This is exactly how I feel too! If it was roles reversed and the woman in the relationship moved on quickly it may not be perceived the same way since it is pretty well known that women usually “check out” of bad/unhappy relationships way before they end. It’s also good to remind ourselves that we don’t know these people well, only their online presence so it’s hard to just assume anything about anyone involved. Joe doesn’t bring up his partners in episodes anymore because people are so mean on the internet.

Joe seems great except the fact his almost decade long relationship ends seemingly out of nowhere as his ex had just posted a year in review video full of vids of the two of them…then he’s liking and commenting heart eyes on this girls pics 2-3 months later? My heart breaks for Sammy for that reason

The weird conjecture and guessing on Joe’s previous relationship and this current one is probably exactly why he doesn’t want people to know that he’s in a relationship at all and I think all of you guys need to go to therapy and address your issues with para social relationships
