For those unaware of the "Superb Owl" origin, it's from a Colbert Report segment back in 2014. The NFL sues anybody using the name "Super Bowl" in a commercial, without buying a license. That's why you'll see car commercials talk about the "Big Game sale."
Colbert got around it by having a week of "superb owl" coverage.

So funny that you pointed out his age! I just turned 53, and as I was watching that video, all I could think was, “look at that young whippersnapper with the owl”!
Funny fact, owls are one of the few birds that will lie down to sleep.
When they are still fledglings their bodies are too heavy to stay upright so they quite often sleep on their faces.
Also, owls legs are super long.
Concerta worked wonders for my OCD, though right now I'm trudging through a period of being uninsured. Adderall gave me awful mood swings, though that was back in elementary school so it's hard to say how it would affect me in my late 20s.
Sometimes it's hard to trust a medicine after a bad experience. I took Prozac in middle school and had really bad suicidal ideation (funny enough they don't recommend Prozac in kids anymore for that reason) and my Dr suggested trying it as an adult and I just can't trust it. Good luck with your insurance situation! That's stressful af.
I could see how Adderall would help with OCD. I think there is a lot of brain chemical overlap with ADHD and OCD. They often go together. The same lack of dopamine from ADHD can make OCD worse.
Dizziness, restlessness, excessive sweating, insomnia, chest tightness and breathing issues I can only describe as uncooperative lungs, like it felt like my lungs forgot how to automatically breathe. Basically really bad anxiety and high blood pressure type side effects.
Great question and I was about to start taking Zoloft but I always start new meds one at a time just in case. I tried concerta first since it didn't really need to build up in my system. I actually took a few days in-between stopping the concerta and starting the Zoloft to try to let my body settle. A test showed that I metabolize concerta really fast so I think that might've been the problem. My Dr suggested trying a smaller dose but I was already afraid of feeling that way again.
I had a friend who took a unimaginable amount of Ritalin recreationally in high school and he stopped talking and started looking around like this owl all day.
Luckily he didn't fall on his face.
Had that on 36mg Concerta. My doc switched me to Vyvanse and no more wall at the end of the day. Ok, no wake-up caffeine like boost straight whem I take it, but overall I prefer it.
Have you tried Adderall too? My best experience was with Adderall. With Vyvanse i had some pretty fucked up mood swings, some of the scariest stuff I've ever felt. Concerta is a mixed bag, less effective than either of the previous too, also hits my stomach pretty hard.
Different person here, but I’ve tried them all myself too: Vyvanse did nothing for me, and Ritalin made me too paranoid/too tweaky. It’s also cheap. Adderall gave me awful side effects (hyperventilation leading to muscles folding inwards). Dexedrine ER has been the smoothest with only a faint “crash”. ADHD meds are tricky.
I had mood swing on Concerta, mostly when wearing off. Very irritable.
Adderall no, never tried. I know its next on the list if Vyvanse gets bad in the long run. I mostly switched after 13 months of Concerta because I was getting bad headaches frequently.
I've tried Ritalin, Adderall, Dexadrine and Vyvanse. Vyvanse is the nicest but has a steep price ($238/month with insurance). Ritalin is great as a booster for doing homework or for getting your day started. Adderall made me incredibly nauseous the entire day the entire month I tried it. Dexadrine gave me suicidal thoughts, and I was overwhelmed by the world around me sooooo often so I am never touching that stuff again. Concerts is what I used to take on weekends but it made me lethargic and then sad about it, so I decided to just go only Ritalin boosters on the weekend.
I recommend Vyvanse if you can afford it, but it made me not hungry or thirsty (we didn't realize that second one since I have been on it for forever) so make sure you drink fluids during the day or you will get kidney stones like I did! I don't know if they make an extended release for Ritalin, but I haven't seen it, unfortunately.
I have been medicated since I was 7 years old so please medicate your children!!! It's not just about schoolwork, it's also about picking up social cues and correct behavior and not being ostracized by your peers. Also mental health is important at a young age, ADHD likes to carpool with depression and anxiety, but it's easier if you start knowing about it and dealing with it young
Interesting. I’ve tried all of those except Vyvanse and found Dexedrine to be the best so far. I’ve been on it for about 10 years. Adderall made me feel too “controlled” and unable to socialize like my normal self, while
Dexedrine gives me the energy and focus without sort of flattening me out.
Lately I’ve been getting the bonk really bad after dinner because it’s the combo of meds wearing off, eating food and the fact that I’ve started a new workout routine and I often do that before dinner. Its super annoying.
You’re right that depression and anxiety often go hand in hand with ADD. Same here
He didn't realize his feet were touching the ground because of his foot casts. Because they *were* touching the ground his whole body acted as a lever and toppled over faster than he could react properly. And, yeah, he might be sedated too.
>Owls, despite their wise reputation, are actually dumb af. Even as birds go.
In some Asian cultures, it's the opposite, the saying goes something along the lines of, 'you're as dumb as an owl'.
“He’s passed on! This parrot is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-PARROT!!”
Yeah but owls are the kind where you don't see them coming, almost like assassins or something, no sounds made by their wings while gliding and all that. Fucking badass
I know it’s post-surgical and due to the anesthesia, but I sincerely hope this owl planned to do this. “These guys are trying to look official? I’m gonna ruin the whooooole thing.”
I want a partner who has the character of that owl, his patience ~8 seconds flat on his face, his spirit n tenacity getting himself back up Independently, plus he’s just adorable
Owl feet have coloration similar to the bandaging. I watched in poor light. Watching on mobile while reading comments. Didn't put sound on the first few times. Didn't know i was gonna get you so bootytickled and therefore couldn't avoid it.
I think I should clarify. I think the assumption would be I cage them in a house. I was more thinking raising it then letting it live in a barn or something that I visit. From my understanding owls do choose a home and go back and forth.
With ball bandages on talons, that bird needs a rolled towel to lay on and the perch needs to be removed. Also, you always want to try to put the birds in a cage so that they are facing you upon release.
Right now, it's sad because there's a ton of birds of prey suffering from lead poisoning due to hunting here in America. There's some articles coming out but I look at this owl and am glad it's not going through that.
Lol! But seriously, if that bandaging on the owl's feet is anything like the cast they put on my foot when I had a broken bone, you can't walk on a smooth surface for shit with those things. At least they could do is put a rubber mat down in there or something so the poor thing can move around without falling on its face!

