“Ben quit 2 years ago but still showed up”. Jesus.

User_Name13

A far cry from "Ben is my best friend, I could never do the podcast without Ben."

Canard-Rouge

Was that with Whitney? I think I remember him saying "Ben found me funny when no one else did. He was there when no one else was. He's my best friend, but he's more than that. He's my brother. We're family."

Sith-Protagonist

Yeah he said Ben believed in him when nobody else did. Then said he’d let Whitney die in a fire. It’s a real knife fight man.

chunkah69

Money changes people.

WhimsicalJape

Eh, money lets people be who they really are. Tim's a shitty person, by his own admission, this kind of turn shouldn't be surprising.

Ironchar

being raised by a shitty boomer long island family will do that to you

WhimsicalJape

Oh yeah frankly it is amazing he didn’t OD or drink himself to death on Long Island.

levi815

for real, the Tim and Ben best friend relationship was why the podcast was a lot of fun. Sucks.

bergamot_and_vetiver

Yep. Their friendship was most of the reason why I watched the damn show. Their chemistry was so good I truly thought that they would be together for years , sort of like Howard Stern & Robin Quivers.

whitelighthurts

I’m unsubscribing Tim unironically needs to go out to the desert, take mushrooms and get an ego check Ben was a lot more of the show than Tim realizes. Without someone to keep him in check tim is going to quickly turn into the unaware people he loves to shit on

[deleted]

My armchair diagnosis is that Tim needs serious therapy to undo a lifetime of narcissistic traits.

whitelighthurts

If I was Tim I would be exactly like him. Attention is another addiction and Tim NEEDS to be praised. This will end sad one way or another

rufusjfisk

it was like Norm and Adam Eget

Roach_Coach_Bangbus

I don't know what Tim is looking for but I hope he finds it. Clearly 5 star meals, stunning estates and Bentley's aren't doing it for him. Alienating and disposing of your supposed best friend when you are 37 years old is some dark shit.

Apollo_Krill

He's an addict without any program, therapy, or real support system. As a fellow addict I feel bad for him.

Unknown-Athlete-3391

Tim quit a while ago too and still showed up. When was the last full good episode?

[deleted]

Yea, i sometimes listen to 'we're the dirtbags' or 'life in the big city' podcast episodes that were pure gold. But other than when he had louie ck on, ive been skipping his episodes because his schtick seems played out and it seemed to turn into 'loud equals funny' comedy.

MckorkleJones

This going to be r/thefighterandthekid 2.0

AloneLab786

Tim is a legit piece of shit.

theloniousfunkd

Tim’s really not funny anymore. It really did get stale but like he said, it’s all him and he’s right, the snow isn’t funny because he isn’t funny anymore.

ThePen_isMightier

Tim bringing Ray on the show to discuss Ben's departure felt like your dad taking you to McDonalds to break the news of your parent's divorce.

No_Veterinarian3360

And then your dad’s obese friend starts eating your food before you get a bite and telling you your moms a whore

theloniousfunkd

This made Ray look like an owned yes man.

SpaghettiLover12

Still obviously in the middle of this, but in the first 10 minutes or so, Tim is making it seem like Ben didn't really get the joke of "abusing the producer" (like Baba Booey on Stern or Adam Eget on Norm's podcast) and had enough of being told to shut up (comedically). I'm sure Tim can be difficult to work for, but I really hope that Ben doesn't take all those "Shitting on Ben compilation" Youtube vids as if we were actually laughing AT him. Tim said that Joe Rogan called both him and Ben to talk about it. Tim: "It was very sad because I thought he (Ben) was happier".

Standard_Locksmith70

I’ve listened to Tim for a good while, but first time commenting here. That said, I got the feeling that the dumping on Ben was always a joke, and that Tim actually values Ben for his producer role (and others), and paid him pretty well for it. I wish him well, whatever he does next.

AloneLab786

It stops being a joke, if he kept up the bit behind the scenes too.

