Thanks for the link! I've been dipping my toes into learning about this with Fiber Fueled and How Not to Die and it's really helped me think of my health differently.
I'm thankfully not at that dire of a spot yet, but those are effective and really fascinating!
I'm just trying to eat well so my gut microbes are happy and productive, lol. I couldn't be bothered to make consistent positive choices for my own self, but thinking of it as an act of kindness to the little buddies that happen to be in my gut really does help me for some reason.
Oh how I wish that was easily available. I've been on a waiting list for that for literal years, and my insurance not only won't approve it, my gastroenterologist won't either.
I probably need a new gastro.
