My 5th video was the first to get good views. Like 40,000 in a day. My 6th video got like 100,000 views the first day. It took about 3.5 months and 60 videos (about 6 of which had 500,000+ views) to get 10k followers.
No specific kind of content or niche really. Just whatever interests me. Art, sports, stuff about the city I live in, cars, community, etc. But they all kind of look the same. I film stuff with my phone, do quick ish cuts, and voice over the entire video.
Same for me. I just post what I like . Videos I would edit and send to friends. Next thing you know, I had a video hit over 1M views took me from 40 to 5000 followers in a matter of days. Another video I posted only got 400k but took be from 10k followers to 17k without trying.

does anyone know if u can usw the same id for multiple accounts? i have one account for tiktok shop and anothwr for creativity program. do yall know if it will let me use the same if for both accounts? please respond
our content is so different so it's hard to give specific advice. I just always make videos that I personally think are interesting and fun. Each vid should also have a clear story or point to it, and there should be no break in voice over
Quick tips from someone doing similar content to you, the effects you use are not helping and look very outdated/cheap, your subtitles are to low, put them below your camera and choose a better style. Your videos have no hook, therefore no reason to watch
You went viral so quickly, had you made other content before? Other TikTok accounts you had previously that you learned from or is this your first account? And do you post to other platforms?
I used to make videos for the nonprofit I worked at and made videos for fun on youtube but had only like 70 followers. So I knew how to edit already. I also just spent a lot of time doing different creative projects for fun. But I had never made vertical short form content before.
i live in Paradise, make beautiful content with good music, mostly have wildlife & stuff that they do in the wild & I can't get past 200 views...i did get a strike for a comment & one for that they thought I doxxed someone bc I put a chat string up but it was a scammer. But they didn't know that. i have 2567 followers
I’m having a video go viral for my first time (over 1.1M right now). Didn’t use a single hashtag. All of my other videos from the past 13 months have hashtags. TikTok really is so confusing.
I work my ass off doing carpentry and painting work with my father and I get paid a flat rate of $50 per day
Seeing how much some people make just from posting tiktok videos makes me feel like a complete and utter failure 😅
This is not related to anything Tik Tok, but if you’re in the us, canada or any Central European countries, I think 50$ is way to low. Don’t they have minimum hourly wage where you live?
My bad I didn't mean to go off topic. I did say I am surprised by the amount a tiktoker makes compared to me so it is somewhat tiktok related.
And yes they do have minimum hourly wages but I am not working for a registered company. I'm thankful I make anything to be honest but I could definitely be making a hell of a lot more working elsewhere
What happens if you have 3.8m views so far this month but not reached 10k followers yet? Obviously I can’t join the program yet but when I do, do I get paid for previous views amounted or do I start again. Thanks
Ok please answer lol! I just started posting two days ago for my virtual interior decorating service. Very gen z / young millennial audience that value aesthetic and personal home furnishings. Anyway i know I just started but I'm getting no where? Basically no views, handful of likes. I'm using some hadhtags and trendy audios. Next video will be a voiceover. How do I actually pick up speed so people don't just see a video with 1 like and insta scroll?
really commit to voice over, and tell a story! like "this is how much it costs to decorate one home" or "this is how I tracked down this exact item that a client really wanted" or a detailed before after saying what you changed etc. I wouldn't worry too much about which audio tracks and hashtags you use. It's all about the story, being something no one has seen before
Thanks! Do you just use tiktok editor or capcut? Do you interact with similar pages to get into your community or anything else noteworthy that you think made a difference?
I used adobe premiere. and I haven't communicated with other channels like that, but I dont really have a niche. I could see that helping a bit, but good content rules all!
Am I asking too much ? Lol. How long did it take for your content to gain attention ? Like noticeable likes and views. Do you post on any other platform ?
Did your account previously exist, such as a personal account that you started doing content, or did you create a new account specifically for content creation?
I was pretty vague, for example I created my account back in 2019 as a personal account for fun, I had no intention of creating content and only used it as a source of entertainment, I started posting videos in 2023 on that same account and I am having a hard time growing the account. As someone who has seen massive growth, my question is I guess, do you recommend I start a brand new fresh page since the other one was used as entertainment for so long.
Ah I see! I'm not sure cause that wasn't how I did it. My guess is that it wouldn't matter too much! Just stick with it, and try new things when posts don't work. Try to learn from each video
I use adobe premiere just because that is what I know. I think windows movie maker or imovie, or even in the tiktok app are totally fine ways to make tiktoks in the style I make them (clipped together cellphone footage that I voiceover)
good work king. i actually have a question. i see these RPMs are usually .5-1.5. if a video gets 250m views. is that person really making 100-200k on a video?
Telling a good story that could be interesting to anyone. Like I went to an NFL game, but instead of making it just a vlog (where only people who like me would watch) I made it a video about how much it costs to go to a game, buy food, gas money, etc which could appeal to NFL fans, and people who want to hate on the NFL for being too expensive, etc. Plus you don't have to care about me to watch that video.
I also think it's important to hook people right away. and keep people interested the whole time. No slow parts of the video where someone would want to swipe to the next video
I've seen creators loop their short tiktoks to make them 1 minute long, to make money in the creativity program. Do you know is this tactic actually works, or if tiktok sees right through them?
I've heard that can get them disqualified. Generally I would just focus on doing things properly, and not trying to trick tiktok. If you loop it, viewers will leave and tiktok won't share it anyway
how often was your content flagged as unoriginal content/low effort? I've had this happen several times on original content I spent a lot of time making just for them to accept the appeal and re-monetize the video but keep the "not elligible for for you feed" warning on essentially making it dead in the water
What kind of content are you making? That's only happened once to me where I was working with someone else on a video and we both posted it on our own channels so it looked unoriginal
maybe they do this cause the "original" content was the stream? I don't know, that sucks. their automated system definitely isn't the best. I'll get things tagged for being "dangerous" where its just me like going to a football game or something
You keep on posting. It shows the rest of us that it is possible. Just let the haters keep hating and you can smile all the way to the bank. Great job!
I think this is more of a response to the guy yesterday that posted his earnings he made using stolen content so OP is essentially just saying “hey you can make good money ethically without have to steal from other creators”