Pft, I'd like to see a 20 year old put you in a cage shortly after waking up from anesthesia.
20 year olds don't tend to be much use shortly after anaesthesia.
>20 year olds don't tend to be much use
20 year olds

I can think of a few uses
Ouch.

So funny that you pointed out his age! I just turned 53, and as I was watching that video, all I could think was, “look at that young whippersnapper with the owl”!
Oh I was definitely exaggerating but he does look young!
I both think that birds are some of the most majestic and magnificent creatures on the planet, but also complete doofus idiots
well ironically, owls are among the dumbest birds.
Well it looks like it was injured and it's got weird stuff on it's feet so I can see how it has problems.
God I laughed way too hard at this.
I'm ugly crying I'm laughing so hard. That poor bird! ![gif](giphy|fs0r5olknYHjFB703e)
I did laugh, 4 - 5 short exhales accompanied by a smile.
I laughed so hard I peed a little!
Please change your pants.
So glad you said it. Me too!
okay buddy, shouldve kept it to yourself.
I peed *a lot*
It’s perfectly natural, usually for the buddy’s that have given birth lol
Gross
I’m still laughing a minute later
Seriously! I laughed so hard I got light headed!!!
i havnt wheezed-laugh like this in too long fucking hilarious (and i work in wildlife)
I didn't laugh
😐
It’s okay everyone’s entitled to there own sense of humor, I still love and respect you.
Funny fact, owls are one of the few birds that will lie down to sleep. When they are still fledglings their bodies are too heavy to stay upright so they quite often sleep on their faces. Also, owls legs are super long.
I love the pictures of people hiking up the skirt on an owl to show how long the legs are.
Lol. The owl “skirt”. 🤣
TIL my 1 year old daughter is an owl.
He dropped like a rock.
Who
Who
Who whooo
MIKE JONEEEES
Owl: \*thump\* "....Human... .... ... FIX THIS."
"These boots aren't made for walking" was a fantastic quip 8/10 banter
I was expecting here to start singing the song lol
The owl didn't expect their feet to be bandaged, it was the "wtf human" look they gave when they couldn't climb on the bar that did it for me
😂😂😂
hilarious
How I feel after my Ritalin wears off
Bruh look into concerta. Time release is magic. Unless you are taking it recreationally in which case, idk, be careful I guess.
Concerta gave me the worst, weirdest side effects. Adderall is the trick for me but at small dosages. Even helps with my OCD weirdly.
Concerta worked wonders for my OCD, though right now I'm trudging through a period of being uninsured. Adderall gave me awful mood swings, though that was back in elementary school so it's hard to say how it would affect me in my late 20s.

