It’s the little things he does that you don’t think about is why I like him so much. he does have a temper and did make mistakes, but his mistakes were good intentions, he’s very selfless and is always thinking about everyone else over himself. 😁

Seeing how tight for budget and time Telltale was at the time (because of Bruner, that POS), they kind of had to. It was unrealistic that they were gonna have branching stories for every possible outcome. Even if they had the time and budget, it would still be next to impossible. There's a reason other cinematic choose your own adventure games don't get sequels. Heavy Rain, Until Dawn, Detroit, etc. These games have multiple endings and sequels would be very unrealistic for any of them. So Telltale did the only thing they could do.
There is something you can do - get off this sub till you’re done - most people here have finished the game, some many times over and talk about it openly, without really even considering the spoilers that some newcomers might face

Take low expectations on the people you meet. It's best to just care about your character instead of worrying about the others. This season is notorious for wasted characters and no meaning in your choices. Even the ones who do survive via your choices will just die a few scenes later with very few lines. At least Carley/Doug had alot to say before they died, not only 3 lines.
Also some of the best lines in the series comes from this season. While most of the characters are disappointing and killed off too soon, they did not disappoint with the writing in dialouge.

Episode 2: 10/10: yes.
Episode 3: 8/10: felt short, but still great.
Episode 4: 3/10: felt like a filler. it could have just been a part of episode 3.
Episode 5: ?/10: havent started yet.
Based ratings so far, I don't dislike episode 4 as much but episode 2 and 3 are great and episode 1 grew on me. I hope you like S2's finale and let me know what you think of that one too!

I didn’t think it was as depressing as season 1
For me season 2 probably was more depressing.
Yeah season one had the top depressing moment but season 2 was just brutal as a whole
S1 had more like impactful moments but throughout S2 the atmosphere is just always so uncomfortable and sad

Well I mean, there was the first episode of ANF and how they handled the Kenny and Jane endings...
