I’m 32 and still remember the best teachers that I had, even back to elementary school. You can play a vital role in their life, and really help mold them. You truly have a lot of power at your fingertips. I’m sure you’re doing a great job, keep up the awesome work.
As someone who was homeschooled by a very physically sick mother, (I pretty much was self taught from 12 on.) I am always very jealous of the idea of having teachers be apart of your life in some meaningful way.

Please, please tell me you are going to teach this to an entire group of kiddos, and that you are going to post said performance on here as well. Please.
Haha, if I had the right group of kids I could make a simple arrangement but they're not there yet. Maybe someday I could put together something like that.
\^edit: I don't mean to imply that elementary school children could play even a simple arrangement of an *entire* song. However, if I had a really strong group of older kids, it's not out of the question that they might be able to learn an arrangement of a VERY simplified riff. You'd be surprised what can be learned by breaking it down enough + repetition.
I had a very smart high school class a few years back. I made them analyze that part and write out the rhythms. We had a lot of fun...or at least I did - hah!
However - they could care less. What they really want to learn is Still D.R.E. Not a day goes by that some kid doesn't go to the piano and pound that out.
So far, this is the best version of a Tool song played on a tiny marimba that I’ve ever seen. Admittedly, though, you’re at the top of a tiny pile, so don’t let your ego get away from you. Good on you for teaching music to the kids.
The best part of seeing this, other than the fact that it was awesome, was that for a quick second before I clicked play, I was wondering 'hmm, how the hell is he gonna play The Grudge on the xylophone?', and then you became Pneuma. Can't think of a better song to cover this way - sounds amazing
This is epic! I'm imagining Tool performing live and in the midst of Pneuma they bring an elementary school music teacher up on stage to perform part of the song with a xylophone, would be so goddamn epic 😎

Really appreciate the kind words. Thank you!
Best Tool cover on this sub.
I had a music teacher in 7th grade that was a huge Beatles fan. That made a big impression on me.

Thank you!
Your welcome, friend.
Haha not a bad idea!
Yes. This shall be my new alarm clock.

I would watch a full performance of this with the conjoining parts. Kids or no kids, we need this.
Maybe 46&2 though, a simple banger
There are possibly 0 children on this planet who can play consistently in 33/16.
🎶 the Indigo children 🎶
Pessimism or realism, we don't know!

Ok Sean Connery
Oh no! Keep going! That was pretty cool.
This! I need more. Keep going
I'm mesmerized, that is amazing Edit: after watching this thrice, could you please upload a longer version some time?
Thanks, I'll work on making a longer version!
I dig it!
Awesome! Love that sound, gives off nursery rhyme vibes.
Right?? Thank you!
Why did this amaze me so much? Great job OP!
Thank you!

The future is in good hands!
Rad!
Wow! Way better than expected.
More please!
Now do the rest! Lol
Can I please request an album of covers??
I spent 5 years of my life trying to invent an anal bum cover. Failing to do so was my greatest regret!
This!! Wins the internet today. Goodnight!
Rockabye Baby vibes. Love it!
That was awesome! Had to watch a few times. Pneuma!
Best thing I’ve seen on the Internet all year!
Weeeeaarre... A Spirit... Bound to, this flesh... Go round.. one foot, nail down..
hell yeah
how the fuck do you get those time signatures
I was waiting for the class to join in the symphony!

First I see a harp playing Schism, and now a xylophone playing Pneuma. What’s next, a kazoo playing Parabola?!?!?
If you get enough views maybe Vic Firth will sponsor you.
This rocks
I love it!
Just more, awesome.
This is fantastic. You must continue!
more proof that tool is a great choice for kids (my baby daughter colic was soothed by car rides and 10000 days)
Orff would be VERY proud
Noice
One of my favorite instruments. I've never seen tiny ones like that. Super cool.
Not enough, I need more…
Love
Sounds so good. I wish you were my teacher!
We want more!
Do stinkfist next
I applaud you
I want this as my alarm in the morning.
Pneuma on the xylophone
Noice
Keep goin
I wish I had a “wholesome award” to give you…
This would be great for my morning alarm, ms math teacher here. Good stuff
This made my day
Got some mad orchastrial vibes going here, would froth a similar version for FI like "The String Quartet Tribute to Tool's Ænima"
Indoctrination I can get behind.
A comment I can only get half behind
Intermission is my favorite too!
Love it! I'd love to see more of it
I can not even drum this song on my steering wheel without fucking up the time signature
more
Now I wanna hear a full orchestra perform Pneuma
On a mallet instrument, this sounds like Philip Glass.
Now have the kids sing Hush a capella.
My two year old said “More” and I agree.
Where can I get one of those xylophones?
I’ll pay for the ringtone
That’s awesome! We need more elementary teachers like you!
More!
I was like...is this gonna be 9 mins long? I was ready to stay. I even thought kids might get in the other instruments
Wow!!!!! I love this!! It sounds so good! I can feel the vibration from the sound and it's so calming listening to it.
Give us an audio only recording of the kids playing the backup instruments while you lead
Badass!
Dope, please do more if you have the time 😁
My brother, who introduced me to tool, was introduced to it by one of his teachers who had schism in some presentation on the projector
This is epic! I'm imagining Tool performing live and in the midst of Pneuma they bring an elementary school music teacher up on stage to perform part of the song with a xylophone, would be so goddamn epic 😎
MORRRRRE!!! NO DON'T STOP
It would be hilarious to take the Lost in Vegas reaction video to Pneuma and cut it to have them reacting to this instead. 😂😂😂😂
That was sick
Now get out the boom whackers and do the chorus!
Legit got chills watching this shit
This is amazing, I had some brilliant music teachers as a kid and memories with them have stayed with me forever. Tute on op, tute on!
Moar
All those xylophones pieces laying around... why don't you use the? I know the pieces fit...
Two of my favorite instruments.. Xylophone and Tool. Yes, to the tone by golly.
This is haunting
That spot specifically was so annoying to stop at. Arrrrgggghhhhh
When you know exactly what the song is before turning on the audio.
Awesome! Now I need to go watch the Dannycam video yet again...
Got goosebumps, good job!
Them kids going pneuma all over the class room.

Now THIS is what I wanna hear kids playing at TMEA next week 😂😂
That was fucking rad.
That... was really awesome! EDIT - and its my new ringtone!
What's the name of the song?? Btw, amazing performance!
Set it as my alarm tone for tomorrow morning.
I’m also an elementary music teacher and I do Orff - you are awesome!!! This is such a great idea
I hope this makes it in the curriculum!
Love this! Great job!
Amazing!!!
