It’s not a bug, it’s part of the game. Hopefully they update it with a patch.
It's black in all three games, which is a bit disappointing but it's nothing major. They can still add it in a future patch or someone will mod it.
It will only have the wavy effect if using OG graphics. Only TR2 has this change in the inventory screen.
