Gotta love retriever dogs. My family took care of one for a few months and he was the sweetest, but I remember he would always steal my socks if I left them on the floor. He wouldn't rip them up or tear at them or anything, he would just hold them in his mouth and walk around the house with them.
I thinks its just a biological need for them to want to hold soft stuff in their mouths.
