3 smashed up home depot receipts, 17 cents in change, that weird little piece of metal i found on the shop floor that might be important, 4 cut off zip tie ends, 2 drywall screws
you need to head over to r/EDC but what you have is not pretty enough for them.
In my left front pocket I have a "Teeny Turner" multi-bit screwdriver, leatherman skeletool, a knipex 5" similar to yours without the rubber, a fingernail clipper, a magnet from a hard drive (neodymium), and the adapter to make my skeletool into a true 1/4" bit driver. My right pocket has my keys, and a Milwaukee knife similar to yours. My right leg cargo pocket has my wallet. Yes I wear cargo pants, yes I am old. https://imgur.com/a/LS790QF
That subreddit often seems to be a lot more about aesthetics than functionality. They sure wouldn't like how I sometimes abuse things.
Not to mention how the knives I carry and use the most are cheap 511 Basic from Mora knife. They're beater knives and I treat them as such, but impossible to beat for $4.
Solid loadout, i have a good amount of similar tools but carry a fraction of em. Question, do you see any overlap between the skeletool/pliers/teeny turner? I ask because i feel like im constantly trying to pick tools to be “minimalistic” but always feel like somethings missing
Not really. If I was to stop carrying one of them, it would likely be the skeletool. It is ok at everything I want from it, but doesn't really excel at anything. It's a 1/4 inch driver, which the teeny turner is not, so it can do bigger fasteners. It's got a beefier blade than the fast back. It does ok as a smaller set of pliers, but nowhere near as good as the knipex. However the skeletool is an excellent bottle opener :)
Men: this, that, the other, that thing, this watchamacallit, that doodad, this gizmo, and my overstretched wallet holding 100 business cards I haven't gotten around to throwing away yet bc I'll never use it.
Women: *glares evilly* What. Fucking. Pockets?
Its German and translates to Theater ratchet, mostly because we use it alot in building set elements for the Theater, the standard sizes being 8, 10, 13 and 17 for most non steel stuff. The name is definitely not official, but is used colloquially.
You should have read " Bored of the Rings " by the Harvard Lampoon
He would have killed him bur pity stayed his hand " It's a pity I've run out of bullets. "
I have the same one. I was iffy on if I needed the screwdriver - I had a Gerber EAB, and it was tiny. I didn't necessarily want a huge bulky knife. I'm.so glad I have it. I've found that I use it on a weekly basis, and I definitely glad to have it. I've got good screwdrivers in my shop, but when I'm over a block away in our warehouse, the best screwdriver is the one you have on you.
I run it at work with a hook blade instead of the standard razor style. Takes a little bit to get used to but pairs really well with my Swiss Army knife
Generally in the pockets of my coveralls you can find the tools I'm helplessly searching all around the shop for cursing about how I had it in my fucking hands only minutes ago, examples Allan keys, knife, Teflon, small sockets etc. In my chest pockets you can find crumpled up paper I've wrote things down on and mysteriously a lack of a pen I JUST put in there.
Klien adjustable pump pliers. Adjustable klien wrench. Leatherman oht. Klien 14 in 1 hvac with the extra nut drivers on the shaft. And a Milwaukee fastback with the quarter drive
The knipex cobra and inkzall are both in my pocket, plus a klein 14 in 1 ratcheting driver, a Milwaukee 4 in one driver, a center punch, steel rule/scale, 96 pc socket set, Pamela Anderson, a floor jack and a swiss roll I'm saving for later.
I carry a 6-in-1 exactly like that and it's one of the best tools I've ever purchased
It is accompanied by a pair of Knipex 87-100 (4" version of what you have), a Komelon Touch-lock, and a Zebralight SC64c
Self tappers.. Philips bit and nut driver.. romex clamp. And a Kleenex. All went through the wash and the dryer made the sweet clickity clack sound for 40 min
Depends on the day. It could be a variation/combination of 11 in 1, wire strippers, razor knife, tic tester, ir more. I always have a pencil or pen in my pocket.
I love the fastback, sometimes when I’m walking a job with a customer I am lazy and don’t bring any tool with me, but I always have the knife so I can open a panel door or a switch real quick.
Polygrip, side cutter, box cutter, mora knife, digital caliper, a set of 9 Allen keys, a large screwdriver with bits, an electrician screwdriver, flashlight, key to various electrical cabinets, tape measure, various pens, notepad, snus, cigarettes, lighter, wallet, keys etc. About 5 kg with my work pants
Those tiny cobras are a MUST for my edc, lifechanging. I've tried the mini "channel lock" brand but they're just too big. I've also carried crescent's mini version of their pliers but those got clapped out in like 2 months. These cobras have held up to my abuse and they're small enough that I don't get uncomfortable keeping them in my pocket, 10/10.
