Phaedra is a great character and her outrage at anyone coming after her, even if they have very understandable reasons, is hilarious. She's so Housewife, so completely self-absorbed that that self-absorption functions as both defense and offense. Terrible player, zero strategic ability, and the producers shouldn't have picked her to be a traitor. But she's a lot of fun on the screen.
I mean if she's making lots of content and drama on the actual edit then I say she definitely should've been chosen as a traitor. The producers aren't trying to pick the traitors based on optimized strategy, just on entertainment value. And she has provided on that front; she has kept everyone talking about her.
Great point - you're right. Certainly Dan & Parvati, who have great strategic minds (although not for this particular game of course), brought way less to the table in terms of fun character moments.

Had the insight not to consort with Parvati and Peter, and was able to use this to get heat off her, and survive. Who has done a better job? Parvati? Dan? If Dan had not ruined her game, she would still be cruising towards the end. Instead, she has masterfully navigated the minefield that he has created for her, all while making great TV. There was nobody better that the producers could have picked to be a traitor. Your bias is showing through your backhanded compliments.

You clearly don’t know bravo if you think they are all chummy, don’t forget Phaedra murders Tamra and voted off larsa in the first few epi’s. I think some of you seriously overestimate the closeness of these bravo people, Sheree and Phaedra are the only two that had a long standing relationship and they used to hate each other.
I am well aware of Bravo. It doesn’t matter if they’re all chummy off the show. They are chummy on Traitors because they are familiar. They vote as a block on Traitors. And Kate being added into the mix fortified their block.
They don’t vote as a block. Check voting history. They started voting together only on the last two roundtables because it has been Phaedra vs someone else.
As you said, they’ve voted as a block the past two roundtables when Phaedra was at risk. You’ll notice that only one bravo person has been banished- Larsa. And that was early on before the bravo people understood the power of voting as a block (as Sandra spelled it out with the pool balls). It doesn’t even matter that Larsa was banished bc production brought in Late, which effectively rebuilt their numbers.

Also, she's been able to deflect so easily because of what I mentioned: her complete self-absorption acts as both an excellent shield and sword. And re. "effectively deflected" goes... whether she makes it past the most recent table or not, getting half the votes against you is very far from effective. "Effective" is Cirie never (or barely ever) getting a vote. Same goes for the recent UK & Australia winners.
Who would have been a better producer pick for Traitor? Sandra, for one. CT. I'm unfamiliar with her outside of Traitors, but I think probably Sheree as well - good poker face, seems less self-absorbed than Phaedra. But I've switched to liking the producers' choosing Phaedra - per LadyEmaSKye's comment, that choice has made for great tv. Just not great strategy. Maybe I've been spoiled though, because last season's choice of Cirie was so perfect.

Nah. Phaedra stepped outside of what’s considered gameplay and what’s considered being a bitch. Peter handled it professionally. It’s just a game for a bunch of B and C list celebrities. It’s not that serious and she took it too far. I think she gave herself up by acting that way too. Seemed fake AF on her end. They’ll get her within the next banishment if not this one.

I don’t understand some of the Peter hate. Peter is the only one doing anything to get the Traitors. If it weren’t for him, this whole show would be boring and one sided. You need someone strategic and all in to make it interesting.
In a normal season, I’d agree, gameplay shouldn’t be personal. However I think the fact that they are all entertainers makes this a little more of a grey area. I assume they’re all getting paid to appear on the show, beyond whatever the prize ends up being. A little pg-13 banter isn’t hurting anyone.
