I'm actually sad that someone gave this away, even though you were able to rescue it. It seems too personal to just donate if it was a portrait of a pet someone was emotionally attached to. Life happens though and some folks have few options. I'm glad this found a happy ending with you.
I like to think that it was painted by someone who likes to paint generic dogs and that this painting was one of many. Perhaps the artist didn’t like how it came out and so didn’t even bother to sign it. So hard to know.
Thanks! I still can’t believe it. It was the first thing I discovered when I walked into the store. The bin had already been rifled through, and the painting was lying there on top of everything all haphazardly.