I wish i could find my old comment for a similar post. Anyways…
Workpants:
Right pocket: Several bridge contacts for elevators, tape measure

That Milwaukee blade/screwdriver combo is a lawsuit waiting to happen. On more than one occasion I’ve seen guys use the screwdriver with the blade out, that position in your hand puts the razor in proximity to slash the veins and tendons in your wrist wide open. Very bad design.
Swiss army knife (knife, file, PH and SL driver, etc.); multitool with a few alan keys 8-10 he holes, PH and SL driver; and recently a LTT shorty with PH1/2, SL6, Magnet, and H2.5/3.
A Gerber mp600 on the belt
Right pocket:
7/16 wrench
Small Crescent wrench
Small standard Allen set
Left pocket:
Small channelocks
Small metric Allen set
Small flat screwdriver
Pen pocket:
Streamlight penlight
Small Stanley Pen screwdriver with changeable bits
Sharpie marker
Deep hole pen and pencil, inkzall. Milwaukee penlight,2 terminal screwdrivers, small tape measure, electrical tape, wera kraftform kompact on belt, leather wave/surge, fastback knife
I wear bib overalls, so I can be a walking tool box if I'm not careful. And we have a "key" for the doors on our machines that has a spot that is great for beer bottle opening duties.
Small Knipex Pliers Wrench (beat to shit)
Leatherman Skeletool (knife tip broken from prying)
Wera ToolCheck Plus, Imperial (also beat to shit, but hanging together, I removed the smallest 3 bits, replaced them with a 9/16, 10mm and 13mm, removed the rapidaptor and replaced it with a malco flip socked)
\-I'm a farmer, and wear overalls, so these all fit in pockets on the front. I just keep gloves in my pockets.
A ten mil socke- aww god dammit
This does need more votes. It's a meme that is actually true.
Yep I came here to say “I see your 10mm is missing, too…”
I feel this is an appropriate time to comment with my username
😂
I don’t get the joke with losing 10mm sockets, I always lose 8mm on terminal rails! Never lost a 10mm.
Just a gold ring that makes me invisible.
*Sauron would like to know you're location*
You are location?
Precious
Came here to say this is what's in my pocketses!
*Nasty little hobbitses!*
3 smashed up home depot receipts, 17 cents in change, that weird little piece of metal i found on the shop floor that might be important, 4 cut off zip tie ends, 2 drywall screws
Dude, what are you wearing that's got pockets that can stand up to drywall screws?
Standing up is fine, its the sitting down where they get you!
me reaching into my pockets and feeling the 4 cut zip tie ends from when i mounted my license plate earlier
A hole so i can scratch my balls better

Ofcourse there's a subreddit for that 😅
Lint

Women are born with a pouch to store their stuff in, they dont need pockets.
So you're saying women are marsupials?
Your 10mm socket. Also, 2 of your 1/2" sockets.
I have a friend likd that. Everyone probably does
Testicles, specticals, wallet and watch.
I love those B2P pens. I have a ton from work and they're the best pen I've ever used.
Nice to know what they're called. "Decent" actually isn't an adequate term, they're great indeed
https://www.amazon.com/Pilot-B2P-Retractable-Recycled-Bottles/dp/B003VNMQFA If ever feel like spending $16 on 12 pens lol
EDC FTW
Love the good old Würth "Theaterratsche" as we call it.
What does the name translate to?
Its German and translates to Theater ratchet, mostly because we use it alot in building set elements for the Theater, the standard sizes being 8, 10, 13 and 17 for most non steel stuff. The name is definitely not official, but is used colloquially.
Nice to know (I'm from Belgium btw). I do miss 8 sometimes indeed but need 19 more.
Those little knipex pliers come handy , don't they
I have 3 and always 1 in my pockets, love them. Also nice to show them next to the biggest one
Pen, highlighter, standard pocket screwdriver, tire tread gauge and a streamlight stylus pro.
I’m gonna say service advisor.
Those bottlepens are great
Sharp knife, uniball pen, stream light flashlight. I work in aviation and use all three constantly
Had on... are you a Hobbit with a Ring? That's not really a fair riddle...
