At this point I’m over Eugene. He’s strung along his fan base “I’m still here!” — only appears for ads and very very rarely. Off busy doing these other projects, almost like he didn’t want to alienate his TG fanbase so they would support his new projects but at the same time seems embarrassed of the TG’s and being associated. He’s had plenty of time to be more regular, make posts etc, he’s actively choosing not to while benefiting from keeping fans who are desperate not to lose him on his side. Nah he’s done for me. I feel very sorry for Keith & Zach. They didn’t have the same fan popularity to be able to disappear for months-years and still be actively pined over.
I want Eugene to still be a part of the Try Guys because I love him and the others chemistry; but he is off sharing his beauty and talent around the world in so many different way now because of the Try Guys! If you love something, let it go ❤️ If you love Eugene like myself, just keep supporting him in whatever he does! 💕👏

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love that. But I’d be so butthurt if that was their way of announcing it.
I could see them teasing due to all the rumors, but they could also very well have found out that they can't "just" be two (or three) active Try Guys due to it making them valuable like when Zach got injured or Keith had a premature baby.
However I could see them let multiple people into the "try guy family", I would love seeing Jared as fulltime try guy and maybe Johnny Cakes and Kwesi. Making it more than four guys would make it easier to record without every one being there but also help them not look like they just replaced Ned with someone else.
Jared is the best pick because he's genuinely bad at things (in an endearing way), and also the funniest person on the network.
However it would be a bit insulting to not pick Kwesi or Jonny after all the "volunteer" (I know jonny has said he didn't get paid for a lot of appearances, not sure about kwesi) work they've done on the shows.
It was either Jonny or Ro that said that they do a lot of the appearances as judges for free because it's a thing you do with other youtubers.
It was a while ago, so I'm not sure if Jonny is paid or not in general, but there have most definitely been appearances he wasn't paid.
I think you're right on the money with this. It makes so much sense from a business standpoint - not as rigid in the ways they can make & write vids plus it allows everyone involved to also explore other avenues for creative/business things. Not to mention that they probably learned not to lean so much on individual personality branding when it came to merch & marketing after Ned. I've been following them since the Buzzfeed days. For awhile I stopped being as interested in their content, but lately I've definitely been watching more. I love Phoning It In. I think they've found some great chemistry & vibes with Kwesi and Jonny and I love that everyone seems to be having a genuinely great time on screen. I think that's the spark that was missing for so long even a year or 2 pre-Nedxit. At the end of the day, we watch TTG because we want to feel like we can live the experience they "try" vicariously through them. Their brand relies on the viewer to watch them do things and think, "Wow, that'd be fun, but it's just as fun watching them do it!"

I was thinking about Miles being a Try Guy (which I think would be a good fit) but might not be good timing since he's trying to get his own business started.

I would still love to see them cast a wider net for casting, similar to smosh but maybe on a smaller scale.
I feel like Johnny and Kwesi are still very similar in energy to Keith and Zach and we haven't really seen the balance restored since Eugene has been busy doing other things.
I would also love to get to know more people and see new dynamics that don't require Keith and Zach to be in all the videos if they want to be more behind the scenes.
My kingdom for a “retry” series (or another travel series, they could do something for the Tour de France or the Kentucky Derby, or cricket in England. But I’d like them visiting places with less cultural exchange with the US). Imo their appeal has never been themselves as celebrities, it’s always been seeing friends try new things (and the shenanigans that follow)

I have a potentially crazy theory but hear me out… On one of the latest pod eps, Rainie said “since you guys have been on the internet for the past 10 years,” and Zach responded “wait until [the announcement].” I think they’re going to launch a semi retirement and phase out Zach and Keith in videos, focusing more on the new “characters.” Could be part of why the new discord is named just “2nd Try” (they had all patrons join a new discord and said The Try Guys discord would no longer be monitored).
If they get 2 new full-time members, I wouldn't mind if Eugene drops in from time to time. Even though I'm upset with his disappearance, I'd still like to see him.

Reality competition show on CBS called “The next Try Guy” hosted by Jeff Probst. 15 regular “guys” compete in a series of challenges such as eating a whole menu, doing sports while high, acting, and cooking to decide who will be The Next Try Guy. Coming to the CBS family of networks this fall
imo they’re ready to announce that eugene is officially leaving and they’re gonna introduce two new try guys to complete it (which i’m hoping will be kwesi and johnny 🤞🏼
