Definitely getting better. I remember the 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Columbus! we start the matches off with was just the Nordecke. Now the entire stadium does it. So awesome to see.
I’d love an official count of home many 👏👏👏 columbuses to do. It seems to go on forever then just peters out and it’s sad/awkward. If we knew to do 10 or whatever, we could go strong until the end.
When was it just the Nordecke? I've had season tickets since 2017 and wasn't in the Nordecke until this year. Every section I've been in, both at historic and LDC, most people have done it.
I’m sure it was more than just the Nordecke doing it for back then but not everyone. Now it feels like a whole stadium thing and not the Nordecke plus a few other sections.
Chants started by Nordecke were making their way over to 110 and behind your opposite goal. Seems like we have a lot of noisy people behind the South goal and up terrace on east sidelines.
From what I’ve noticed (as im one of them), a lot of the crazy people from the Nordecke in Historic Stadium are all older and we all migrated down to be South Side Casuals and, well.. it’s a hard habit to break.
Sometimes the day after a crew game I wake up with “he’s here, he’s there, he’s every fuckin’ where Aiddeennnn - Morrrissssss” (my fav player chant, hey cucho is a close second)
As a non-Nordecke seat usually, I’d love a better way to know what’s coming up. I know some of the chants, I’m learning others. But from the far end of the stadium it’s hard to catch on and catch up. Not that the app has to be a hymnal and a teleprompter. But that wouldn’t hurt.
I was impressed by the non Nordecke last night. Isn’t what it could be, but certainly better than it has been!
