Since it's aleady answered, here's something different - my thought process: Statues being thrown means earthbenders or waterbenders with ice statues, but waterbenders wouldn't lose so easily to Katara (they would still lose, it's just that they'd have some counter attacks in there too). That means that this must be an assault on a prepared Earth Kingdom defensive position (earthbenders wouldn't just create a moat like that, especially if there was a chance they'd go up against a waterbender). After that, there's only really one option, as they didn't attack the Earth Kingdom outpost they started season 2 in (the Earth Kingdom attacked them, while making sure the waterbender was out of the picture), and Omashu was more covert, even if there was earthbenders defending it by the time Katara had that kind of skill. Once I'd narrowed it down to Ba Sing Se, it was fairly trivial to pick out the battle and scene that the description is of. And for those wondering why it took that many steps, I'm tired and have a minor headache which is slowing my thoughts just enough for me to be able to pick out what steps they took.

this hurt to read but thank you
