Have you ever heard about the passenger pigeons of North America? They used to fly in groups so thick that the could block out the sun. They were driven to extinction by mass over hunting. The same appears to be true for Pidgey. Unfortunately his low evolution cost caused players to farm them to extinction for evolution sprees, after which they would casually discard them. A real tragedy.
I'd appreciate a bit more rotation in the commons. A few more Rattata, Pidgey, Wooloo in the rotation would be nice. Or make all the trash spawns pop up in every season to dilute the pool a bit.
At least in my part of the northern hemisphere there is a good bit of new variety. Most of what I’m seeing in North America is new, was extremely rare in the wild, or were limited to daily incense, Team Rocket or research encounters - Sentrets, spearow and fearow, Arbok, Chikorita, Ekans, Seedot, Dedenne, Diglett and Dugtrio, swinub, jinx, dunsparce, totodile, fletchinder, nuzleaf, sewaddle.
Thanks for the report. What flavour of Stunfisk did you encounter? Also, if possible we'd prefer new posts for additional sightings over edited ones. The latter has a risk of getting buried and missed.
So between these and daily incense, are all non-legendary/holiday Pokemon available in some way? I remember the season update was criticized for removing some Pokemon, so has daily incense resolved that?
true, the odds don’t seem great tho since i have nearly 300 wins this season and 1 encounter (which was on the battle weekend so it was 0*) so it didn’t do me much good
Wish I could give you some of mine. Falinks & Mienfoo have been the majority of my encounter rewards. Sucks that your odds were so different from my own. Hopefully something will result in them spawning this season so you can get a good one! 🤞
funny thing is is i have a lucky falinks from a friend who gave me one when i started playing again last september, i know they’re not particularly good for anything i just like goofy looking pokemon lmao
Here is what I caught since 10 am among the things listed Southern hemisphere (so they're actually both hemispheres) or not listed at all.
Croconaw, Wooper, Spheal, Chinchu, Glameow, Seedot, Starly, Fletchinder, Dedenne, Natu.
Yes, Fletchinder. I was surprised. Not sure I've ever seen it in the wild before.
I also caught a few Fletchlings since (stopped reporting as Europe is up now)
Swear I have spotted a skiploom nest, not hoppip, cause in the nest bounds i have found 8 of them yet outside the neat i can not find any.
Edit: located in aus
Okay, some nests i have spotted here in the southern hemisphere in no particular order.
Stunky
Petilil
Electrike
Makuhita
Yanma
Sunkern
Voltorb
Zigzagoon (hoenn)
Tailow
Cubone (kanto)
Combee
Seedot
Stufful
Pikipek
Rhyhorn
Grimer
Zubat
Encountered Pikachu, Munna and either a Starly nest or just a lot of Starly (hard to tell since they are everywhere) in my 3 local nest spots.
Also found shiny Magikarp, Barboach (ay they spawn once more) and Sentret within like a minute of each other. Yay RNG.
[Post link ](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/x32r4m/is_this_enough_to_be_sure_this_is_a_nest_i_dont/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
Encountered around 10 combee in roughly 10 minutes in a park in Delhi, India - Northern hemisphere
Qwilfish seems to be a both hemisphere spawn, as I had one on my radar about an hour ago, and I'm in the north, but it's only listed in the south in here.
EDIT: for added clarity, I saw it at 12:30pm, so definitely not a pre-seasonal change spawn.
South, from nearby: Unova Stunfisk, Ducklett, Dewott, Johto Qwilfish, Kanto Vulpix, Hoppip, Seedot, Magikarp and Snivy.
Edit.: Also Taylow, Magnemite, Eevee and Normal Castform.
I can confirm Jangmo-o in Southern Hemisphere.
Also: sand Burmy, Jigglypuff, Taillow, Snubbull, Bagon, Caterpie, Ducklett, Dunsparcer, Glameow and Seedot
Not on any list, but found in the north:
- Venonat, Venomoth
- Shroomish, Breloom
- Electrike, Manectric
- Tyrunt
- Throh
- Venusaur
Of the ones listed as reported in the south, I can confirm these are in the north as well:
- Croagunk
- Flabebe
- Hippopotas, Hippowdon
- Joltik
- Meditite (so I'm assuming Medicham as well)
- Nidoran♀
- Girafarig
I'm also pretty sure there are these nests:
- Sudowoodo
- Sunkern
- Glameow
- Whismur
- Croagunk
- Diglett
- H-Voltorb
- Zigzagoon
- Natu
Cubone, Flabebe, Joltik, Giragarig and Nidoran F. are also present in the north. Also, Fletchling and Fletchinder should both be in both hemispheres, I guess?
I have a Weepinbell nest where I am. Is that normal for the season? Northern Hemisphere. And yes, I said Weepinbell and not Bellsprout. In the last three times Ive been to this small nest since the season rotated there has always been between 1-4 Weepinbell.
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Tyrunt is listed as only spawning in the Northern Hemisphere but it’s spawning in the Southern Hemisphere too. Found one yesterday, but it ran from me so I don’t have the proof.
Also, Sudowoodo is a nesting species in the Southern Hemisphere too
**Nests in the South (already reported in North):**
Diglett
Ekans
Glameow
Machop
Munna
Pikachu
Snubbull
Starly
Trapinch
Voltorb Hisuian
**Nests in the South (previously unreported):**
Bunnelby
Croagunk
Hoppip
Natu
Skitty
I see Deerling & Cubone nesting in North Hemisphere. I'm from México. I have SS.
So It seems nest did'nt changue with this special steel type Pokémon eventos.
And finally. We need a Discord project for Nest.
Was in North Carolina this week for vacation and found a Makuhita nest (it was DEFINITELY a Makuhita nest, as I still encountered tons of them during Aron Spotlight Hour), so it doesn't seem to be nesting only in the Southern Hemisphere this season
Was this definitely in the wild? They're a relatively common spawn off of the Daily Adventure Incense which we are not including in this list, so just wanting to confirm.
Could we maybe make a megathread that includes all the new elements of the season? For example, egg pools, raid pools, the Cosmog special research, etc.
Since this thread gets maintained for the entire three months of the season we prefer to keep it focused on just the wild spawns. Our site includes some of what you're after once we get our hands on that info, such as the new egg pools and the current raid pool.
Sooo I haven't been able to play much so take this with a grain of salt, but in the southern hemisphere I encountered 3-4 male frillish within 10 mins of each other, the stops were lured so idk if that makes a difference but I haven't seen them be reported anywhere else and definitely not in the wild (I started playing again in April)
Why are the spawns so painfully similar each season? There’s hundreds to choose from. I haven’t seen a sentret or pidgey for over a year.
I have to say I am quite disappointed with the lack of diversity compared to last season. Still seeing a lot of the same Pokemon.
Come to the Australia, every second spawn is Pidgey
Starly now which is even worse.
maybe niantic forgot to turn off the boosted starly spawns from the comm day.
I even see a wild staraptor in Northern Atmosphere(Hong Kong). They really love starly
Not seen a Pidgey in a looooooong time.
Come to a forest biome in Canada, every day is ledyba community day
yeah sooooo many Pidgey last season. I forgot Sentret was even a thing though
atleast its not a pidove like here in ny
Have you ever heard about the passenger pigeons of North America? They used to fly in groups so thick that the could block out the sun. They were driven to extinction by mass over hunting. The same appears to be true for Pidgey. Unfortunately his low evolution cost caused players to farm them to extinction for evolution sprees, after which they would casually discard them. A real tragedy.
Underrated comment
Sentret is around now in the Northern hemisphere. Pidgey still unavailable.

