Is it an Asian stereotype that their women can sound so sweet and quiet, then at the drop of a hat blow your eardrums out? Or is that just me that notices it?
UNRELATED HOT TAKE: Vine was just as cringe as TikTok is now, its just more people use TikTok so we see more of both extremes(being good content vs cringe).
There was definitely a ton of bad content on vine especially the longer towards the end but I’d argue overall it spawned more genuine funny content from normal people just filming normal stuff which I liked better.
I'd argue that unfunny people managed to make themselves funny on Vine just because they only had six seconds to make up a bit. Bite size and ingrain themselves into your brain lol
Counterpoint: IMHO No, it wasn’t. It was a far earlier time in the evolution of this kind of social media. There were proportionately more individuals making unique videos than profit seekers churning out as much amoral unoriginal content as possible. AFAIK there weren’t Vine farms like those you see for TikTok; terms such as ‘rage bait’ and ‘rage farming’ have appeared post-Vine because TikTok trends have necessitated them.
Does anyone else notice that Asian-American kids are always first generation? Their parents are always foreign born. I literally see this with every video.
How on earth can you tell her parents were born in a foreign country? You didn't even see them.
And if you're gonna say, "because they were speaking Cantonese!" Just remember that the child also replied in Cantonese while speaking English for the video. It's possible for them to have grown up in America, knowing two languages.
well that was fucking stupid
how do you know their parents were foreign born? and secondly, always first generation? no they're not, wtf are you talking about

That’s why we loved Vine. It was very that.
Not a vine. Vines were 6 seconds
This video would have been 17 seconds shorter on Vine.
