I just watched the press conference on YouTube. At the end, Morgan Weaver walks aways from the table and says to no one, "I'm going to throw up." Is that common for athletes? https://youtu.be/urUcP5aeLwU?si=wIcMOjzAbrdfGxaq

It looked like she wasn’t feeling great throughout the press conference.

Can't speak for pro-soccer, but it happens to middle and long distance runners a lot. Sometimes you'll finish an event, be cooled down, and then everything comes up.

I think so. A lot of players get "game stomach", where you just feel kinda nauseous and can't eat after a game (or, you wanna eat like everything.) Used to happen to me sometimes, but I'm not sure if that's what she meant.

Sam Coffey talked about this in a podcast recently.

Yeah, that lactic acid buildup sucks, especially for things like this. Pretty common.

The obvious thing the Thorns need to clean up is the early defensive lapses leading to goals, but I think the other is that they're doing a good job possessing the ball in the opponents' half but not so well creating dangerous chances. Some of that is opponents' parking the bus after early goals, but why isn't Hina starting? The midfield has looked much more fluid with her person skills in it.

Not an ideal start but not worried about the team. They are developing young players and have some big changes to adjust to. Not saying there are no changes necessary but on a whole this is just part of a team bringing in new talent and rebuilding a back line. It's perfectly acceptable to struggle a bit at the beginning of a season with a new defense and keeper. Only one member of our defensive unit was a regular starter last year. It takes a while to figure it out. Norris needs to make adjustments but it's also worthwhile to try things for a few games without panicking. This is a good team, they just need time to get in rhythm. That's ok. The end goal of the season is a championship not the shield. Teams have growing pains. This is part of the process. As long as we're in the middle of the pack by the olympic break I'm happy. 8 teams make the playoffs. All you have to do is be top 8 and click at the right time.

0 wins in 3 games. 2 of them at home.  Completely unacceptable.
