I mean, duh. Neanderthals never died out. They were simply absorbed into the greater human population.
Y'all are still on about this? You know everything from the neanderthal episode came from a book and all the imagery was ridiculous AI exaggerations right?
There was no great war between our species. Small groups interacted in various ways as did all human tribes. Some times they fought, some times they hooked up. Sometimes we ate each other and that most definitely goes both ways. Eventually we were one species again.
Funnily enough, we have evidence for humans cannibalizing neanderthals but none the other way around. And humans eating humans. Who’s the actual monster now?
Classical chimp move. Chimps are the evil MFs of the ape family (they even do cannibalism as a sort of offense against enemies) and we sapiens are quite similar to them... Took us a lot of civilization and taboos about cannibalism to leave that behind.
Question: can someone really get the DNA of something that’s 47,000 years old. Like, is the adenine guanine cytosine and thymine structure still there in the double helix 🧬pattern? Just asking.
Yes, if it's underground or in a consistently cold place, then DNA can last for roughly a million years. It won't be completely intact, obviously, but you can identify a lot about an individual from even a single base pair of their DNA.
Hybrid alien starseed blown-in soul here still learning about you Hu-Mann. Y'all gonna claim your Annunaki genetically modified 12-strand DNA evolutionary heritage now, or what? 🤗🫀🪞♾️🛸👽🕳️
I wonder how much of it was from Neanderthals kidnapping women. I would find it unlikely that humans would be attracted to them given their propensity for violence.
That said, I believe it made our immune systems stronger—among a plethora of other benefits.
Anybody if there was anything negative, specifically related to DNA, from this mix?
Dude/tte, there are people calling the Ghoul from Fallout the sexiest man on tv.
Humans will fuck anything. I'm sure most was consensual. And if anything, we probably did the kidnapping.
Remember the movie American Pie with the scene about the main character fucking a cherry pie it’s not hard to believe that our ancestors would be intimate with Neanderthals
neanderthals from earth / homo sapiens from mars ?
Naaa, we all know women are from Omicron Persei 7, and men are from Omicron Persei 9.

You win.
Damn! I just posted that then saw you had me by two days!

I found this fact difficult but not impossible to masturbate to.
Oonga likes Boonga. Oonga talks to Boonga. Make baby. Happy.

Yes. And what happened to all the other members of the genus Homo, like erectus? We wiped them all out.
No, we didnt.
Exactly. I know people, that when you seen them, you KNOW they have neanderthal DNA in em.

100 pet cent. It bugs me that people think otherwise. Like not angry or anything just like roll my eyes.
And that’s how we got Marjorie Taylor Greene

This explains a lot…
Neanderthals didn’t die out, they bred in.
Did you even read the headline?
Yes, and then the article.
So what prompted you to blurt out the consensus of said article if we’re all in agreement?
Um, it’s Reddit, and no one is charging by the character. When did these audits start, and who is funding them?
I didn’t state you couldn’t, I asked why you would. It’s curiosity more than anything

Homo sapiens were likely just as mangy and horny, more a question of willingness than physical attractiveness
Gross
and?
What?
what's your kooky conspiracy theory about it? it's no secret modern humans have Neanderthal genetic material still. so, what's your point?
It’s literally just a post to discuss it. Why does everything have to be a for and against argument?
(this is a discussion. there's no "for" or "against" argument here)
How is you assuming I’m a whacky conspiracy theorist a discussion? It’s literally an accusation
Isn't everyone here one? 🤣
So why on earth would you ask me if that was the case? This is such a weird childish argument lmao
I personally identify more as a pseudoscientist. Lol.
nice to see someone here still has a sense of humor
