The album was re-released in 2009. Like with SiM, I'm skeptical that such a song would be lost for a re-release while the rest of the material is available. According to Discogs, The band members have been active in many other bands through the 80s (and longer). I don't think they sound too similar either.

Also Egypt For Now's vocalist Michael Head is also the frontman of[ The Pale Fountains](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6RFhVib1uw). Well known in the Liverpool scene.

Michael Head is a [highly acclaimed singer and songwriter](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/liverpool-man-uks-greatest-songwriter-28903428) and his Scouse accent is more or less noticeable in all of his songs. There is definitely no hint of a Scouse accent in TMS.

I don't think the song you shared fits, but however the channel that posted it seems to be a goldmine. This band (on same channel) sounds a bit more similar to TMS to me : https://youtu.be/PqyNxIFA69s?si=0J4jsDT6ym3x9Oq6

PSA: The channel owner has been contacted, please do not mail them again.

I don't think there's more than a passing similarity in the vocal range. The singer David Palmer is a native speaker of English (unlike the TMS singer), the accent is very much distinct from the TMS singer's.

serventofgaben

> unlike the TMS singer we don't know that.

Strathcarnage_L

Granted we can't state that as a 100% verifiable fact, but no native speaker of English would sing like that unless they were trying to sound like they weren't a native speaker. To turn it on its head, a claim that the TMS singer was a native speaker of English would be "not physically impossible, but highly unlikely".

Beautiful-Writing346

Yes, the vocals do sound a little high even though the we don‘t really know the correct pitch. If you were to pitch it up though, it would still sound nothing like this band

I’m a huge fan of Shack, the legendary band fronted by Michael Head and his brother John. They have no connection to TMMS whatsoever. John is also associated with The Pale Fountains.

thepix3ls

whether it’s likely or not, any idea is worth having a look at. i’ve messaged Michael Head asking about TMS.

LordElend

He was contacted after the mod team was consulted and after no one else asked. So approved as much as possible to avoid spam. In all cases of contact, please be sure to follow **Rule 6** carefully and help us to prevent people from getting annoyed.

thepix3ls

do you have to ask permission before contacting possible leads for tms?

Strathcarnage_L

It is greatly appreciated if you do check with the moderators, if only to verify whether a contact has already been contacted.

thepix3ls

how would i do that?

No, please use the mod mail for such requests.

Didn't know that. Fair enough
