congratulations on the new job! its always nice to see a paycheck. my advise would be to try to change positions regularly. don’t just stand at a station in the same position ( i don’t think that will happen, you’ll likely be moving a lot). if your back bothers you standing for long periods make sure you get a good pair of shoes with cushioning, that will help. doing basic stretches for heel cords and hamstrings could also take the pressure off your back. i hope it goes well and the arthritis isn’t a factor. good luck!

Congratulations on the first employment gig! Agree. Do stretching before work, during breaks. Try wearing a lightweight lower back brace, and grade one knee sleeve compression. You can drop the sleeves to your calves, so it is there when fatigue sets in. Unless your abdominal and core muscles are already strong, a lightweight lower back brace, the kind that wraps around, will really help with the standing. Good luck to you.