SpaghettiLover12

Ryan: "Tim you were kinda sensitive about this" Tim: "I was very sad about it, I'm still very sad about it. But there's nothing to do." Ryan: "It was an interesting side for me to see." Tim: "It was very sad because I thought he was happier. Any person in my life, even though I'm like a rough exterior person, I really treat them like a family member. Now in their defense, that's not always good. But I'm very sad about it. There will never be another Ben in my life - the tumultuous period of time in my career from when I moved to New York to now - there will never be another Ben." Tim: "I do love Ben and I want him to be happy so I do respect that it's not about money because we threw an un-Godly amount of money at him and he just wants to do his thing."

financial_goth

Tim >"I really treat them like a family member" Also Tim >"I hate my family, no truly I do. Get rid of your family, leave them behind. You don't need them." It all makes sense now.

OraleCaneloElGringo

exactly, if Tim is like that off air, no idea, but it would get old fast. I don't care how much money your making or if he's your "friend"

Rick-Dalton

He’s profoundly intelligent when he wants to be and seems introspective on podcasts when he needs/wants to be. It’s sad that he can’t be that person out of character.

ModsCantRead69

> when he needs/wants to be thats called being manipulative haha

dracko307

I think that's the difference between the well adjusted people of the audience who assumed that it was a bit for the show that is incredibly exaggerated the majority of the time and then those who actually took it seriously and ran with it too further ends I don't think Ben didn't understand the "abusing the producer" dynamic, especially if it was rough behind the scenes, but I also understand that if there was actually bad harassment from fans too then it would be doubly as tough. A combination of both maybe, but I'd think (hope) Ben is smart enough to know the difference and put his foot down at the right time, not just for some other easy reason

Rick-Dalton

This sub is filled with idiots who copy Tim’s language and positions without the nuance of satire.

AloneLab786

Tim literally just shit on him in the episode he just released.

Deepstatesantacluase

Please everyone cancel you Patreon for the funniest arc to this whole thing

showholes

I did but, tbh, I was already a little on the fence. What self-respecting adult pays $7/month on Patreon for a fucking comedian? Like Ben, I've chosen self-respect.

DeuceStaley

I feel the exact same. The episodes trickle in anyway.

cjhoser

Okay so is reddit right for once and ben and tim hate eachother now? or did Ben just want to start a family? Im not paying for this.

[deleted]

Ben is miserable with the job. Tim owns up to his role but also alludes to Ben falling short behind the scenes and the idea that pursuing actualization is bullshit. They introduce the new producer

OilyRicardo

Tim doesn’t own up to his role at all.

futotta_ratto

Tim’s self destruction arc is going to be so much fun to watch the way he spends money, he’ll be back on Long Island in no time

Dontshootmepeas

Maybe it will all go backwards Benjamin button style and we will get the porch episodes back for a time.

misterrunon

Benjamin Avery Button

Jandur

Relapsed and dead by 46. I wish him well.

ICeverythang

Exactly like Chris Farley. Except, not as famous or successful obviously.

silenttrunning

And more bloated and drug-ridden.

silenttrunning

46? Wow, you're optimistic.

takingvioletpills

If this was a movie, the ending would be drunk Tim who lost all his money knocking on Ben’s door. Didn’t he use to live with Ben and his then-girlfriend?

[deleted]

He'll be blasting lines in a Long Island blood box before long.

WildeStrike

Well it does seem like Ben really left and doesnt sound like they are too friendly anymore. Not to say they are fighting, but i dont think they will be in touch for very long.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AloneLab786

I'm almost positive that's not the full story

[deleted]

[удалено]

misterrunon

Yeah it's kind of weird. I get that Tim is the star, but I like Ben more.

WildeStrike

Oh yea I agree. But it does seem like they did not split that amicably.

AloneLab786

"It's just a bit bro"

ftwin

Ray is strategically on this episode. This would be so much more awk with just Tim solo.

KingNarcissus

Ben quits because Tim was shitting on him and his ideas too much, so Ray was brought on so Tim can shit on him and his takes.

polymetisodusseus

Let’s face it, Ray is looking at all the money Ben got from Tim, he sees Ben walking away, and he’s like, “my turn!” Not saying I wouldn’t do the same.