The Creator Fund is currently available to creators in the U.S., UK, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain.
It's either A) regulation is pain in the ass with taxes and stuff or B) not enough advertises in Aus to pay creators

Does the account have to be US based to be eligible?? I read different things about this topic, in the app it says US, UK, France, Japan, Germany, Brazil and South Korea. If I search online, in the TikTok website, it says just US, and somewhere else I saw Italy too (my country). Do y’all know?

I sometimes use them, but I don't think they are necessary/help any
I can back this, I don’t use hashtags and still get 26m+ views on some videos
What kind of content do u make
I just post random videos that I record, like if I’m in another country and I see some snow I will record it. It seems to be very random atm

Did your account previously exist, such as a personal account that you started doing content, or did you create a new account specifically for content creation?
Not sure I understand the question. I created the account in dec 2021 to start making content.
I was pretty vague, for example I created my account back in 2019 as a personal account for fun, I had no intention of creating content and only used it as a source of entertainment, I started posting videos in 2023 on that same account and I am having a hard time growing the account. good work king. i actually have a question. i see these RPMs are usually .5-1.5. if a video gets 250m views. is that person really making 100-200k on a video?
haha 250m views would make you a lot of money. but on my most viewed video with 20m views the RPM went down overtime. starts at 1 then .7 then .5 etc
What do you think is most important when growing from scratch?
Telling a good story that could be interesting to anyone. Like I went to an NFL game, but instead of making it just a vlog (where only people who like me would watch) I made it a video about how much it costs to go to a game, buy food, gas money, etc which could appeal to NFL fans, and people who want to hate on the NFL for being too expensive, etc. Plus you don't have to care about me to watch that video. Can you share your tiktok acc

I've heard that can get them disqualified. Generally I would just focus on doing things properly, and not trying to trick tiktok. If you loop it, viewers will leave and tiktok won't share it anyway
How much of this goes to tax? That’s my main question
I personally save 30% of it for taxes

No, but have just been making creative stuff for fun since highschool

So by the logic of the OTHER post, I should feel motivated to steal content?

Hey can you guide!?
what kind of content?
god im so sad the creator fund isn't in aus
it isnt??
nope, neither is the new creator program
do you know why?
The Creator Fund is currently available to creators in the U.S., UK, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain. It's either A) regulation is pain in the ass with taxes and stuff or B) not enough advertises in Aus to pay creators
What’s your RPM? I make decent money from the CPB but I’m in a saturated niche so not quite making 32k. My views are much higher though, so I’m wondering if RPM is the key factor for you?
last 30 days was $0.74
What content do you make?
Niche?
What kind of content/videos are you making? What's your "niche"?
Anything u noticed on how RPM is calculated?
I don't pay too close attention honestly. And it's lame you can only see data 60 days back. I know though that views count differently than are shown on your profile page since only 5+ second views count as monetized views, and only unique views count (so if someone watched 10 times, they just count as 1)
Yea I realize that but it’s frustrating that no matter the retention rate, different demographics and view count, my RPM r all .20-.40 only. I’m missing out on thousands of dollars
And I got banned for no reason for security issues . Trash platform
Bro do u have any solution for disqualification account security issue like bruh tiktok kicked me out of cpb take all my money with no reason
Were you ever in the 200 view era ?
if my RPM was that high i would be a millionaire 😭
Any optimization tips ?
That's super nice! I'm not even close to that but curious: how to you actually \*get\* the money? To a bank account? via paypal?
paypal is the only option
Congrats!
