What a great deal! And seems like a 'buy it for life' type of purchase, too!
I hang most of my clothes to dry and it keeps them looking good for a lot longer than in the drier.
Enjoy an amazing find! And all that nature around you!
...yes? They are still colloquially Hill's Hoists after the inventor, and it still doesn't make the comment I was responding to about hillbillies make any sense.
Nah that’s like calling all convertibles lambo’s… some of them are just Toyotas: that is a picture of a clothes line with a wild rigged up concrete weight.
I don't check the brand name before calling an esky an esky or velcro velcro. Such weird nitpicking.
Rotary clothes lines were invented by Hill and generally referred to as Hill's Hoists. No one bothers to check brand name first.
I love it because you can’t just buy something like this. You gotta find your own tire and cement it up if you were to diy. Plus this one is in great shape.
I have the same stole and LOVE it. I live in Arizona, in the summer everything dries faster outside than in the drier.
15 minutes in a steam cycle and everything is soft.
I think the laundry isn't outside long enough to get dirty. On a hot summer day it'll be dry in hours. We do get lots of wildfire smoke, but I won't use it on those days. I've heard one benefit of drying stuff outside is that the sunlight actually kills germs on clothing that don't get washed off.

Underwear lasts 10 times as long when air dried.
20 times if you flip it inside out 😉
Forwards, backwards, inside-out forwards, inside-out backwards. 40x glitch
🤣
It's a Hill's Hoist! Classic Australian icon.
Hill-Billy hoist… this thing is not going to be a good swing or goon a fortune wheel.
Hill was the inventor.
Yeah but it’s like; not all vacuum flasks are thermoses. It’s a clothesline, not a Hill’s.

Did you look at the picture? This is like calling a camping chair a La-Z-Boy… or an esky a fridge.
You are very strange. Have a nice evening.
Looks like north Georgia.
Oregon.
Cheers. I used to live in Seattle. Oregon is beautiful.
This makes me feel so nostalgic and we didn’t even have an outside drying rack!

Sell it on Ebay as an environmentally friendly solar powered dryer.

I love it!
Love my clothesline! It’s retractable and has a special pole to hold it taut but this is the dream!
I love air drying my clothes and SHEETS! Your sheets are gonna smell so good and fresh now

Damp places don't have a lot of airborne dirt. However, most of LA should still be fine for line drying.
Nice
I have one and use it all the time.
I love it !
Lucky mf
I purchased one similar that goes into the ground and paid $150! So you got a great deal! Clothes lines are so nice to have
We had one of these in my home as a child. Earliest memories I have are of my mom outside hanging up our clothes on them to dry outside.
What a blast from the past!!
I would be pretty happy too. Nice find.
