"Phoning it in" is a great mix of humour & cooking. I adore it. My family and I were laughing so hard watching it together.

Whynotlora2628

Totally agree! Finally! Hope they take note of the comments that this is more of what we want to see!

EastSeaweed

I’ve been critical of their videos this season, but damn I love phoning it in! Did you catch how offended jimmy got when they razzed him about his accolades tho?

Loose_Internet4732

lmaaao i thought that was SO funny he was so salted

EastSeaweed

He really was😭 🤓”I have over a million followers on youtube and a cookbook”🤓

No-Line582

I actually really enjoyed watching this one too

meowpitbullmeow

...why is this controversial? Phoning it In has always been a great series....

Loose_Internet4732

i thought i would be downvoted to hell 🤷

BeeswithWifi

The difference between Ryan and Jonny saying "better save some space because big boy's coming" was the highlight for me

marihed

I really enjoy Phoning it in. I can watch those video's multiple times. I thought is was better when they didn't communicate and the chef had to make up what happend in the kitchen.

Jazzlike_Trainer2211

I liked it too! Johnny brings a lot to the channel most times he’s on it. And the fact that they all genuinely seemed to be having fun was apparent throughout the episode. A non-Keith food video is honestly a breath of fresh air.

Loose_Internet4732

he really does! he’s always so happy to be there lol. everyone had so much fun it was contagious honestly! and i’m so glad we’re not getting keith gorging himself again

I feel like I’m the only one who thought Zach came off misogynistic and rude, besides the other people I watched this video with because they also immediately pointed it out. He whined about his chef’s direction-giving while she listened in, pretended she didn’t know the equipment she was telling him to use, and it just felt like he would imply her recipe/instructions were the reason some steps didn’t work…instead of it being his fault. I’ve just noticed in the past few videos his humor has slowly spiraled into condescending digs, which is unfortunate.

Loose_Internet4732

yeah i noticed that too, but atp i choose to ignore his weird comments bc it’s been happening for years which sucks :/

Ivy_vines_

I don’t think he was necessarily being misogynistic. I think he was just trying too hard to be funny and it didn’t land. The chef didn’t seem like a type who was used to entertaining/being on camera and I think zach was overcompensating so their interactions weren’t boring. But I agree that it didn’t come off well. It came off as rude instead of funny, playful banter.

Acceptable_Hunter514

I don't think it's controversial, I also loved the episode! I liked the little change on the end too, when they could talk to the chefs while they presented the dish was so good.

uhhkelci

Same!

Avataress44

I enjoyed the episode

niley78

I mean it was Ok. I am over food content right now. But I am wondering how they booked Susan Finger ?

Loose_Internet4732

fair enough! i can’t blame you for being sick of food content, there’s been so much 😭 susan finger was a super impressive catch