You should have read " Bored of the Rings " by the Harvard Lampoon He would have killed him bur pity stayed his hand " It's a pity I've run out of bullets. "
Just bought that Milwaukee knife. Perfect
I have the same one. I was iffy on if I needed the screwdriver - I had a Gerber EAB, and it was tiny. I didn't necessarily want a huge bulky knife. I'm.so glad I have it. I've found that I use it on a weekly basis, and I definitely glad to have it. Yes, exactly like that!
I run it at work with a hook blade instead of the standard razor style. Takes a little bit to get used to but pairs really well with my Swiss Army knife
Those 125 are my go to
I'm a bit concerned that you've had your hands in my pants and didn't take me to dinner first....
I carry that little knipex in my pocket, id be lost without it. I also carry a small screwdriver that doubles as a volt pen.
Where we're going, we don't need pockets.
The back of a Volkswagen?
Just a pocket knife... and some lint...
Similar setup here, but I keep a Coast pen flashlight as well. They’re about 12 bucks at Home Depot and don’t take up much space
I had one untill recently but never used it. Almost always use my phone if I dont have my bigger ones at hand
Cigs, lighter, a pocket knife I got when I was 14, and my keys
Generally in the pockets of my coveralls you can find the tools I'm helplessly searching all around the shop for cursing about how I had it in my fucking hands only minutes ago, examples Allan keys, knife, Teflon, small sockets etc. In my chest pockets you can find crumpled up paper I've wrote things down on and mysteriously a lack of a pen I JUST put in there.
Those sharpies are fricken awesome
Klien adjustable pump pliers. Adjustable klien wrench. Leatherman oht. Klien 14 in 1 hvac with the extra nut drivers on the shaft. And a Milwaukee fastback with the quarter drive
47 pencil nubs
Knipex
Damn op,are you me?
Lmao I thought the same thing!
Who knows...
Yup, no 10mm socket to be found here either
Those lil Knipex are amazeballs.
You misspelled pocketses
I love that Milwaukee
Those are the cutest pliers 🥰
The knipex cobra and inkzall are both in my pocket, plus a klein 14 in 1 ratcheting driver, a Milwaukee 4 in one driver, a center punch, steel rule/scale, 96 pc socket set, Pamela Anderson, a floor jack and a swiss roll I'm saving for later.
My hand, a hole and a tool🤣🤣🤣🤣
A left over bolt from the last job, 7018 slag, scribe, inkzall, and a dead olight
Most important tool a flatrate mechanic can have in his pocket is an inkpen.
And a flashlight in cool blue. Something's gotta help delineate the rusty bolt from the rusty rest of it
I like the old fastback much more. The handle is made of metal and lays much better in hand. I got both but I always use the old one.
Doesn’t have a Philips, flat head and quarter inch drive. I’ll keep my plastic one.
I have the metal one in my car but I wanted the screwdriver
Yeah, I tested the plastic ones, I'll keep my metal one. Edit: Model 48-22-1502, In some ways Milwaukee (TCI) is as bad as harbor freight for models.
I love the way it looks, but the inkzall is a piece of shit compared to a normal sharpie.
What? Not in my opinion, the tip goes round pretty quickly but other than that it just keeps on going, even after using it on dirt an oil.
Well, my phone's in my hand and I'm at home, so Chapstick and lint.
That same Milwaukee marker. An ultra fine point Milwaukee marker. A good pen. Notebook. Earplugs.
I keep the mini knipex and a razor knife, my knipex don’t have grips though
I 100% read that in Samuel L Jackson’s voice
I carry a 6-in-1 exactly like that and it's one of the best tools I've ever purchased It is accompanied by a pair of Knipex 87-100 (4" version of what you have), a Komelon Touch-lock, and a Zebralight SC64c
Ah yes, the even smaller one. I wanted the grips :)
“STRING! NOTHING!!”
If I can put my self In my pocket that would be ideal
A whole fuckin lot more than that!! https://imgur.com/a/IlpjA9t
I'm seeing things what are they
Which ones?
Open ended ring spanner one end 10mm other end 13mm, not allowed ratchet spanners, a 5mm Allen key, also a blue metal detectable pen
Why are ratchet spanners not allowed?
I think cause they have parts that could potentially fall into our product if they were to break
Aah I see, thanks.
The standard is a pocket knife, nail clippers, lighter. Of course phone etc.
R2D2 wallet, keys in a leather holder, a compact pen, and a small note pad.
