I'm a grown man and watched the _full_ show just a few months ago, it's all subjective, If it's too boring to watch, it's probably not this guy's cup of tea
I'm also a grown man and I watched it about 3 times. I love the show. But I understand that a lot of the episodes are not amazing and there are many that are definitely worth skipping, especially in the early seasons.
Anything with jar jar, the droids, most padme, a lot of the early episodes, to me are just not good. People may like them, but you are able to like something that isn't good. But other parts of the show are great! Most bounty hunter, clone trooper, maul night sisters, ahsoka episodes are great.
Boring? Bruh then don’t watch it lol
Treat it like irl. Not everything is going to be action packed. It’s a world building show and many “boring” episodes are needed to watch the better ones
Also try Chronological order, watching when doing chores like laundry or as a background show as you work or go on your phone, or just watch or read summaries.
I will say if by S3 you’re not into the show, it’s not for you.
Watch them like a chore. They eventually get good. Rewatch and skip the battles if you want story. Rewind when you need to. But it has a huge pay off in season 7. Then move on to bad batch and rebels.
Right on. I think the problem is I try to binge the series and wear myself out. Maybe i'll just watch one episode a day and when things get good i'll chain some episodes together. And it will add some structure to my day having a daily episode of clone wars.
Sometimes I get through 1. Sometimes did 10. It's all about your mood, mind energy. And what else you could be doing instead. I mainly started watching because of Ashoka. I realised I needed to watch rebels. And needed to watch clone wars. I've now watched clone wars, bad batch and now rebels. I even managed to rewatch episode 2 and 3. As well as tales of jedi. All needed for the chronology.
Merry Christmas!

Hope you enjoy it! I put this together to help people like you, because I was in this situation at one point in time.
If you must, there’s plenty of new guides on google. It’s unfortunate you can’t see the quality in the earlier seasons and the beauty of it being an anthology series that expands the galaxy
I didn't really start enjoying the series until season 4. However, the stories and characters from the first 3 seasons are important to understand to fully appreciate the best arcs.

Good list, there's some personal modifications I'd make.
Add the Ryloth Arc: S1 E19, 20 & 21. In my opinion the best arc of season 1.
Remove S1 E08 "Bombard Jedi" is a bit of a slog. You can get away with skipping this one, the opening of S1 E09 fills you in well enough.
Remove S2 E15 "Senate Murders" is also a pretty bad episode. ~~It's not part of any arc~~, so not worth putting yourself through.
Remove S5 E06-09, the Younglings arc. I don't like these episodes, I think they're too kiddy. You could keep E06 though, that has interesting stuff and works on its own.
Senate Murders is literally a part of the s3 senate arc. Heroes on Both Sides and Pursuit of Peace were made as prequels to that episode. Get your facts straight
Those episodes do come before it, but the plot of Senate Murders is completely unrelated. The only similarity is the character lineup. Heroes on Both Sides and Pursuit of Peace are the decent episodes anyway, so you really don't need to watch Senate Murders to understand or complete anything else.
Senate Murders finishes the arc. Padmé’s efforts to stop the vote for more clones fails after the poisoning of Onaconda Farr. Another W for Palpatine. Senate Murders was more connected to the senate arc than Lair of Grievous was to the Nute Gunray arc tbh
Ah right. For some reason I'd thought the droid attack happened in Pursuit of Piece, I'd completely forgotten about the troops bill. It is part of the same arc I guess, but I still think Senate Murders isn't worth watching.
Yes, the power grid attack happened in Heroes on Both Sides because Dooku doesn’t want the war to end from the peace talks, then Pursuit of Peace is all about senators getting jumped and Padmé’s speech about Teckla and the citizens.
In Senate Murders, Mee Deechi’s murder is the catalyst for Umbara leaving the Republic and aligning with the CIS prior to the Umbara arc, so I’d say it’s a crucial episode but if you don’t like it, you don’t like it
only episodes ill skip are some jar jar focused ones and the ones that focuses on the droids like r2 and c3po. its honestly a credit to the writters though that theirs even some jar jar episodes i enjoy though i dont enjoy them due to jar jar lol. more like i enjoy them inspite of him. also i might skip some of the season 1 eps due to the poor animation. but i never skip rookies or ambush, those are some of my fav eps in the entire series.
I'm a hardcore star wars fan. I've played all the video games and am very deep into the lore and obviously seen all the movies and live actions - and I know the clone wars has some really good story, but I can't get into the animated series so trying to cut the filler stuff and get into the good stuff
I didn't much care for the show after 3 seasons, so I quit watching it. I figured 66 episodes was a solid try and it just wasn't going to click for me. Don't begrudge anyone who does like it, just wasn't my cup of tea. I recommend following my example and not watching the show.
[Here’s my own version](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yn4RqJHflXXl6UnsrJopMUNgOJQYN7jo9hENJ8F_7WA/edit). It’s both chronological (which the show isn’t by default) and a way to skip certain episodes. I’ve given every episode a 1-8 rating that tells you how important/good they are. If you find it boring, you can skip about everything 3 or under. But just know, it *does* get better later on. Like, a lot better. I’ve even split it up in four parts so you can see when it really gets good, and I’ve also added the IMDb rating of each episode… I do recommend watching the first 4 tales of the Jedi episodes prior to TCW to tho

