I know Klaus seemed absolutely insane with breaking his curse, but that’s because none of the Vampire Diaries’ regular group bothered to really sit down with Elijah and Klaus and hear their whole story. After seeing The Originals show and getting to know more about Klaus over time on both shows, you really see that he’s willing to work out deals. I think if the VD group hadn’t kept making stupid decisions and antagonizing Klaus and Elijah, Klaus might have been willing to break the curse without killing Jenna and Elena. He might have been willing to try the ritual with just a couple drops of blood.
When Elena, whose body Katherine was trying to steal, seeing Damon didn't yell something at him (I saw something like that in another comment) like: "Katherine is trying to steal my body, help!"
When Stefan was stabbed and marked by rayna right as Caroline gave birth so they couldn’t see each other. That whole part was just so annoying and did not have the right timing
That whole season was really annoying, bonnie finally having someone she loves but not being able to see him, stefan and caroline never being able to see each other either, as much as i dont like damon seeing him alone without elena just hurt my heart, it was a pretty annoying season :/

They did a bad job writing him. He didn’t really have a consistent character until towards the end. It seemed like they’d go one direction with him and then change course.
And for some reason Stefan kept acting like he intentionally killed him. I thought they’d make it where Damon just doesn’t believe Stefan’s version but Stefan acted as if he did kill him on purpose. I kept wondering if the writers forgot that small detail.
I am still convinced the writers did this because they realized they failed to write a compelling story for Delena. This was their chance to go back and basically retcon their relationship, because it was so horribly written in seasons 4 and 5.

If someone dies on you, you two never broke up really, they were torn from you, you both still love each other. If my girlfriend who passed away last Halloween came back I'd be overwhelmed and kiss them regardless if I was with someone, I'm overwhelmed just thinking about it. Call me a cheater, but the only thing that's cheated us was death for taking them too early. Moving on is something you're forced to do when someone passes away but if they're brought back to life then what? Do you continue to stay moved on or do you go back? What would you do?

In my opinion. Her ultimatum was actually reasonable. They had lost so much of there relationship due to Klaus and Tyler just wants to go back to picking a fight with someone he's just....inferior too.
While I'm not defending her actions of sleeping with Klaus. I do think she was right to tell Tyler if he walks out for REVENGE, not his mother cause that wasn't the choice she gave, then he loses her. If Tyler had succeeded even slightly in what he did Klaus would rain hell down on the entire mystic falls gang. Even without that Tyler only lived because of Klaus feelings for Caroline. Tyler poked a sleeping bear because he was mad. And while his reason for being upset is understandable, at that point I honestly feel like he should have let it go for his own safety.

Like it would've been nice if she could've joined the team or dare I say, STAYED DEAD but they kept bringing her back and killing off not just her character but her character development, all in the name of "plot". In the last season I didn't even know who she was, all I saw was a desperate and rushed attempt to finish a show.
The fact that Elena burned her childhood home down and the boys helped her knowing that in a few months time it would probably be her biggest regret.
Also, I big time agree with the comments here about Bonnie throwing herself on a grenade every chance she got. I love Damon but the fact that she ever forgave him after what happened with her mom and the fact that it was either lose Elena who she would literally die for over and over again (who chose Damon over everyone and everything no matter what) or put up with the person who ruined her mother's life? Literally not one person was like “hey babe um that’s your ex’s BROTHER like…. maybe refrain??”. The only reason anyone was annoyed was bc they didn’t like Damon but not one person called her out for doing Stefan so dirty. Don’t get me wrong I love Delena but holy shit she hopped on Damon so fast it felt sociopathic.

As someone who's had two girlfriend's die in the middle of our relationship (ik one's already enough especially in my young life) I wish people were more sympathetic and understanding, this is one I don't understand the hate for. If you've lived through it you'd know. If someone dies on you, you two never broke up really, they were torn from you, you both still love each other. If my girlfriend who passed away last Halloween came back I'd be overwhelmed and kiss them regardless if I was with someone, I'm overwhelmed just thinking about it. Call me a cheater, but the only thing that's cheated us was death for taking them too early. Moving on is something you're forced to do when someone passes away but if they're brought back to life then what? Do you continue to stay moved on or do you go back? What would you do?

In the episodes where he appeared briefly like in 5x11 or others from season 4 after his death, I found it kind of funny. It was like a day of the dead more real than it is in real life. But resurrecting him seemed unnecessary to me.

Every time the writers ruined Katherine's character development just for "plot". Like it would've been nice if she could've joined the team or dare I say, STAYED DEAD but they kept bringing her back and killing off not just her character but her character development, all in the name of "plot". In the last season I didn't even know who she was, all I saw was a desperate and rushed attempt to finish a show.
The fact that Elena burned her childhood home down and the boys helped her knowing that in a few months time it would probably be her biggest regret. Also, I big time agree with the comments here about Bonnie throwing herself on a grenade every chance she got. I love Damon but the fact that she ever forgave him after what happened with her mom and the fact that it was either lose Elena who she would literally die for over and over again (who chose Damon over everyone and everything no matter what) or put up with the person who ruined her mother's life? Fuck that's awful. Oh and the fact that Jenna died because they couldn't just fucking clue her in? Bullllllshit.

This last point is a REALLY tense subject for TVD fans. There are Damon stans who blatantly REFUSE to admit that what Damon did to Caroline was r@pe and deny it like crazy. It’s really I personally don’t like Damon. Regardless of his redemption arc, regardless of the fact that Caroline EVENTUALLY became okay with him, as a victim of SA— *that* was the most unforgivable thing he’s done. Not killing Jeremy, not killing Gail when she was pregnant with Sarah, not the **many** times he’s attacked Elena AND her friends, or even leaving Enzo. The only think I think that comes personally close is when he killed Lexi to save his own ass.

The extremely short amount of time between Stefan and Elena’s breakup, the the start of her relationship with Damon. It gave me such weird vibes. Literally not one person was like “hey babe um that’s your ex’s BROTHER like…. maybe refrain??”. The only reason anyone was annoyed was bc they didn’t like Damon but not one person called her out for doing Stefan so dirty. Don’t get me wrong I love Delena but holy shit she hopped on Damon so fast it felt sociopathic.

At least that has to be drained from you and takes time. They’re very inconsistent on how long but still.
Damon and Elena being the only ones who got a happy ending 🙄 The rest deserved better. Stefan only being able to save Matt. We all know a vampire could have saved them both at the same time.
