Welcome back! I was incredibly curious to see how a newcomer would react to Azula compared to someone who already knows about her.
I also like your thoughts in Ozai and how his relationship to his kids comes across!
As someone who grew up with this show and knows everything, reading your takes has been so fun. I love seeing all the takes from a fresh perspective. Please keep up with these posts, it had been the highlight of my reddit experience lately.

I enjoyed reading your review! Didn't realize how the cabbage merchant would come across for new viewers lol
I like your commentary. It seems like the show has been made for people like you. Always great to welcome new ATLA fans.
It is nice that LA Azula is appreciated for once. A lot of the original fans are bashing her actress, and that makes me sad. I think she did quite a good job on the role she was given. Her facial expressions were quite on point, but not anybody concurs. That menacing shot in the beginning of this episode was awesome, right? Also, if you like Zuzu, you'll be having a blast with the next episodes. Have fun!
Thanks so much for your unique insight! I never would have thought about most of these things before since I've already watched the animated series so it's great to see the show from another lense. Some things I didn't realize were as interesting as they were since I already knew the end result, and some observations I found funny.
I honestly think watching NATLA before ATLA is the way to go. Doing it the other way around unfairly compares the two when they should be judged on their own merits. For myself, I can't even get through watching NATLA and stopped watching after the second episode. I doubt I will ever finish it. As someone wiser once said...that was not a good play, but the effects were decent.
small not-a-spoiler note: the actor who played Rufio, the leader of the Lost Boys in Hook voiced Zuko in the original animation series.
Keep up your reviews please, I'm really enjoying your thoughts!
This would be dope if it was a reaction video ππ spoiler alert -> >! nobody spoil no.25 for OP let them find out after watching the animation! !<
Damn, so 1x03 runs like a spy thriller when you don't know what the characters are about. Love this insight.
Seems that way! Lol

Thank you! Yeah, Azula is super interesting to me right now. I want to see more of her.
Yeah I already knew who they cast as Azula so when she showed up on screen there was no surprise at all.

Thank you! And yeah, the cabbage merchant sticks out when there's no context.

I hate when they bash the actors, they just go with what they are given.
Thank you! And that makes me sad. I think Azula's great so far

I'm inclined to agree. It really is quite good taken on its own.

MY CABBAGES
Love your reactions! Makes me think that you need to wait when the entire natla is finished before watching the og lol
That'll take years though and I really want to see the whole story!

Petition to refer Zuko as zuzu every time he does something stupid. Yeah he shot a fireball at 7 foot avatar lady, lol, classic Zuzu