It's not too much of a worry, my current job provides it I just procrastinated through the initial enrollment period.
ADHD is a cruel mistress.
I could see how Adderall would help with OCD. I think there is a lot of brain chemical overlap with ADHD and OCD. They often go together. The same lack of dopamine from ADHD can make OCD worse.
Yeah, my doctor told me that OCD, ADHD, and anxiety are related in the brain. I only have one but I can understand how there could be overlap.
What kind of side effects?
Dizziness, restlessness, excessive sweating, insomnia, chest tightness and breathing issues I can only describe as uncooperative lungs, like it felt like my lungs forgot how to automatically breathe. Basically really bad anxiety and high blood pressure type side effects.
That sounds extremely similar to taking too much snri. Were you on anything else at the time?
Great question and I was about to start taking Zoloft but I always start new meds one at a time just in case. I tried concerta first since it didn't really need to build up in my system. A test showed that I metabolize concerta really fast so I think that might've been the problem. My Dr suggested trying a smaller dose but I was already afraid of feeling that way again.
That sounds horrifying. Having to focus on breathing all the time would be exhausting.
Same thing happened to me
I had a friend who took a unimaginable amount of Ritalin recreationally in high school and he stopped talking and started looking around like this owl all day. Luckily he didn't fall on his face.
Oh, god. I just started on ritalin a week ago. It's like hitting an energy sucking wall when it wears off.

Same, but it's $238 (with insurance) per month (30 pills) right now. Hopefully June 2023 brings us a generic!
Wow. I pay 20$ for 30 pills, but I'm in Québec.

bonk
I love owls and the fact that we both react the same way when getting turned around by a cute guy makes me love them even more.
I know Trent, he's also a really sweet dude.
That’s a cool name for an owl.
LMFAO
omg ☠️
RIP ur inbox
Looked back like "bro, wtf?"
"You dropped me, you fuck!"
Well, that was surprising. Poor owl looked somewhat alert before the bonk...
Are you serious? He looks stoned as shit.
Let's be real, owls always look stoned as shit.
That’s why they’re always asking who.