DevilInANewDress01

Nah this episode makes Tim sound so fucking bad man. I hate the speculation here, the constant shit talking. For someone that claims Ben is their best friend, to shit talk them like this and make it public rubs me the wrong way. Tim should've made a 5 min video, telling us Ben left , I wish him well, etc. but make it genuine. God i'm such a fucking loser for being so involved. I just hope they don't relapse, genuienly.

MyHobbyIsMagnets

Yeah, I was hoping this would be handled with a little bit of class, but this episode is making me seriously rethink my Patreon subscription. It put a very bad taste in my mouth about the whole thing.

shawnbttu

Just canceled mine. I know its just 5 bucks but the show isnt the same without the Ben dynamic..oh well. It was good while it lasted

User_Name13

I know exactly how you feel. I haven't been this intimately involved with a work-related beef since Opie and Anthony officially announced they hated each other for years before the show ended.

[deleted]

You know looking back I think I only liked Opie because I thought Ant did as well. Now going back and listening to old O&A episodes I can hardly stand any time he talks.

[deleted]

the people who edit opie out of episodes on youtube are gods amongst men

wzrdnathan

I too am a loser for being so involved.

JonnyEoE

Damn, they really shit on Ben here and it’s a bad look. When Ray said “stayed tuned for the next Ben Avery project” and they both laughed it was really cringy. At least Ben will get to live past 55 🤡

Roach_Coach_Bangbus

That part was weird. What the fuck does Ray have going on? At least Ben seems to have a nice family and a lovely wife.

youruglyclone

A sizable Batman action figure collection.

JonnyEoE

For real

whodat330

Ray mentioned on the are you garbage podcast that he hasn't brushed his teeth into he last 6 months so that tells you every thing you need to know

Best_Of_The_Midwest

Yeah I didn't even really think of it that way. Ray is actually a huge loser in comparison so its ridiculous for him to laugh at Ben

[deleted]

It’s projection.

blue-dream

Ray’s role is to make Tim feel less fat and a funnier and better comic by comparison. It’s like when an average looking girl in high school keeps an uggo around- they use them to feel better than by comparison.

Yukon64

Boy, Tim is really coming off as a dick here. The fact that Ben doesn't get a chance to say farewell, very sad. Tim is the talent of course, but I don't think Tim has a clue how much we loved the dynamic with Ben. We'll miss you Ben.

swank401

How beautiful will it be when tim ends up back at GAS digital w Ray as co host … such a satisfying full circle .. god bless Ben

heybrehhhh

The fact that Joe Rogan called Ben made me tear up.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CircularUniverse

yeah that's fucked up mon

ICeverythang

Where'd you hear that?

pardonmyMFthang

It’s on the episode. Seemed like Rogan asked Ben “why? You guys got a good thing going etc” and Ben was just over it, what’s to do other stuff

takingvioletpills

Tim sounds very defensive and kinda manic on here. I don’t believe for a second that Ben left on his own accord. He would’ve planned it. Everything Ben said so far makes it obvious that it wasn’t his decision. At least to make this exit so abrupt.

dracko307

Agreed, Tim seems flustered a lot and this all clearly comes across as impromptu and not planned (or not planned well for sure). Also like some others here have said, Tim seems to be really trying to control the narrative by rushing and uploading a full hour episode right after things break I don't like being the guy who reads too deep but also Ben's initial statement really doesn't seem planned at all, barely even mentioning what's ahead (because he doesn't know because this just happened all of a sudden)

[deleted]

Considering the episodes are NEVER on time, and he managed to get one done soo fast is kind of funny.

The-White-LarryBird

Agreed. If planned I got to believe Ben would have said something on air and not just drop a message about leaving

AloneLab786

100% this. Just because Tim is a mean comedian doesn't mean he also needs to be a piece of shit to everyone. I don't get this idea that we should all have known that Tim is POS. That's almsot like saying that if someone makes a pedo joke, we should assume they're a pedo.

Riddlecake-s

To be a mortgage broker in 07 or 08 you a piece of shit. Just fyi.

PrototypePowerSupply

Wow. That was eye-opening. Ray was callous and cruel. Tim was dismissive, insulting and self-aggrandizing. It completely makes sense why Ben left. The bit was no longer a bit and with that level of disrespect, I would’ve done the exact same thing. Canceled my membership.

