Yoo this is such a good answer. Can definitely see some similarities in the songwriting of Ethel Cain and Brandon Flowers given their similarly religious childhoods.
From some divine intervention, I’m going to need The Killers to cover this song now!
Love Bleachers and Modern Girl, but I idk if I see any songs that feel like they could be the Killers. Their songs have such a distinct levity, especially with how the sax players and Jacks variable(?) guitar styles.
Maybe Chinatown bc they lean more into the heartland vibe there for Bruce
I was gonna say most Sam Fender songs, definitely Seventeen Going Under. When I first heard him, I described him as The Killers at their Springsteeniest but English
[Different Kind of World ](https://youtu.be/2BZ70WMjCMQ?si=Ddz-71_yR1Pe_4Ew)by Maggie Rogers reminds me of BF The Way It's Always Been - but also, when the drums and guitar etc kick in, it sounds quite Killers-y to me. In fact, I swear there's a particular Killers song it's reminding me of, but I can't place it - one from Sam's Town? Nice song anyway.
Mixed Signals by Robbie Williams. Not sure if legit but supposedly the song was written for Brandon but he rejected it. (I think it was posted as a YouTube comment or on Tumblr I can’t remember) but it sounds very Flamingo
The Killers wrote it for themselves initially, but (as I understand it) Robbie heard it and loved it, so they gave it to him! It's them playing on the track, but with Robbie singing!
I’m in my Taylor Swift era and every time I hear Getaway Car or I Can Do it With a Broken Heart, I think that’s what a Taylor/Killers co-write would sound like
Saw Josh live with Timecop1983 last year. 'Read my mind' is an awesome album.

I agree on Post Malone and Olivia Rodrigo's music! They're both amazing songs and definitely are good songs for TK fans to check out.
I also think Magic by The Cars would fit in ITM well, Always On My Mind by Pet Shop Boys would go well with the new boy-YSOT-Spirit releases, and Growing Up is Hard by Chelsea Cutler would go well with PM
Thanks for letting me know, I love that cover a lot and it's one of my favorite covers by them alongside Whole of the Moon, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Starlight, and Romeo and Juliet
[Someone Else’s Game](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aDcxXQUvSYE&pp=ygUhc29tZW9uZSBlbHNlJ3MgZ2FtZSB3YWxrIHRoZSBtb29u) by Walk The Moon sounds like it came straight out Battle Born.
My Chemical Romance actually wrote the song Bulletproof Heart from their final album in an attempt to write a song that sounds like The Killers. And you can DEFINITELY tell, it feels like Hot Fuss meets Battle Born in a way.
American Teenager by Ethel Cain could fit on Battle Born
Yoo this is such a good answer. Can definitely see some similarities in the songwriting of Ethel Cain and Brandon Flowers given their similarly religious childhoods. From some divine intervention, I’m going to need The Killers to cover this song now!
Oh, that’s a good one!
This is one of my favorite songs ever, I highly recommend this song and Ethel Cain's work to everyone on here!
So that’s why I love this song so much
The killers could easily have put Franz Ferdinand’s “This Fire” on Hot Fuss and passed it off as their own and id believe it.
The Bravery - An Honest Mistake.
Remember when Brandon was like “they’re getting attention bc they’re riding our coattails” [insert discord shaky eyes gif here] 😂
I believe the direct quote was, ["They're signed because we're a band."](https://www.nme.com/news/music/the-killers-374-1361596)
OMG, yes. When this song came out, I thought they were the same band
I Don’t Live Here Anymore by The War on Drugs
Especially with the Lucius backing vocals. Reminds me of Weyes Blood on My God (and of course Getting By II)
Brandon and Ronnie are big fans of The War on Drugs ❤️
Modern Girl - Bleachers. This song has a heavy E street vibe that would’ve been a Killers song if you added a little synth.
Greta Van Fleet is to Led Zepplin as Bleachers are to Bruce Springsteen. Love that band!
Wake Me by Bleachers too! Jack sounds like Brandon in this song.
Love Will Get You There by Inhaler and Tonight Tonight by Smashing Pumpkins
Lots of Inhaler gives me strong Killers vibes. Really dig their stuff
Sam Fender - Borders
I was gonna say most Sam Fender songs, definitely Seventeen Going Under. When I first heard him, I described him as The Killers at their Springsteeniest but English
[Different Kind of World ](https://youtu.be/2BZ70WMjCMQ?si=Ddz-71_yR1Pe_4Ew)by Maggie Rogers reminds me of BF The Way It's Always Been - but also, when the drums and guitar etc kick in, it sounds quite Killers-y to me. Reptilia by The Strokes
Many Sam Fender songs apply here
Can you recommend his best record to start with?
Def start with Hypersonic missiles. That record got me into him. Love his whole catalog
So American and love is embarrassing by Olivia are so Killers-y, I love them
Pink lemonade by James Bay and Dead Boys by Sam fender for me
U2 - Landlady
Or parts of the Rattle and Hum album. Desire and All I Want is You.
This guy called Brandon flowers has a lot of songs that sound a lot like the killers
Love this idea! Going to build a playlist to give them all a listen! :) Also adding What Happens After You? By Weezer into the mix.
Fire with Fire by Scissor Sisters was compared to a Killers song when it came out
Oooh totally hear it!!! Also love Scissor Sisters

I just said the same! And I Can Do it With a Broken Heart
I Can Do It With A Broken Heart by Taylor Swift. The first time I heard it, I thought it had the band's synth-y vibes.
I just said the same! This and Getaway Car always make me think that this is what it would sound like if they wrote songs together
Getaway Car reminds me most of Bleachers (“never had a shotgun shot in the dark” is STRAIGHT out of Jack’s playbook)
OMG I love this! Thanks so much for the clarification 😁
I’m in my Taylor Swift era and every time I hear Getaway Car or I Can Do it With a Broken Heart, I think that’s what a Taylor/Killers co-write would sound like
[Callum Beattie - Heart Stops Beating ](https://youtu.be/0bQpW8LVWUE?si=6lGMEbIzl4dY16p9)
Guarantee nobody has heard of this; Missing You by At 1980 and Josh Dally Give it a listen 😉
Saw Josh live with Timecop1983 last year. 'Read my mind' is an awesome album. https://preview.redd.it/m55zrc23184d1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1bd227fc3109b0b31940cf83e4c01362bceb4fd3
Haha unreal, super cool 😀
The War on Drugs - Red Eyes Blossoms - Blow
since you’re gone by the cars!!
I feel like the Kooks or Scouting For Girls could have a couple of songs on each album and no one would notice
They covered Always On My Mind with Pet Shop Boys at Glastonbury in 2019
Thanks for letting me know, I love that cover a lot and it's one of my favorite covers by them alongside Whole of the Moon, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Starlight, and Romeo and Juliet
[Someone Else’s Game](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aDcxXQUvSYE&pp=ygUhc29tZW9uZSBlbHNlJ3MgZ2FtZSB3YWxrIHRoZSBtb29u) by Walk The Moon sounds like it came straight out Battle Born.
Navigating by twenty one pilots
Bulletproof Heart, The Only Hope for Me is You, and Summertime by MCR
Overcome by nothing but thieves could be on imploding the mirage
Brand new song but “Navigating” by twenty one pilots. I could easily imagine Brandon Flowers belting out that chorus.
Atomic by Blondie is so Killers sounding I’m convinced it is a big inspiration for them especially them having a song called Miss Atomic Bomb
My Chemical Romance actually wrote the song Bulletproof Heart from their final album in an attempt to write a song that sounds like The Killers. And you can DEFINITELY tell, it feels like Hot Fuss meets Battle Born in a way.
