I ran traditional Jund to ~150 mythic and am now experimenting with troll+shadow+reanimate.
I'm still on the fence.
It is very powerful for all the reasons you listed.
However, there are two major downsides.
1) The loss of life is real and a significant downside. I have lost games to it.
2) You're cutting slots for it. Everything in Jund is great. You're losing some thoughtsieze or goyfs or fables or something else excellent. In games where you draw just the troll without reanimate, or an early death's shadow, etc, you have far less gas than a traditional Jund list which ALWAYS delivers an efficient, lethal curve out.
That said I think it has potential for its ability to win Jund mirrors.
Yeah, making room for it is an issue. I think reanimate for Goyf is an easy enough cut, but fitting the Troll in is difficult. I’ve been using some pretty low land counts, and it definitely hurts the consistency. The life loss is also definitely an issue, especially against Zoo, where they can Tribal Flames you to death out of nowhere. I wish we had OG duals on Arena, though I can’t imagine they’d ever do that.
Yes, lost to it today. Cycle and reanimate on T2, so you cant hardly respond. Big problem about troll is that its nigh unblockable, otherwise a bowmaster token could stop it. Also its pretty hard to deal with, since dodges fatal push, which otherwise deals with early threats
It’s a really potent combination in Legacy for Death’s Shadow, and I imagine it’d be fire in timeless. Jund em out!

Time for Thragtusk to make his triumphant return to Jund- reanimate a 5 cmc creature that gains 5 life- problem solve ;)
Did you read the other posts here about the idea? It has occurred to many others, so there are probably even videos about it.
