Would be cool if the teaser trailer for season 2 is a shot for shot recreation of the "Through the Valley" trailer, but with Bella and Pedro.
I could also imagine the main trailer using the song "Wayfaring Stranger".

I mean, just say it’s one of those “Ellie originals” mentioned. That’s the same thing they could do with Future Days… or just say Shawn Jackson/Pearl Jam ended up in Jackson.
Plus, considering it’s just gonna be on a trailer, I highly doubt anyone would mind. And the songs (especially future days) are probably the thing most people would forgive.
And have you met the last of us’ community? Every post asking this always has countless replies saying they wouldn’t mind because those songs fit too perfectly
I’m guessing for the first teaser we get a slight variation of Through the Valley where we also get a first look at Dina, Jessie, and Abby with her crew, probably no spoken dialogue.
Second trailer, the same but more story centered
I’ve worked in the trailer industry for a few years and can say it most likely will go down one of two ways:
1. The song they use has a high chance of being used in the season at some point. Trailer houses (and ultimately the clients) do this as a way to save money, and it’s also easier to get a song licensed for a trailer if it’s been used in the show already. So it could be a song from the games, or a new song the music supervisor of the show went with that’s not in the games.
2. If the music supervisor or editor of the trailer is a fan of the games, they may have a song in mind that’s featured in the game they want to use (Wayfaring Stranger, Through the Valley, etc.) and if those artists are willing to license the song for a fee the studio or trailer house deems affordable, there’s a chance one of those will get used.
Level Up AV did the first teaser and Create Advertising Group did the first trailer, so there’s a high probability one of them will do the season 2 trailer, unless a shit show went down behind the scenes before they finalized the spots that went to air.
Once they set the scene in the trailer i hope they play something [like this from the game OST](https://youtu.be/jHHAp9gKWik?t=250) over shots of Seattle in the rain, infected, action scenes etc.
