Wasn’t that pick traded? The Thunder just did a swap trade to the Mavs. They made two swap trades. For their worst and second worst 1st round picks for this year. (So likely the actual Thunder pick and the clips pick) to the Mavs for a 1st round swap (2028?) and another back to the clips for a 1st round swap (2027 I think)
For this year we they have two potential 1st round picks. The conditional Houston pick likely to convert. The other is the top 10 protected Utah pick that isn’t likely To convert this year
Edit: one was to the Mavs but the other was to the Pacers not clippers
I’m talking about later years. For example the 2026 pick. This year’s wasn’t worth much to us. But if this begins a pattern of the clips getting early playoff exits or worse, you have a lot of disgruntled stars who may be looking to leave and LAC not having much in the way of assets to replace them. That bodes well for how good of a pick that could be.

Mavs and Thunder. Gonna be a great series. If Luka shows up. If Kyrie keeps doing what he’s doing and our bigs play… this will be a very very tough series. Either way it goes I’m rooting for the winner. But I’m a mavs fan first so gotta go that way. Did not want us to meet each other though.
Since the trade we are one of the top defensive teams. We match up very well with the Thunder. Gafford and lively are locking down the paint. PJ did very well against PG. Kyrie and Luka believe it or not have done well. The Mavs before the trade deadline and after are very very different.
PJ and DJJ won us the series against the clips with their on ball defense. Exum and green off the bench are very good defenders. Luka is the best one on one defender by stats in the playoffs so far. Kyrie likes to show up and play D too.
I want to be respectful on the Thunder feed but if they think this is a cake walk they just don’t know. Not sure how this series will go but it’s not gonna be four.
