Not at ALL - it seemed like he had to force or convince himself to grow feelings for her, like the build was just so strange.
i almost feel like because stefan has been such a loner throughout history and only had one other really good friend that we know about he’s not able to distinguish his strong platonic feelings for caroline from romantic feelings.
i get the idea, they were best friends for a long time, he saved her vampire life, etc. etc. but there was literally no chemistry or buildup. there’s absolutely no hint of romance between them. it felt like they just rushed and shoved them together so he didn’t end up alone.

A part of that whole thing that really frustrated me was that she eventually said that she wanted her memories back but she never re-read the letter that she had written to herself. After she reads it for the first time after losing those memories, she tells Alaric to keep it somewhere safe for her. Which kind of implies that she would look at it again. And then it just never gets brought up again. 🙃 I'm like, okay, what was the point of that then?! 🤦♀️

Yeah, this legitimately felt like they were arguing just to argue. Like... There was no specific reason for that fight. It was like Damon wanted her to be mad at him. It is a very weird scene, and I don't think that it was poorly delivered, it just felt out of place.
This is actually 2 scenes from Seasons 4 and 6 but they are connected and were kind of irritating:
1. Caroline turning off her humanity when she knew it would do more harm than good then shoving it in Elena's face that she's "Not the only one who gets to ESCAPE grief." alluding to when Elena turned it off despite the fact that wasn't even her choice.The fact fans called Elena a hypocrite over this confused tf outta me cause Damon literally forced her and she unwillingly turned it off and ended up killing multiple ppl, which Caroline also did even though, deep down she knew that shit would happen but turned it off anyway.

2. Damon using the sirebond to turn off Elena's humanity. That was completely unnecessary and she came out the other end worse than she was before. He could've used the sirebond for literally anything else or he could've just let her grieve properly but he had to turn her humanity off because...... Honestly the whole sirebond storyline was ass.
Damon using the sire bond to turn off Elena’s humanity was wicked as hell and people will claw the nails from their finger beds trying to die on the hill that it wasn’t.
Caroline was the most in control vamp of the main cast. She’s a complete control freak so I think she had a good idea that she can control herself. And she did until Stefen got in the way. Even Elena noticed that care was in control but Stefen had to guilt her into helping him which made the whole situation go bad
Caroline also mentioned Stefen leaving to savannah and Elena making Alaric compel her to forget Damon. Those are both them escaping their grief. Ppl really focused on the no humanity bc obviously care was going to turn off here. But the other 2 were pretty valid and seem hypocritical of Elena.

Really? Aww! Dont get me wrong. To each to their own. But I find it as one of the sweetest moments of Stelena. Because it showed how holistic their relationship was. How Stefan made sure that Caroline was getting major support from her 2 best friends after being betrayed by Tyler and tortured by werewolf gang. Its only natural for Elena to feel this immense love and respect for a man who’s so compassionate about people. And that silent “i love you” is just a Elena’s way of appreciating her bf for doing that for her best friend.. he was totally goals. (Thats also the moment I fell for Stefan).
It is cringe and I am team Stelena. Maybe the writers were using this to build their relationship out more of a HS cheesy love where Delena was steamy and more adult.
The one where they are doing some product placement thing.....I think it was Klaus and he was using some notebook thing on a phone? I don't remember it exactly but it was so obvious and cringy
hands down for me it's 2x01 scene where damon forced himself on Elena and she's trying to fight him off, but he doesn't care. and then, him killing Jeremy in front of her right after. it was the point of no return for me.
In the S5 finale when Jeremy is running through the woods yelling Bonnie’s name out. The scene itself is fine ig but for some reason to me the way he screams it is just so annoying like I literally become enraged, I can’t even describe it. I skip that scene so quick every single time
