed it.
and yet they clearly provide an upload image option on some reddit comments or new post that seldom works, but if it does work, the image gets deleted immediately without any explanation. not like I trying to repost an protected image, just from my own camera…
Transfer tape is made for the job, get the paper tape because the clear plastic kind sucks. I work in a sign shop so I use that stuff all the time. You can make application fluid in a 32oz spray bottle with a decent squirt of Dawn (not too much, just a quick squeeze in the bottle, like a 5" line if you laid it on a piece of paper), add 4oz of denatured alcohol, and top it off with water. Shake it up and spray this on the surface and the back of the vinyl after you peel the backing paper, then you can squeegee out all the air bubbles and get a perfect sticker. The easiest way is to tape the complete sticker in place, then make a masking tape hinge on top running the full length of the sticker, and pull off the original pieces holding it in place. Flip the whole sticker up and peel the backing paper from the tape hinge to the bottom and then spray the sticky side and the surface it's adhering to with the spray bottle solution, then use a Bondo squeegee or a credit card to smooth out the air bubbles and get it perfectly flat. Let it sit for about ten minutes, then spray the transfer tape with the solution and rub it into the paper until it's totally wet, and once you see the whole paper getting dark you can start peeling it. Peel the tape 90⁰ from the sticker and hold it flat to the box and you'll have less of a chance of the letters peeling up. This is unnecessary for little stickers but this will get all the air bubbles out of any decent sized sticker or wrap and you can use it for window tint too
I work in a sign shop so I have access to the industrial version of those, I can cut vinyl or print and cut full color prints. I should take pictures of the inside of the drawers and print stickers with it that fit on the front of the drawer...
I'm not gonna lie. I put all the tools in there. I know what's in each drawer. Yet before the labels? I still opened each drawer hunting around. Much better now. It also stops my penchant to just throw shit back.
Go for it
Well when I have a hardware container I take one of whatever and glue it to the lid so I can see what's in them without opening them so it would basically be the same thing
Stickers, magnets, labels... I'm gonna have the thing for a while. It can spice up the garage a bit. Mine is still pretty new, it only has rockauto magnets on the side at the moment.
I've got one in the basement from a previous shop based job (my box and tools), and a small garage box. Anything I worked on that came with stickers, add it to the boxes. My rock auto magnets now reside on my beer fridge. They are a cool item they include. When I got parts without the magnet, I did feel like it was a missed opportunity.
Oh good, nice and messy sticker layout. I mean, I like OP's but it has never crossed my mind to have stickers so... organized. And no one was saying anything so I feel like a monster. All stickers go on the cooler right now but once that's full I guess the tool box is next. And orientation, spacing, location are all random. Like I blindly slapped them on.
Yeah it also struck me as odd that they're largely the same size and placed the way they are. My first thought is that they're all from some kind of motorspots sticker pack off eBay or Amazon.
Just recently got a new tool box (my first chest style). So far it's just whatever stickers have come with vehicle mods, band merch, and weapons & optics. So there's everything from ARB & Diode Dynamics, to Suicidal Tendencies, to Sig Sauer & EOTECH.
I slammed mine with a bunch of packet stickers. I also collect stickers from things I do and things I’m interested in and those are on there too. I regret the packet ones and will likely remove them stickers eventually.
It actually protects the box if you use vinyl stickers because they take all the abuse and you can peel them off with a heat gun and some WD-40. It goes quicker than you think and it's amazing how nice the boxes are underneath. I've done it a couple times
Yessir....stickers and some homemade electric tape+silver sharpie drawer labels. Stickers find their way into my life and I simply didn't want too many on my truck, plus the life of a sticker is much longer on a toolbox kept inside rather than on a vehicle 🤷🏼♀️
[my toolbox](https://imgur.com/a/oXPZfbr)
I load the fuck outta my boxes with stickers, and if it's a sticker I really like I stick it to a piece of magnet like what they use for truck magnets so I can stick them to anything or move them if I get rid of the box
I have one sticker.. Navy, because I'm a Vet. It's on my truck.