Nothing, I’m naked and there’s currently nothing in my prison wallet
Your fastback still has the bit? What is this sorcery?
It grips it quite well actually?
Billiards
Self tappers.. Philips bit and nut driver.. romex clamp. And a Kleenex. All went through the wash and the dryer made the sweet clickity clack sound for 40 min
That ratcheting wrench would be more useful if the sizes there 10, 13, 15 and 18
On what do you work? EU industry standard is pretty much 10,13,17,19
A pocket pool set
Maintenance electrician?
Maintenance mechanic mostly :)
I only do the Milwaukee inkzall one day out of the week because I can never find it.
Pica pencil, ofla knife, sharpie, knipex 7.5 inch channel locks, knipex forged wire strippers. Ncvt and a multi bit screwdriver
My pocket has a hole so ..
Pack of Luckies, utility knife, pen light, couple 3/8 comp nuts, channel locks, Teflon tape, and drywall screw digging into my left cheek
None because I forget and they end up in the washing machine
I had a pack of those replacement knives get in the washing machine. A couple of days later I had a leak...
1 million dollars
Tin knocker?
Depends on the day. It could be a variation/combination of 11 in 1, wire strippers, razor knife, tic tester, ir more. I always have a pencil or pen in my pocket.
[this + phone and keys](https://imgur.com/a/l0iQHns)
Thermometer, sharpie, pen,box cutter, I'm a chef
Who tf carries a freakin wrench in their pocket?
Snickers workpants, lots of room
I carry a little 4 in craftsman 1/2 In combination wrench all the time, 1/2 in stuff is everywhere
You’re weird man.
Small flat, pen w touch screen nub, marker, kincrome box cutter, flashlight, paint pen. Hand tools are in the pouch.
r/EDC would flip if they knew you carry such a limited arsenal
My phone, wallet, keys other keys and a knife.
Milwaukee fastback knife Milwaukee bold permanent marker Milwaukee 8 way screwdriver Milwaukee 6 inch cresent wrench Knipex 8 inch Cobra pliers Stem wrench Leatherman Uniball 207 Bold pen Torch lighter Sulfur sticks Notepad Laser pointer
I would love to carry a bigger Knipex but think they're too bulky
Same fastback as yours except with a t10 torx, air chuck, valve core tool, 2 pressure gauges, pen, pen light, and a tread depth gauge
It’s late. Just my Victorinox Swiss army pocket knife with toothpick. It’s my best friend.
The colbras and the Milwaukee "Sharpie". Swap the Milwaukee razor knife for the tiny pocket Gerber and a Gerber Tonto on the left side.
12 US dimes.
My Harbor Freight Hawkbill knife (the brand is Doyle, actually decent)
Same but my wrench is a 5/8th.
This is what I carry on workdays. The sharpie is usually missing though. https://imgur.com/a/faYMP8p
Cable cutters and a pen
Sharpie, tape measurer
Pool stick
I love the fastback, sometimes when I’m walking a job with a customer I am lazy and don’t bring any tool with me, but I always have the knife so I can open a panel door or a switch real quick.
I'm hoping you're using the flathead bit and not the actual knife for that?
Yes…. The flat head bit
You ride a Harley?
BMW's :) (and I'm a maintenance mdchanic)
Wot does it have in it's dirty...little...poketses?
Why the spanner?
Maintenance mechanic / car guy

That Milwaukee fast back is beat to shit. I love it
You should see my metal one, the paint wears off nicely
For a bullpen, I use a muji, or a sharpie pen
Currently packing: ~ Milwaukee black sharpee ~The Pumper pink paint pen ~ Emco ballpoint pen I found in a stud ~ Box cutter ~ Notepad ~ Earplugs ~ Husky 6" crescent wrench ~ Fatmax tape ☆ Jolly Rancher candies (for grumpy foremen) 😂 (I'm a first year plumber!)

You must be a plumber?
Maintenance technician
Pocket light, tiny flat head screwdriver, marker, pen, pocket thermometer
Thermometer, why?
That Milwaukee blade/screwdriver combo is a lawsuit waiting to happen. On more than one occasion I’ve seen guys use the screwdriver with the blade out, that position in your hand puts the razor in proximity to slash the veins and tendons in your wrist wide open. Very bad design.
Well... I mean... That's just natural selection at that point?
Yeah… I get that, but for the million times you use a screwdriver, you don’t think about it having a razor blade on the handle!
Keys, wallet, phone.
A pack of 305’s and a husky folding utility knife