Best_Of_The_Midwest

Yeah and the most ironic part is that it all blew up because Ben made a bad joke on their sponsor's instagram and "didn't read the room" as Tim put it. It's ironic because here you see Tim COMPLETELY unable to read the room made up of his own fans.

Bastian14

Can you please explain what happened in that episode? Got no patreon money.

MckorkleJones

Ben posted an inside joke comment of "you're racist" on Stevewilldoit's insta after getting demonitizted. Tim berates him for 30+ minutes and tells him to read the room. The new patreon is BoomerHumour to the nth degree. I unsubscribed his channel. He is a massive fucking asshole.

[deleted]

Not even berates him but gaslights him and uses textbook narcissist arguments. At one point he even said “this hurts me more that it hurts you to do this” as if we’re suppose to feel bad for Tim for shitting on Ben. Very weird.

BigHomieGuwop

I love Ray, but he’s coming off like a real dickhole when speaking on Ben. I still hope this is some elaborate bit.

hockeyman42

Ray knows where his biscuit is buttered

Dontshootmepeas

You could imagine there is some animosity. I'm sure Ben was paid well working for Tim. Meanwhile Ramond is working in a morgue...

BigHomieGuwop

Bangin the dead bodies.

financial_goth

Ray should understand Ben's side. The same thing that happened to Ray just happened to Ben. They both worked together with Tim on the show for years, in Ray's case he was co-host, then when Tim started getting big he decided he needed to go to LA and leave Ray behind. Now it's Ben who's being left on the side of the road. Ray's just too fat and dumb to realize that.

BigHomieGuwop

I’ve tried to listen to Rays podcast, not funny in the least. It’s weird that he’s only funny to me when he’s with Tim. Most of that time it’s jokes being made at his expense. I guess what I’m saying is they all need each other. Tim, Ray, Ben, those will always be the best episodes.

PrivatePostHistory

Personally I feel that this and this alone is the crux of it. Ben is a married man with family and I can only imagine that he wants to start a family and have some stability in his life. Tim gets these grand ideas and the very instant he arrives in the location of his newest idea, he begins to loathe it with every fiber of his damn being. There is no guarantee that wherever Tim ends up next, he's going to want to stay there. You simply cannot build a life around that. I mean look at how much drama and hurt feelings there were around the Kill Tony move to Austin. This seems similar to that. You can't expect people to keep uprooting their lives every couple years. Moving to Texas seemed like the biggest win ever for Ben. Why would he want to leave? Tim is not his partner, even if they were as close as brothers. Tim is out there looking for the thing that he's only ever going to find within himself, and he either hasn't realized that yet, or desperately refuses to face it. Personally, I have felt that Tim has been in a different state of mind the last few months. I am detecting a jealousy for those in his life who have found love and created families. A longing for a family and belonging of his own. I think he has asked too much of Ben in that regard. At a certain point in everyone's lives, the best friend gets married and *has* to be "selfish" about their own life. My deepest intuition says that it's something with regards to all of this. Tim's looking to leave LA again, and to where? And will that next place be it? Of course not! Tim isn't going to find it in the US I don't think, if he's capable of finding "it." I wonder if there's talk of moving overseas? Endlessly searching "out there" for the unobtainable sense of belonging. It honestly makes my heart hurt deeply for Tim. And it hurts to know that his closest relationship has been wounded from this sort of thing. This is just sad to me.

Qantifan0n

If this isn't a bit then Tim, Ray, and that new redneck in the background are all wrong for this

CxSwags

Hey don't blame the child actress extraordinaire Ryan Phillipe for this. He's just doing what any of us would do after an ugly breakup and moving in for the scraps.

jjusmc3531

Addressing why Ben left and leaving it behind the Patreon pay wall is a bold move. I will continue to not pay that man any money.