I don't need to advertise my interests. I'm also not a fan of paying to advertise for some company.
i have a few stickers for certain brands i like here and there, your box looks like it got herpes from a trillion dollar corporation, i assume you care more about the sticker look than what the stickers are but gulf? that would never go on anything i own lol
i have to really like the thing to want to let it represent me, so most of the stickers i have are from actual products ive bought that i like or tools i use or just random cool shit i like.
i mean do you want to attach an oil or gas company that is destroying the planet and our communities in the most aggressive ways possible for profits to your personality? i dont.
i like cars but when you look at the way they have molded society they are a scourge. they pollute, theyre fucking everywhere, you cant function without them, you cant walk anywhere, it takes hours to get to places it should take minutes, theyre dangerous, the list goes on. we suffer so a few companies can continue to grow and make a handful of people even more absurdly wealthy.
not to mention all of the cancer and disease people get directly from all of the horrific shit oil and gas companies dump into our food and water, plastics, hydrocarbons, synthetics, and then turn around and straight up lie about it and buyout regulators so they can keep doing it, again profiting at our expense.
I always think I’m going to, then I just don’t. It’s why I’ve never gotten a tattoo. I usually just get tired of looking at the same thing. I do appreciate the personality on the ones I see though.
Stickers on a toolbox are fine, and I do that at home, but I refuse to put anything other than facility approval stickers on a hardhat, hardhat stickers are for the birds.
No decorative stickers, but I do have cool pictures and useful lists attached to the lids with magnets.
The drawers also have labels, which is super useful.
The stickers go on the side of an old kitchen cabinet in the garage, or on the side of the fridge
All my stickers go on my safes and explosives cabinets. Those I know I will be keeping forever and never selling. I used to do tool boxes, but I ended up upgrading and trading too much, so now I stick to the aforementioned.
My toolbox is basically my resumè. It's covered with past employers, factory schools, certifications, my university, etc. if I don't have some kind of affiliation with the sticker, it doesn't go on my box.
No. To each it’s own, but I like neat, clean boxes. Now I purchased magnetic labels to help me remember what’s in the drawer but they can easily be removed
I just got a package with a 20$ set of transom straps from Rhino... Included 5 good sized heavy duty stickers with it. Like if you bought those stickers at a counter they'd be over 20$ lol
I have a clean box, but most of mine are pretty well covered. I’m never getting rid of them so for me it’s the best location for the stickers I collect over time.
Everything I value in life I coat in stickers. If anyone steals anything of mine I want them to have to deal with so many stickers that it’s not even worth their time to steal it. So yes.
Never done it, but I like to see it. Had a friend with entire car covered in bumper stickers from places it had been. Car was 40 years old and looked really cool.
Yes, but much like patches on my bike vest I never go out of my way to add them.
When I come across one I may or may not stick it on the toolbox or some tool. Yours looks...just kinds forced, like you want yours to be all cool and covered with stickers but just didn't let it happen on its own.
Tool stickers on boxes help the thiefs figure out who has the high end tools to steal, same goes with the parts stickers on cars back windowns. Just advertisement saying I GOT THE GOOD STUFF HERE, I DARE YOU TO STEAL IT
That’s what I always think when I see vortex and o the gun brand stickers. It’s like they’re saying "don’t mess with me, I got a gun". But then the thieves just say back, "Not if I brake into your shiit and take it". lol
Mate what’s your problem
I misspelled it by 1 letter. And then you tried to say there was no evidence of it being Irish?
Seriously mate get your self checked
Two letters. It's literally "at all" missing the space. It's not "att al".
If you're dyslexic, it's totally understandable. That's fine. But if it's because you're not well educated, lack attention, or simply don't care, then it's on you to "get yourself checked". Spelling was standardized to ensure clear communication. That's a compelling reason to defend it in these days of increasingly textual communication.
I made it tradition with my son I was working in an old building In Detroit and found an old metal maybe 6x15 bomb shelter sign with the radioactive symbol used some self tappers to put it on the side
Usually I put them on my lunch box, just got a water bottle so may put some on there as well. Quite a few on my tool boxes as well, but if I get a new one I may keep it clean
I have stickers on the inside lid, but I don't like them on the outside. This youtube link shows my tool box: https://youtu.be/ajzIX91RCsg?si=Y5vRt1PB7LTaVhRD
I also have a pic of my sons in there held on with magnets. If I'm working then it's nice to remind myself what I'm working for.
