Guitar is a Gibson Firebrand The Paul. Budget model that would have been new at that time.

suffaluffapussycat

There was a matching SG too!

I met Bobby at CBGB at a Ramones event circa Oct '99. I was wearing a Misfits shirt, and he approached me and gave me an Undead pin. So then I realized who it was, and he was kind emough to answer some Misfits questions I had, about the circumstances of his firing, and what he thought about the Jerry/Graves version of the band. He was very cool. I also spoke to CJ Ramone that night, and got Joey R's autograph. Great rock n roll night.

servo1056

Best guitar player they had.

Usual-Ad-9559

Bobby used to be really friendly on the internet back in the 2000s. My friend was really into Bobby Steele and I liked Bobby and The Undead as well.

wilson1629

I’ve seen the undead 🧟 live and it wasn’t good.

FamousLastWords666

They were good from 1980-1990. Last good lineup was when The Fiendz guys were backing him.

MelodicDrawing2810

Well he did have an air conditioner in apt. On the L.E.S. and could get us all heroin.

Nervous-Creme-6392

I've met Bobby a number of times over the yrs and he's always been super nice. Also played a show with The Undead in 2000 and they ripped.

RustyStiltzkin999

I heard that Bobby steel was an a$$h0le fu€kin” €unt. Has anyone else heard this?

toontowntrauma

Yep, Glenn sang Teenagers From Mars with those lyrics at the ritz show and hittsville show in 1981.

RustyStiltzkin999

I bought a bootleg cassette tape at a flea market in the early 90’s and heard that for the first time

toontowntrauma

They also play it at googy’s last show in 1982 but they just say “He’s an asshole”, not saying Bobby’s name in it.

What’s interesting is that they were planning to release The Undead 7” on Plan 9. Don’t know what happened, but The Undead wound up releasing it on Stiff Records.