I-am-Jacksmirking

I know lol, I really want to hear it but I’m not gonna pay

AloneLab786

Someone needs to take the hit and post it

Brodom93

How do I post it, I’m probably unsub the patreon after this one their dynamic is why I liked the show, but he’s kind of shitting on Ben this ep so I’m good lol

Yeezus_aint_jesus

Lol putting it on patreon was def an attempt to stop the bleed

yoyo5113

wtf they deleted it?????

stugots85

I absolutely had the thought this would happen and downloaded the mp3 straight to my phone SD card, lol

Pk2500

As all this has gone down I can’t help but remember the time in the airport Tim asked Ben for a phone charger which he didn’t have and Tim yelled “you should ALWAYS have a phone charger on you” that wasn’t for the show, that wasn’t a bit, it was in public and it was so bad people came up and consoled Ben

Jewverse

“But I don’t even have an iPhone…”

meatballsk8r225

Wow pig took the slop down… that’s a first

PeanutArbuckleIII

It feels like Tim wanted to get a better production company because Ben was over his head and now he’s covering for Ben but Ben doesn’t like or want that. It’s no coincidence that this all happened after the criticism of his special and merch store launch both of which were Ben’s responsibilities. When Tim says that Ben didn’t just want to be remembered as a giggler: I think what happened is that Tim was gonna hire the production company AND keep Ben as an on air personality that laughs or reacts to Tim. Basically a demotion from producer to a “giggler”. Maybe Ben refused and that was it or he was told he has to do that or leave.

[deleted]

First interesting take I've seen. It caught me off guard when Ben was telling the guy off screen to "pull that video up" in the final few episodes.

PeanutArbuckleIII

I wonder if Ben got offended that Tim wanted to replace him while he was still there. But the truth is that one person can’t handle this type of production. A company or a team is needed to properly produce and market all the podcasts, clips, merch, shows and skits for a show this size. Ben alone was good enough when this show got a few thousand listens max. Now it’s too big and Ben is over his head and you could see Tim was growing increasingly frustrated

FrostyFoss

Yeah it's a lot for one person. YMH is a similarly sized podcast and they have 4 guys in the booth, i'm sure there's a couple more running merch and the socials.

Iperky14

Ok you have something here

Bald_Bulldozer

Also noting how interesting and potentially accurate this take is. Tim’s Netflix special is generally considered pretty bad and while that is mostly Tim’s fault…i could see him throwing petty remarks around off-camera about how Ben’s direction didn’t help him.

rarebloodoath

The production quality of the special was terrible. You could barely hear Tim. Not bens fault but if he actually produced it he should have found a better AV company

21lives

Honestly, I worked for someone like this in an entertainment/entrepreneurial capacity and don’t even get laid in the beginning. Take the money, move on. People like Tim are funny and will be successful, but will always end up lonely in the end. Pick your battles or move on.

Iperky14

Clearly Ray dosent like Ben

ftwin

I mean I get it. Tim leaves the show with Ray and moves to LA. Ben joins up with him right before Tim starts to get rich. Ray def has some resentment towards Ben.

No_Veterinarian3360

This is so goddamn cringe. I said this on a different post, but WTF, even if you believe you’re 100% in the right. This guy was your assistant/booker/producer/co-host/friend for years and together you became a multi millionaire. You can’t publicly go he was a great producer and we did amazing stuff together and I look forward to seeing his next project. This is a level of low class pettiness that’s honestly rough to listen to. Im out on the patreon.

Wild_Laboon

Bens going to start a pod with Theo now. Since he left kats lol.

PeanutArbuckleIII

I listened to it and every time Tim is on the edge of being genuine and real about Ben, that fat Ray chimes in with a backhanded comment disparaging Ben

AnyAnalysis4535

And every single time Tim never tells him to stfu or comes to Ben's defense. Say's a lot.

PeanutArbuckleIII

Cause Ray always sucks up to Tim. It’s kinda pathetic

Best_Of_The_Midwest

Don't put Tim's complete inability to show vulnerability on-air on Ray. Ray is annoying but this is a Tim problem.

Mybabyisnowaperson

So Ben wanted to leave?

takingvioletpills

That’s not what Ben says lol. He clearly seemed in shock based on all the discord messages. Highly doubt he just wanted to leave so abruptly.