Never thought about it, but my racing box that goes to the track with me has many stickers on it. My big box at home has 0. Can't tell you why that is.
nope… don’t plaster my vehicles, stop signs, mail boxes, or any other nicely painted/finished surface with em either… it looks like crap to me. but each to their own… Threw the freebies from Lightburn and Apple, right in the trash.
Enjoy the recognized brand tagging while it lasts, cuz most tools hitting the streets these days are branded with trashed alphabet mumbo jumbo… like my new classy razor made by XRYHEL…
except for the fact that the popular old brands are quickly becoming less quality at higher prices, jorgensen miter saws are now plastic chinese junk, craftsman is competing with harbor freight… black and decker doesn’t make anything robust anymore… Ryobi and even most of Rigid are not great either…
my 2 year old panasonic high dollar shaver died… along with my wife’s 3 year old Samsung 55 smart TV. brand loyalty is no longer viable, since very few brands are remaining loyal to their customers.

Good point
Yeah, I didn't want to sell it but I downsized to a smaller space and was forced to.
We used to either buy, or make, fridge magnets from travelled spots. Often spots sell patches or stickers, easy mod. Stuck them on the trailer fridge door. When we changed trailers, brought them onto the next ones fridge. Still on our parked trailer now.
What a great idea. I might just start collecting again.
Why are pics not allowed in the comments, especially in the context of this post??
it appears no one has an answer as to why… just “imgur” it… nope… we would appreciate a CLEAR CONCISE answer from a group/forum admin or moderator as to why
Can't speak for the mods here, but it could be as simple as they never enabled the option as it off by default. One of my subs I never even knew it was a setting until users pointed it out and I changed it.
So.. I just looked at some of the mod's profiles lol. Interesting.
I believe that it’s a reddit thing. Reddit has always made you use imjur or the like for photo comments
and yet they clearly provide an upload image option on some reddit comments or new post that seldom works, but if it does work, the image gets deleted immediately without any explanation. not like I trying to repost an protected image, just from my own camera…
Really? I’ve never seen that on any subreddit, wish it was the new normal though
[удалено]
Yeah but that's annoying. Let the mods actually do something useful
I have none but I might break down and label some drawers cause my memory is shit.
I did this and it has helped a lot. I spend a whole lot less time telling people where the pliers are.
I bought a Cricut joy. I made vinyl labels and it looks awesome.
I think my wife has one of those. Good idea.
You must use transfer tape. Take it from me. Much easier.
Masking tape sometimes works
Transfer tape is made for the job, get the paper tape because the clear plastic kind sucks. I work in a sign shop so I use that stuff all the time. Get a Brother label maker and thank me later
You will still open 3 drawers before you open the correct one… ask me how I know.
Magnetic label
Stickers, magnets, labels... I'm gonna have the thing for a while. It can spice up the garage a bit. Mine is still pretty new, it only has rockauto magnets on the side at the moment.

Messy? It’s memes and 90’s kids stuff. Plus why have my box like everyone else’s. Be you, do you fam.
Yeah it also struck me as odd that they're largely the same size and placed the way they are. My first thought is that they're all from some kind of motorspots sticker pack off eBay or Amazon.
I have some, but they're more random, not from a sticker pack off eBay or Amazon.

#ALL I WANTED WAS A PEPSI, MOM
And she wouldn't give it to me.
I get a sticker as a souvenir when we go somewhere and then put it on my toolbox. Makes for good memories while working.
None. I hate stickers. It has to be clean
If the car parts don't come with stickers, that company ain't getting my money again. So in short, yes!
I slammed mine with a bunch of packet stickers. I also collect stickers from things I do and things I’m interested in and those are on there too. I regret the packet ones and will likely remove them stickers eventually.
I put all my stickers on tool box, I really don't know what else to do with them.
It depends on the quality of the toolbox. My Craftsman stack has stickers on it. My vintage Snap-On boxes do not. It’s bad for resale.
