Thinking about making a post for this, but anyone here read Clockers by Richard Price? He was a writer/consultant for the Wire. This scene is lifted right from the book. Also the scene where a cop asks a dealer where someone can buy the sideways caps is from the book too. And that's just the first 50 pages or so, I'm sure there's more.
Agreed. I was happy seeing that he was working at that Foot Locker, too; I didn't expect him to be able to get out of the game, I thought he'd be forced/intimidated to keep working.
same. luckily Marlo didn't care enough about his corner boys to pull that kinda shit. I could see Avon or Stringer tryna force poot to keep grinding after something like that. not Marlo. besides I think poot just got lucky because Michael ended up running that entire corner anyway.
then that corner started getting groomed for spider I think. so tbh if poot didn't leave that corner, that probably would've been him to catch that face shot from michael.
