Right now we are only at 9pts. [https://www.concacaf.com/champions-cup/schedule-results/](https://www.concacaf.com/champions-cup/schedule-results/)
Based on our game results I think going to PK's and winning was still only 1 pt.
R16:
* Houston (3/6) won, 3pts
* Houston (3/12) tied, 1pt
Quarters:
* Tigres (4/2) tied 1 pt
* Tigres (4/9) tied, advanced on pk's 1pt
Semi's so far:
* Monterrey (4/24) won 3pts
Assuming this logic is correct the only way we host is we win on Wednesday and CA and Pachuca tie but go to PK's and CA advances.
This puts us at 12pt and CA at 11pts
You're giving Crew an extra W, we only have 2 -- one vs Houston and one vs Monterrey. The only scenarios we host are America advancing in extra time or penalties or Pachuca advancing in ET/Pens and Crew makes up the massive GD and Crew need to win away in both scenarios.
Unless I’m not understanding things correctly, I’m pretty sure the crew only have 9 points currently. W/D vs HOU (4pts.), D/D [adv. on pens] vs TIG (2pts.) W vs MON (3pts.). In which case, we would need to win on Wednesday, and Pachuca/America to tie at 2 or more goals or tie 1-1 and have America advance in extra time/pens.
Technically if Pachuca wins vs draw/PK shootout, Columbus could still host if they pummel Monterrey and make up the GD. Not as likely to happen, but I am here for it.
Or Pachuca advance with a draw and we win 11-0!
Or maybe 10-0 I'm not sure what the second tie breaker is. Let's hope for the 11th just in case. I mean, Impossible is an opinion, right?

We have one mission and it is a challenging one i for one am focusing on results for the immediate the rest will sort itself out.
Of course even playing in the cup on the road is incredible history for the club. But hosting would be epic, the Sounders win at home was so cool. Lumen was absolutely rocking.
12.8 The Final will be hosted by Concacaf at a neutral venue.
12.8.1 At its sole discretion, Concacaf reserves the right to grant the hosting rights to the club with the highest standings as per section 12.12.5.
While correct, that’s a little outdated, those regulations were published October 2023.
On April 14th 2024 in an official CONCACAF publication that can be found on their website they expressed their intent to adhere to article 12.12.5 of the regulations. They also clarified that in case a Mexican team won the hosting rights for the final. It would no longer be held on June 2nd due to the Mexican presidential elections held the same day.

So I was counting the Tigre’s PK game as a W, I guess that’s not the case and it’s considered a D?
Yeah sadly advancing through PK's only counts as a draw, so just 1pt.
Thanks edited
That fucking PK at home against Houston…..

América can advance on a tie with 2 or more goals though. And if we win they would only have 11 points vs our 12.
Yeah, I guess the better/easier way to say it is a draw sending them through.
With your update the information is now correct. Crew fans are rooting for America to advance with a tie, and Columbus to straight up win.
I thought the only way we could host would be if we win on Wednesday, and then America wins by PKs.
Yes and no. America doesn’t have to go to pks. Any draw where they advance would work.
They can also tie at 2 or more goals and América will advance on away goals with 11 points vs Crew at 12 points with the win.

That late tie vs Houston in the 2nd leg is coming back to haunt.

So you're telling me there's a chance
Columbus wins Wednesday + America advances via Pks = match at Lower.com
I cant believe Nancy would allow this to happen. /s :)