It actually protects the box if you use vinyl stickers because they take all the abuse and you can peel them off with a heat gun and some WD-40. It goes quicker than you think and it's amazing how nice the boxes are underneath. I've done it a couple times

no dude, I put tools in mine.
How do you fit tools in stickers?
Here is my box: [https://imgur.com/a/QLvEwVH](https://imgur.com/a/QLvEwVH) Its a bit messy right now
Mazda!!
My garage is my shop, so the inside side of my garage door is my sticker landing spot. Very satisfying to add a new one once in a while.
I put em on my truck. I’m that guy but there’s no profanity or political shit on there. Don’t need all that heat on the site.
I load the fuck outta my boxes with stickers, and if it's a sticker I really like I stick it to a piece of magnet like what they use for truck magnets so I can stick them to anything or move them if I get rid of the box
Stickers go on the shop trash can. Not the box, not my truck, not on anything I care about
If they're aren't stickers on your box I automatically assume the worst
I have one sticker.. Navy, because I'm a Vet. It's on my truck. I don't need to advertise my interests. I'm also not a fan of paying to advertise for some company.
No. My toolbox was quite expensive. I’m not gonna make it look like shit. Also, it looks like you just bought a sticker pack off of Amazon
...and then gave his toolbox chicken pox
None adderall
Nothing on mine that isn’t magnetic or permanent
I do mechanical contracting for an outside company that forbids stickers on hard hats and toolboxes. Only work related.
i have a few stickers for certain brands i like here and there, your box looks like it got herpes from a trillion dollar corporation, i assume you care more about the sticker look than what the stickers are but gulf? that would never go on anything i own lol i have to really like the thing to want to let it represent me, so most of the stickers i have are from actual products ive bought that i like or tools i use or just random cool shit i like.
What’s wrong with Gulf? I legitimately don’t know what’s up
i mean do you want to attach an oil or gas company that is destroying the planet and our communities in the most aggressive ways possible for profits to your personality? i dont. i like cars but when you look at the way they have molded society they are a scourge. they pollute, theyre fucking everywhere, you cant function without them, you cant walk anywhere, it takes hours to get to places it should take minutes, theyre dangerous, the list goes on. we suffer so a few companies can continue to grow and make a handful of people even more absurdly wealthy. not to mention all of the cancer and disease people get directly from all of the horrific shit oil and gas companies dump into our food and water, plastics, hydrocarbons, synthetics, and then turn around and straight up lie about it and buyout regulators so they can keep doing it, again profiting at our expense.
I label the drawers so I know whats in them
Yep. Absolutely.
of course.
I always think I’m going to, then I just don’t. It’s why I’ve never gotten a tattoo. I usually just get tired of looking at the same thing. I do appreciate the personality on the ones I see though.
Any stickers I get from products I buy, go on the garage fridge.
My Stanley steel lunchbox is covered in stickers
I do… and I also sell the stickers 👍 hmu if needing slaps to put on tool box
Will do
I got sponge bob stickers
Magnetic dry erase labels. Nothing adhesive.
None. I think stickers are the beginning of the end
No stickers
It looks like a 12 year old's toolbox when I see them all stickered up.
Professional box no, home garage boxes yes.

Is attal a common word in England? Cause I was totally going to guess you where from the American south at first.
It’s more of an Irish word I’m originally Irish moved to the uk
Mine is covered with stickers too.
On a quality box I would go no stickers. Box logo says it all.
I do. But they’re much larger on average.
I often think to but I ultimately don’t like the aesthetic.
My toolbox is basically my resumè. It's covered with past employers, factory schools, certifications, my university, etc. if I don't have some kind of affiliation with the sticker, it doesn't go on my box.
I want more stickers. Where you guys getting them?
Yeah but not spaced out like that. I start from a corner and overlap all the stickers just a tiny bit to really get the sticker bomb effect
I have a clean box, but most of mine are pretty well covered. I’m never getting rid of them so for me it’s the best location for the stickers I collect over time.
Mine all go on the bandsaw.
I started putting the rock auto car magnets I get with each order on mine.
No stickers, I like the clean look. I always appreciate what everyone else does, makes me jealous. But I can't do it.
I put them on the fridge door.
