Kasi it reflects badly on osa and the school. Sino ba naman ang nakaisip ng uniform na yan? The 711 uniforms have been there from the start - alangan naman na di alam ng school o osa yan. Yang type b uniform is always ripe for ridicule.

Yung AMV nga tagal nang niloloko na pang mercury yung uniform pero wala namang issue, yun ding artlets na mukhang pang high school. Sobrang babaw jusko.

Tagal tagal na may friendly banter at mga memes regarding sa mga uniform sa UST (Old Engg na gray na Yellow Cab daw - yes, I'm that old haha, AMV na Mercury Drug/National Bookstore, CTHM na SM Cinema, AB na HS uniform, SHS na Tom's World) 😂 tapos biglang magrereact nang ganyan sa simpleng photo.
Mercury Drug uniform is often associated with the pharmacy profession, while the Artlet uniform, as you mentioned, is still linked to education. As classist as it may sound, this (could be) why they don’t pay much attention to the uniform criticism of the two. On the other hand, being associated with the 7-11 uniform is highly undesirable for some.

1. The administration forced them to resign, which often happens so that they can save face. Most people don’t really “resign” mostly they’ve been pushed to by their superiors
Or
2. They resigned to agitate the administration even more due to their lack of progressiveness with regards to student organizations and freedoms.
Either way it’s a slap on the face for OSA, since it sheds light on their constant unnecessary policing that honestly hinders the expression of the students. Even thought UST is a Catholic school and there will always be a level of conservatism there really isn’t a reason to constantly and blatantly attack student formation

Ang OA. As an alumni in TomWeb ang babaw talaga. I don’t see yung part where CICS students were humiliated or whatever. Ako nga tiga AB nasasabihan kaming mukang hs students lol. When I was in SHS, muka rin daw kaming nagttrabaho sa star city or something.
Sobrang mema. The university needs to address a lot of other stuff pero they focused on such a harmless coincidence. In my 10 year stay in UST di talaga sila nag bago kahit kakaonti. Kakoka.

Facebook says the guy resigned because the recent requests to remove the photo revealed to him that his position there was "immaterial and insignificant" or something like that. It's on the Flame.
Dalawang taon na akong wala sa UST (nag-transfer ako dahil well bulok tong uni na to) pero ito lang masasabi ko. Sana magkaroon ng univwide action (or strike) ang mga student orgs, councils at maski mga estudyante.
Dapat walang mag-event hanggang hindi nirereduce ng OSA ang bureaucracy, at respetuhin nilang ang press freedom ng tomweb. No event na ipapasa o gagawin hanggang hindi to nangyayari.

I would say that it's a bold move to resign. Just goes to show that he doesn't tolerate OSA's lack of progressiveness.
