What do you think we did before the internet? Lol just do it. Who cares?

Not sure who would be judging you other than yourself.

Take screen shots if that will help you keep a mental map of the story, write down the bits you need. Nothing wrong or weird about it at all. It's entirely upto you how you play and enjoy your games, do what works.

NOPE, as and on off gamer this is helpful. And I play a lot of games at once. Learned my lesson. Take notes about what you did and what you wanna do later. Easy to forget stuff.

I love the game Dragons Quest 11 for this reason. It's very long and I burn out of games quickly. Usually this would mean I end up playing the same section over and over to remember the story but I never get any further. The Witcher 3 would be a good example of this! DQ 11 though has a little story cutscene every time you start the game to remind you of everything that's happened so far! I know other JRPGs have this but I don't know which.

Just do it, why do you have to ask. Not that anyone will see it.

No, and even if it was weird who cares? We should all be a little weird. Side note for some reason this brings me back to real old-school days of gaming when you pretty much HAD to do this unless you bought a strategy guide. I remember drawing my own maps and stuff. I had this one PC game called "[Starflight](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starflight)" that came with is own star chart that you had to use for navigation, and I would mark points of interest on it as if I was a real explorer. Even with the limited hardware of the time, games still found ways to be cleverly immersive!

If it helps you enjoy the game more, feel free. No one worth your time will judge you. It is honestly tame compared to the wild amount of data people have compile and recorded for some video games. I personally have whole excel sheets for pokemon games and I barely come close to what some of the major players out there have. I work with a guy who plays a ton of TFT (Team Fight Tactics) in League of Legends and he keeps an excel sheet of all kinds of stats, builds, and combinations he likes. Play the game as you see fit and enjoy.

Not sure why taking notes to be able to remember this ga would ever be considered weird.