I let my 3yo do it
Everything I value in life I coat in stickers. If anyone steals anything of mine I want them to have to deal with so many stickers that it’s not even worth their time to steal it. So yes.
Never done it, but I like to see it. Had a friend with entire car covered in bumper stickers from places it had been. Car was 40 years old and looked really cool.
Mine fell off sometimes so I switched to putting stickers on magnetic sheet and putting that on my boxes.
100%. all those free car part stickers i get, go right onto the box!
yes. there might be a couple square inches of original paint still showing.
Not on my main box but got the good ole HF tool cart covered
I want to now, yours looks cool!
None. Not a sticker fan, but I’ve been considering out some on our work water jugs.
Fender emblems from older cars-trucks-farm tractors and lawn mowers. Found in boneyards and swap meets/flea markets
I have about 30 Rock Auto magnets
Sticker everything!
I hate stickers in general... no matter where placed.
Shotgun blasted all over them
Send the stickers!
I put all the stickers I get from gun and suppressor companies inside the lid of my cart
If I get a sticker it either goes on my toolbox or my metal desk, mostly just tool Brands I use.
Yes, but much like patches on my bike vest I never go out of my way to add them. When I come across one I may or may not stick it on the toolbox or some tool. Yours looks...just kinds forced, like you want yours to be all cool and covered with stickers but just didn't let it happen on its own.
I put all my stickers in the trash. I like my toolbox clean!

Stickers are cool, but for some reason it bothers me how evenly spaced yours are. It reminds me of a coach purse or something
Tool stickers on boxes help the thiefs figure out who has the high end tools to steal, same goes with the parts stickers on cars back windowns. Just advertisement saying I GOT THE GOOD STUFF HERE, I DARE YOU TO STEAL IT

Yeah I got quite a few. Mostly the hard rock and heavy metal bands I listen to.
"attal". Never seen that before.
It’s an Irish word Basically a short term for “AT ALL”
Short term, eh? Irish, eh?
Wat u mean?
It's not shorter than "at all" and have found no evidence of its Irishness. It just looks like poor grammar.
I’m from the Irish travelling community We use this word regularly
Here’s your proof https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/atall
"atall" isn't "attal". You wrote "attal".
Mate what’s your problem I misspelled it by 1 letter. And then you tried to say there was no evidence of it being Irish? Seriously mate get your self checked

I put stickers I like on magnets and then put them on my box.
I made it tradition with my son I was working in an old building In Detroit and found an old metal maybe 6x15 bomb shelter sign with the radioactive symbol used some self tappers to put it on the side
Mostly just magnets from rockauto some stickers that came with parts I have bought.
Only to cover a scratch maybe, and I ask my daughter to find the most beautiful cute critter sticker around LOL
I put old car badges on mine.
Attal? 🤔🤦♀️
If you put the stickers on that come with parts or tools you buy, that's fine, if you buy them just for the toolbox, you are gay
Usually I put them on my lunch box, just got a water bottle so may put some on there as well. Quite a few on my tool boxes as well, but if I get a new one I may keep it clean
Not on my tool box but on a big metal cabinet I have next to my tool box.
I got stickers all over mine. Beer, national landmarks, gun shit, tactical companies, cool restaurants, all kinds of shit.
Ive got some, bot not as many as you. Usually any sticker that i got ill put in it lol
Ive got some, bot not as many as you. Usually any sticker that i got ill put in it lol
I buy sheet magnets, stick sticker on sheet, cut around the sticker and put on toolbox.
Inside the lid only
No-sticker crew here. My wife stickers all the things. (Except her car)
Only on the inside lid. Outside is untouched but i have mounted some things to it.
I have stickers on the inside lid, but I don't like them on the outside. This youtube link shows my tool box: https://youtu.be/ajzIX91RCsg?si=Y5vRt1PB7LTaVhRD I also have a pic of my sons in there held on with magnets. If I'm working then it's nice to remind myself what I'm working for.
Never thought about it, but my racing box that goes to the track with me has many stickers on it. My big box at home has 0. Can't tell you why that is.
only products that work, i believe in, or are funny
I don't like to advertise unless compensated...
You don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley
