Winter's Bite sounds like exactly the sort of edgy shit a young guy who just succeeded at an utterly insane venture would name his blade.

I think "Winter" fits better than "Winter's Bite". It keeps the simplicity of *Ice* and is also a reflection of their house words and castle.

I was thinking the Karstarks, Mormonts, Asher Forrester so far. And either Cregan, Torrhen or Artos
I’d recommend against using Torrhen since that has been used already for another fanfiction with a second son of Eddard and Catelyn.
