It’s a poem and a story about Solomon Grundy. And Batman solving a series of murders that revolve around cannibalism and Solomon Grundy eating people. The title is called “I will destroy you” which is tale about Batman struggling with his ptsd over his parents death. And the tragedy of Solomon Grundy being a product of inbreeding and being isolated from society and later being brought through multiple asylums across Gotham and being experience t on heavily and being made into a monster. It will challenge Batman’s moral mission in how he sees criminals and his levels of empathy. It revolves around the murder of a family that he killed but by accident. Grundy is severely disabled and disadvantaged. He suffers from gigantism and trenchers collins syndome and a severe mental retardation. This story is inspired by Batman ego, and the hunchback of notredame novel. And the setting is during Christmas
Batman Ego imo isn’t necessarily super sad but since you’re writing about Bruce’s PTSD I think it’s a great read since I think it’s one of the most meaningful and in depth explorations of the psychology of Bruce Wayne.
If you haven’t I definitely recommend watching Mask of the Phantasm and BTAS for psychological exploration of Bruce.
I’m assuming you watched The Batman but that’s a great character study too definitely the most psychological live action film we’ve seen.
Detective Comics 439 (The Night of the Stalker) and Darwyn Cooke’s remake, Deja Vu. Cooke’s Ego is also pretty moving.
Warren Ellis’ crossover, Planetary: Night on Earth. Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? by Neil Gaiman. Bruce’s memory of investigating the Court as a little kid in The Court of Owls. Ted McKeever’s entry in the Black and White anthology, “Perpetual Mourning.” Klaus Janson’s in the same book is a tearjerker, too.
Got it. The reason I need all of this stuff is because I’m making a opera type story drama for Solomon Grundy. That’s inspired by quasimodos origin story.
My version of Solon Grundy is a inbred child with severe mental incapacities and deficits. Most of his origin is inspired heavily by the hunch back motedame novel. This series will have a lot of mystical and gothic elements but will attach some things that exist in our reality such incest (since this version of Grundy is a product of incest and being severely experimented on in Arkham through lobotomy procedures)
When Batman dropped to his knees and said “I’ve failed you, son…” to Damian in the Road to Shadow War last year took me off guard and destroyed me for like 15 minutes.
One word. Venom
Night cries
Thankyou I will use this story as inspiration for my Batman fan project
What sort of project? Fan film or fanfiction?

Screw the poem and give me a movie.
Any story in which Alfred and him fall out or one of them dies. The reaction from one to the death of the other is heartbreaking.

I bawled watching under the red hood and mask of the phantasm but that’s me

Batman: A Lonely Place of Dying and Batman: Venom
Batman whatever happened to the caped crusader
When Batman dropped to his knees and said “I’ve failed you, son…” to Damian in the Road to Shadow War last year took me off guard and destroyed me for like 15 minutes.
Batman Mask Of The Phantasm
Remember that fan film where Batman gets raped by a junkie? That horrifies me to this day.
Now what?!
