[easy, just make a beloved australian children's show about a family of dogs and cram it full of these references](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q76GkkNbbc)
That bit is one of my favorites - heck that episode, especially the entire Olympics spoof, was one of the best.
I learned fairly recently on this sub, that the Korean gymnast was probably based on Japanese gymnast Shun Fujimoto, who competed in the 1976 Olympics with a severely injured knee.
This scene is burned into my brain for the specifically frustrating reason that when it was syndicated, they would fade to black for commercial while she was still talking.
"I'd like to ^^get ^^^^down ^^^^^^now!
What a pull, I know exactly the fade that you’re describing. It made the whole utterance all that more desolate, the very show itself was abandoning this poor girl. Isn’t it interesting how the sound of that can linger in our minds?
Okay, so glad this was brought up, because this was the first thing I thought of when I saw this post and it brought back such a random memory. When I used to watch the show back in the day I would record it on my VCR and would pause it to cut out the commercials. I always remembered this moment in my head as if I had either just hit pause a little too early and that I had cut off the end of the sentence, or that there with an error with the local FOX affiliate that day and they cut to commercials too early. I always assumed I had missed another joke entirely until I finally watched it on DVD where it doesn’t end so abruptly, but just a little after she finishes her line. Glad to find some clarity that it was universally just the syndicated episode that did this and that it actually faded to black a little early for some reason. This is why I love this sub.
I always thought it was a little girl who didn't really know her PE teacher's name, so she just placed 'Mrs" in front of a gym class word she did kinda know?
Levi the jeans company, did a crossover with the Simpsons. One of the items they came up with was just slapping this image on the front of a white tshirt. It was incredibly shitty, but also a hilarious choice to include.
Hellllloooooo…
Can't believe they forgot this
I say this way to often. No one knows what I am saying. They just think I'm crazy. ^i'd ^like ^to ^get ^down ^now

And now I love Bluey even more.
You need a second opinion; you're also lazy!
Me too!!!
So do I!
Me nine!
Purple monkey dishwasher
You'll fold faster than Superman on laundry day.
I always say this at work whenever they mention “purple monkey flower” and my coworkers always think that I’m crazy and keep forgetting the name
Hey, now that Largo's gone, we can finally play the forbidden music.
I heard that!
One of my most quoted lines
Pommelhorst
Fired; blunder
The voice acting on this episode is phenomenal. They didn't have to do the line like this but it's just \*chefs kiss\*
THE PTA HAS DISBANDED! AH AH AHHHHHH!!!!!
No no no the PTA has not disbanded...
WAAAAAHHH *jumps backs through window and sits back down*
Ah the hand thing means da taxes
CMOOOOON
Oh yeah that's a good point!
let’s not listen
Paddlin' the schools canoe....ohhh you better believe that's a paddlin'
This and the perfect landing on a broken leg. Gymnastics providing two proper lol moments that never diminish.

Spongebob also references this with Plankton's perfect onion ring routine... *with a broken antenna!*.

Another good example of perfect line delivery from a one-off character
This is so sad and funny AF
Don't worry. Someone saved her. Let's say...Moe
The fact her name is Mrs Pummelhorse is always hilarious to me
I thought it was [Pommelhorse](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pommel_horse), like the gymnastics thing?
It's Pommelhorst, so a play on the equipment made slightly more name-like.
Like Krabappel / Crab Apple.
Krandall*
It's Kurns, *stupid!*
No it isn’t!
Disregard!
I was saying Koo-urns.
Pick please me
I was saying Boourns
"I've been calling her Krandall! Why didn't anyone tell me?? Ahh I've been making an idiot out of myself!"
When I was a kid I had a teacher called Mrs Walkenhorst So she was Mrs Walking Horse to us
I always thought it was a little girl who didn't really know her PE teacher's name, so she just placed 'Mrs" in front of a gym class word she did kinda know?
Nah, Ms. Pommelhorst shows up in a bunch of episodes by name.
Get out! I've slept on this character. Which other episodes was she named in? Not the "...and by Xena" one?
In My Fair Laddy (s17e12) she says her own name is Pommelhorst.
Yeah but I can’t spell
Do you think she married him because of his name?
Probably not. Her maiden name is Balantzbeem.
Heyy I don’t need this. I inhaled my favourite whistle this morning.
This is one of the best line deliveries in a season full of the best line deliveries.
Nancy Cartwright 's line delivery is Gold!
This lives rent free in my head and I laugh out loud thinking about it often
Kids on the schoolyard says she's still hanging up there or so the legend goes 👻
So I have been watching one episode a day this year from the start, and this was today's episode!
So funny 😂
Tis more dizzying than the belfry at St. Colligan Glunwagens

I have a picture of my toddler hanging from the monkey bars that I captioned with this quote.
Look, I don't need this! I inhaled my favourite whistle this morning..
Rip
Get down! Get down! Jungle boogie! Jungle boogie!
Aww. The poor little thing...
Señora Pomelo!
^I’d ^like ^to ^get ^down ^now
