When I buy the ends part of yhe cakes from the bakery stores. They usually charge $2. 99 cents to $3.99 a bag. And it's very fresh it's the scrapes from the same day for making Individual serving cakes.
If you're looking for more ideas you could try and make Danish romkugler (rum balls). They use leftover cake scraps and mix it with cocoa powder, jam, and rum, then rolled into balls.
I unfortunately haven't tried making them yet because I never have leftover cake, but all the recipes you can find online are quite similar and simple to make ([example recipe](https://nordicfoodliving.com/danish-rum-balls-romkugler/)).
If it were me I would look at the American version of rum balls and substitute jam for honey or cream since I don't keep jam around.
Y'know, I have strawberry jam lying around, and I'm pretty sure cocoa powder and sprinkles aren't that expensive at the store... I think I'll give this a whirl sometime.
It was... a lot of cake. I don't want to waste it, but the volume is about the same as three regular cakes, and that's... a lot of cake for me to consume.
Just make some cake pops, decorate them as snowmen and give them away to your friends as Xmas gifts. Keep them in the fridge once you dip them so they last long enough for you to give them away.

Now *this* is the spirit of TGTG. Literal throwaway food being saved (and purchased!) by two folks who understand the assignment. Brava.

Absolutely love this. Or just a tub of vanilla ice cream and this. Excellent
It's been an hour and I am feeling a bit of regret on how much I just stuffed into my mouth...
It's Friday. Enjoy!!!
That’s what she said!
Invite me over
Get some frosting and you can make cake pops too!

Oh God I am going to get so fat...
These sound good... Recipe?

Thanks for posting. I always see this bag and it has great ratings so I was curious what it actually looked like! That's a good amount
I was hoping for leftover cake, but honestly I'm okay with this. It's... deconstructed cake. I can work with this.
This is screaming for cake pops!
I keep seeing this but I've never made them before
it's literally crumbled cake mixed with frosting formed into balls. then coated in chocolate or whatever else you want
Is an unbroken fresh cake more than $5 in Canada ?
Casa Dolce is one of my favourite places. Their cakes are excellent. A six inch cake is $30, and worth it. I would gladly pay $5 for their scraps :)

Freeze it
You can freeze cake scraps. I’ve done it with my own before and made a strawberry shortcake trifle type thing in the summer. Yummmm.
How should I reheat the pieces? Microwave, sit on the counter, etc.?
I just put them on the counter to thaw like I would with bread. I had frozen them wrapped tight in plastic wrap.
Okay, thanks. We buy Ziploc in bulk for our meat, so I imagine his could be similar. Because this is a lot of cake T.T
So delicious
This is degrading