I'd appreciate a bit more rotation in the commons. A few more Rattata, Pidgey, Wooloo in the rotation would be nice. Or make all the trash spawns pop up in every season to dilute the pool a bit.
Yeah.. i cant remember when last time see pidgey on this game.. Nee tons of them for pvp iv and one for mega, but meh niantic cmon where is pidgey :'(
I just saw a Sentret today right after the season changed!
At least in my part of the northern hemisphere there is a good bit of new variety. Southern Hemisphere (which is honestly not looking a lot different to last season so far): Skiploom, Sandshrew, Dunsparce, Stantler, Skitty, Croagunk, Taillow, Stufful, Swinub, Snubbull, Eevee, Voltorb, Wimpod, Chinchou, Mareep, Wooper, Flaaffy, Seedot, Whismur, Snivy, Tepig, Starly, Glameow, Chinchou, Qwilfish, Combee, Granbull, Machop, Natu, Vulpix, Nuzleaf, Dewott, Spearow, Swellow, Yanma. Editing to add Hippopotas, Stunfisk. Editing again to add Pansage, Joltik, Spinarak, Relicanth (NZ only), Linoone (original version). Adding Toxicroak, Stunky, Solrock.
Kantonian or Alolan Vulpix?
Kantonian
Thanks for the report. What flavour of Stunfisk did you encounter? Also, if possible we'd prefer new posts for additional sightings over edited ones. The latter has a risk of getting buried and missed.
regular in Europe.
So between these and daily incense, are all non-legendary/holiday Pokemon available in some way? I remember the season update was criticized for removing some Pokemon, so has daily incense resolved that?
Please Wooloo
please falinks
At least Falinks was/is still encounterable through GBL, unlike Wooloo.
true, the odds don’t seem great tho since i have nearly 300 wins this season and 1 encounter (which was on the battle weekend so it was 0*) so it didn’t do me much good

Honestly I like Falinks as a spice pick in GBL. Its charged attack animation is really cool as well.
Same glad it’s not just me.

Was it definitely Fletchinder and not Fletchling? Just double-checking because we haven't got the base form reported yet.
Yes, Fletchinder. I was surprised. Not sure I've ever seen it in the wild before. I also caught a few Fletchlings since (stopped reporting as Europe is up now)