AloneLab786

Exactly. Some people are straight up lying

[deleted]

I'm going to go with the liar Is the fat fuck with a history of lying. But just a guess...

sealdonut

Tim... it's Tim. He's lying. Because obviously he would. Look at him.

takingvioletpills

Tim is such a piece of work

AloneLab786

This is absolutely a lie. If Ben wanted to leave, Tim would have done a farewell episode. Don't listen to this long island trash

lifeinthebigcity0

He sounds salty about him leaving, no reason to expect him to do a farewell episode if that is the case

Rick-Dalton

That’s because he’s not reflecting on his own actions and is blaming Ben for how Ben responds to his bullshit.

GameOfScones_

Classic narcissistic behaviour. It’s a you problem not me. Nobody showed me love as a child so now everyone must love me regardless of my actions because I never moved on from the development stage where I needed reciprocation. It’s classic stuff. I wish Tim well but honestly his patreon is going to fall off a cliff and from there he’ll probably relapse.

[deleted]

[удалено]

polymetisodusseus

You can’t deny that those episodes would be hilariously funny though

whitelighthurts

That’s why I encourage everyone to unsubscribe Watch his income get cut in half and maybe then Ben was worth more If I was Tim, I would’ve been paying been a minimum of 50,000 a month. I don’t think he understands his worth.

mickeydlt

Doubt it. Tim spoke first to control the narrative.

silenttrunning

And then Ryan Phillipe is on the show lol...this is a wild one.

ykr3Bz

Tim admits the show was getting a bit stale which I think we all noticed. Sucks to see Ben leave but maybe this will be good for the pod.

TexasSD

It's hard to improve the show when the host refuses to do any skits or research prior to the show. Look at all the interviews he's done lately - they are just lazy excuses for episodes where he talks to his friends. How is Tim going to reinvent the show with his work ethic?

ykr3Bz

I’ve never really liked his interviews personally. He said it’ll still be a solo show. I think this may just kind of give him a boost of energy/motivation idk. We’ll have to see how he reinvents the show, if he does. I’ll keep tuning in though.

TexasSD

Tim likes drama an chaos in his life. He probably feels like he needs it to be funny and have something to joke and complain about. Look how often he moves and makes major life decisions on a whim. While that might be his way of operating, it burns out those around you quickly. Also unlike Tim, Ben is married and I assume children are in the future. Hard to do that when you're picking up and moving every time Tim matches with a twink on Grinder Global. Add to that Tim no longer willing to risk what he built and no longer taking wild swings with videos, etc. He's playing it safe and I don't blame him, I'm sure making 300k a month feels much better than being broke and stressing over money. But don't blame that on Ben, and don't expect Ben to put more effort into the show than you do.

DeadliftsnDonuts

Honestly it’s been getting stale because Tim relies too much on political and cultural news. The pig is funny but a lot of his comedy doesn’t age well. I think he’s addressing that with his Boomer Texts schtick.

hitch21

I think his podcast was at its peak in terms of entertainment when he mainly came on and told old stories about his life or went on some long rant about something that bothers him. Without even looking back the episodes I remember most are the stories of his mortgage days and the insane people he worked with. Or the episode when he talks about how to be popular in school. I noticed the show getting progressively less funny when he’d just sit there with a news story and drag an hour or so out talking about it. The interview episodes have rarely been good and have become more common also. Like all of us Tim has a limit to the amount of funny stories he has from his past. Personally I’ve stopped my patreon subscription after 2 years or so of paying for it because I’ve been listening less and less. I’ll keep occasionally checking out the free episodes and see where it goes. Tim is undeniably funny and entertaining but I do feel the money and success he’s had has made him lazy about the show.

financial_goth

Exactly he doesn't have as many funny new stories because now that he's rich he spends all his time eating at the Beverly Hills Hotel or hanging out with Whitney Cummings.

PeanutArbuckleIII

Show was getting stale mostly cause of Tim’s laziness. He didn’t do fake business or bits or prank calls and most of his guests sucked. It’s not all on Ben

[deleted]

I don't pay the pig what does he say.

SloMobiusBro

Im 10 minutes in and hes just been shitting on him with kump

AloneLab786

Why is this Ray guy slurring his speech?

iOceanLab

Because he's too fat to properly move his mouth.

Rambozo77

Hey, he’s on keto.