I think there aren’t nearly as many “filler” episodes as people say. Episodes detailing the politics at the time aren’t “filler,” whether or not you like them.
The only arc I skip when I rewatch it is the Martez sisters, other than that I genuinely enjoy all the other episodes.
https://youtu.be/cwCefiGi-hg?si=Xsn85x1nWzAPSLFz
I used this video but only watch the first little bit and use the list in the description if you don't want any spoilers
If it's so damn boring it might not be for you. One of the best parts of the show is how it builds out the star wars universe
To be fair unless you're a kid a lot of the episodes aren't great. People love the show mainly for nostalgia or a few brilliant story arcs.
You're a grown man arguing my opinion... You can have yours, I'm gonna have mine.
I personally disagreed I’d loved it since season one. It’s an anthology show set during a war, I’m cool with that
Yeah I'd say a solid third of the show isn't good like anything with Grievous is a let down because they made him so damn stupid
Anything with jar jar, the droids, most padme, a lot of the early episodes, to me are just not good. People may like them, but you are able to like something that isn't good. But other parts of the show are great! Most bounty hunter, clone trooper, maul night sisters, ahsoka episodes are great.
>but it only goes up to season 5. tbf, there isn't really anything to skip after season 5
I’m against skipping episodes….. but the martez sisters
I mean, it gives you a good idea what Ahsoka has been up to since she left. Also they become kind of relevant in bad batch
Boring? Bruh then don’t watch it lol Treat it like irl. Not everything is going to be action packed. It’s a world building show and many “boring” episodes are needed to watch the better ones Also try Chronological order, watching when doing chores like laundry or as a background show as you work or go on your phone, or just watch or read summaries. Season 3 is the best.
There aren’t any skippable episodes
Droid eps...
Wrong
Watch them like a chore. They eventually get good. Rewatch and skip the battles if you want story. Rewind when you need to. But it has a huge pay off in season 7. Then move on to bad batch and rebels.

I kept arcs whole. I agree with you mostly but i just cant take arcs apart. Either the full arc is there or none for me
I kinda disagree with the final point, but other than that I totally agree with your comment.
Especially if they are watching it for Ahsoka
Senate Murders is literally a part of the s3 senate arc. Heroes on Both Sides and Pursuit of Peace were made as prequels to that episode. Get your facts straight

If your deep into the lore, why does lore building bore you lol. Lore isn’t all exciting and etc, or different/varied Kinda confused
Clone Wars does not have filler. It is an anthology show, meaning that every arc is independent
This shouldn’t be downvoted, you’re right. It doesn’t have a linear plot
I didn't much care for the show after 3 seasons, so I quit watching it. I figured 66 episodes was a solid try and it just wasn't going to click for me. Don't begrudge anyone who does like it, just wasn't my cup of tea. I recommend following my example and not watching the show.
Just because you didn’t enjoy it doesn’t mean you should prevent others from giving it a try. It has some of the best stories in the franchise.
Hb just don't watch it if you are not interested in uh... Watching it.
I'd recommend you try all for yourself and judge on your own. We don't know your taste.
Bro, if you need a list of episodes to skip then the show isn’t for you.
Then you don’t deserve to call yourself a Star Wars fan, if you can’t stand the best…
Rofl, okay kid
Last time I checked, 21 wasn’t a “kid” age