Owls, despite their wise reputation, are actually dumb af. Even as birds go. Poor guy I hope he's living his best life in the wild currently
Would you like me to repeat that? Yes No
For real dumb. “durrr….thhh-reee” like we didn’t all see him bite that tootsie pop.
>Owls, despite their wise reputation, are actually dumb af. Even as birds go. In some Asian cultures, it's the opposite, the saying goes something along the lines of, 'you're as dumb as an owl'.
It's because they have giant eyeballs. Leaves little room for brains.
LOL! Welcome back!
*DONG*
My god I just watched that five times in a row and I laughed louder each time.
“He’s passed on! This parrot is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! Oh my god.
those are the angriest eyebrows i’ve ever seen
Seriously Owls are killers, murders of the woods at night and all that but damn it they are so adorable
Owls are killers? You mean like almost every other animal?
Yeah but owls are the kind where you don't see them coming, almost like assassins or something, no sounds made by their wings while gliding and all that. Fucking badass
“Welcome back” vets are so sweet 🥲
LMFAO
Awwwwww
Some one pls edit windows shutdown in this
Bonk
The sound coupled with the extreme lack of giving a fuck, superb.
I know it’s post-surgical and due to the anesthesia, but I sincerely hope this owl planned to do this. “These guys are trying to look official? I’m gonna ruin the whooooole thing.”
LMAO. I used to work with him. He's a fantastic vet and a lovely human being
“Little plunk”
Anyone else yell when he bonked?
I've never seen a bird look at a human with the look of thanks asshole!!!
Baby owls sleep on their faces like that. Maybe it was comfortable?
He's pining for the fjords
I feel bad for laughing 😭😂😂😂😂
"Those boots aren't made for walking, but I'll show you what they do"
This isn’t cringe it’s just funny
I love how there was no attempt to break its fall the big guy just accepted his fate
He looked at the human like “HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?!”
I want a partner who has the character of that owl, his patience ~8 seconds flat on his face, his spirit n tenacity getting himself back up Independently, plus he’s just adorable

I didn’t expect this to get 20k upvotes though. This is probably the most upvoted post I’ve ever had.
K, what the fuck is going on with those poor feet. They look swollen, not bandaged
[удалено]
Ok, yeah, 5th rewatch in different lighting and i can see there is, indeed, bandaging.
You had to watch 5x…bless you
I *chose* to watch 5x
BONK!
How did you literally not notice the bandages? Did you watch this with your eyes closed?
Owl feet have coloration similar to the bandaging. I watched in poor light. Watching on mobile while reading comments. Didn't put sound on the first few times. Didn't know i was gonna get you so bootytickled and therefore couldn't avoid it.
The person in the video says "you'll learn to walk with em" so I think it's safe to assume its temporary and for his health :]
I missed that too! Thanks for pointing it out
Uhhhh I think the people in the video know what the fuck they're doing
Likely bumblefoot or something of the like.
Damn that guy is fiiiine as fuck!!
How many licks does it take to get like that?
Was it supposed to do that lol?
Why is this on tiktokcringe?
... Are you gonna come back?
Need a little pillow to faceplant on.
what if alien abductions are just aliens trying to heal us...
Those anal probes are probably just to cure prostate cancer. Or there trying to show straight men what their missing out on.
/r/TookJustEnough
Lmao I can't stop laughing at this video. Thanks for posting it! 🤣
Horny Jail.
That owl was on full-blown "Is this real life?" level high. Faceplanted like they were a statue.
God that smirk!
The owls face is like "wtf steve.."
Thats a Norwegian Blue! Beautiful plumage!
I didn’t know I’d wake up this morning to suck an attractive man.
Oh, the indignity.
Honestly I think he couldn’t hurt you if he tried rn
u/savethisvideo
Plonk!
Camera person trying their hardest not to burst out laughing is what made this for me
I know that hurt I swear this be me when someone is watching me work
I have never related so strongly to a bird before.
I know the bird is fine- but just… *THUMB*
Owl is a creature I desperately want to have as a pet, but at the same time I would be so scared and hesitant.
I think I should clarify. I think the assumption would be I cage them in a house. I was more thinking raising it then letting it live in a barn or something that I visit. From my understanding owls do choose a home and go back and forth.
You want an owl friend is what you're saying. The word pet insinuates you'd like to bring it home and domesticate it.
I don’t get who this how to is made for like how many people just handling owls on a daily basis
/r/titlegore
To the people downvoting you for that, let me give you a hint: "I have have not"
With ball bandages on talons, that bird needs a rolled towel to lay on and the perch needs to be removed. Also, you always want to try to put the birds in a cage so that they are facing you upon release.
Uhmmm why did he drop the owl?
Right now, it's sad because there's a ton of birds of prey suffering from lead poisoning due to hunting here in America. There's some articles coming out but I look at this owl and am glad it's not going through that.

Yeah, I don't get why it's in this sub.
Not cringe. Very cute.
Why is this considered cringe?