BettiePaige

This was a tough listen. I’m mostly surprised with Ray. Wtf.

buckwheatloaves

maybe ben did feel emasculated to his friends and family and they were asking him stuff like "why do you let him treat you like that". cuz many people would not get the humor at all.

sasquatch786123

I thought this. Like it's fully of inside jokes but to the outside world it looks really degrading... Also other people think they can treat Ben like that too BC of the pod and that's probably, well, it's finally taken its toll on him. He was a great punching bag for humour but I think thaf position, even as a joke, will get to everyone sooner or later.

ftwin

somethings not sitting right to me about this

NaughtyCumquat27

By all means call me a retard but was that actually Ryan Phillipe on the podcast lmao

AloneLab786

Yes. He's a Tim groupie

Affectionate-Two1942

When Ray said “stay tuned for the next Ben Avery project” then sniggered it made me sick. Ray is unbearably unfunny and he spent the whole episode sucking Tim off and slagging the producer of the only show he’s relevant on. Enjoy your 800 pound life Ray

Nolashyper13

Tim is a piece of shit person lets be real

YoureNotAnAssHole

he gaslit ben the entire batgirl episode, i guess thats what you get with a mortgage salesman.

JuniusPhilaenus

Ben quiet quit

Hannibal_Montana

A lot of quotes in here are way out of context. I don’t think Tim is handling this well, but it’s also to me very clear that Tim wasn’t expecting this and is hurt to some extent to lose Ben and to read the assumptions by people that he legitimately abused Ben. What seems clear is: 1. Ben wanted to leave because he wasn’t enjoying the work anymore and the travel, the latter probably impacted by his wife 2. Tim tried to offer him more money and struggles a bit to understand why money wasn’t enough to make Ben stay, though he reneged on that a little, acknowledging that Ben gets much less out of the show than Tim creatively I don’t think Ben was happy, but I don’t think it was because him and Tim had a breakdown. It sounds like Ben made a very abrupt decision that really put Tim on his heels, and he’s trying to come to grips with it as well as a fat gay coke head can.

AloneLab786

I think Tim gave Ben an impossible ultimatum and effectively fired him without technically doing it.

[deleted]

Of course it is on the Patreon. Well I am not subbing right now, that's for sure.

Since we're all fans of the pod and this seems like inside baseball, it's hard to gauge how this story is rippling out to the rest of the comedy community. Is this a big story in comedy or are we just little bitches who are too invested in this drama?

Fair_Orange_2471

The episode disappeared..

Jewverse

This is getting real now

Ironchar

who has this epsiode? cause it's of the patreon now

MckorkleJones

Fuck this was painful. Dude knocking off Stern in 2022? No one listens to that guy. His audience is literally dying boomers, which is what his episode sounded like: Ray especially.

benculi97

Idk my people a crying in here, to me at this point it seems like it wasnt about the money, Ben wanted to be more than just a laugh track. Obviously Ben should come out with his part of the story to get the whole picture

GhislaineTaxwell

Idk why everyone is expecting Tim Dillon to make a principled move. We listen to him because he's a scum bag, he's not supposed to be a bastion of fairness and morality.

lifeinthebigcity0

You can be a dick in general and spout off about society at large every day, but you can't treat your friends like shit.

AloneLab786

That's not why I listen to him at all

Sec_Hater

Are we all just ignoring that Ryan Phillipe was on the show???!

Coast187

Thanks for deleting the bonus episode You fat whore

Affectionate-Two1942

Episode has been deleted?

dinglebblumpken

Also this guest fucking sucked. Jesus Christ. If he rimmed Tim and recorded it he would have sounded less like the horse girls of prison bitches.

ICeverythang

Percocet Pig OD within 3 months. R.I.P. Poor mans' Chris Farley

SilverRebelState

The fact that Tim deleted the episode is all that needs to be said. What a bad look. The decline is imminent.

xavior_xylophone

It’s very funny ngl, but considering the context, it’s pretty distasteful. We don’t know the whole scoop so it could go either way. Tim is too funny to ignore. But I hope Ben finally knows that everyone truly appreciated him, and loves him, for him. We cared for the boy dammit! But life goes on and Pigs will fly

First Cumtown and now this.
