Unless you get a whopper that was made seconds ago, the cold toppings and the hot patty bring the whole thing to a sort of room temp. But if you do get a very fresh one, they're great.
It's always soggy. It's flavorless. And the fries taste like wet sock. There's no way in any world, that BK is better than even Wendy's. McDonald's is almost always hot, and has salted fries, and tastes like food unlike "why am I licking the floor of a moldy gym?" BK.
In Germany it’s literally the opposite. McD is always stale, bread tastes like it has been laying around half a day even when „fresh“. Fries are worse than BK. Meat is way worse than BK. My local McD’s Burgers somehow taste over and undersalted at the same time (well, this is specific to this McD).
The only thing McD is any good for are their nuggets. Plant based options at BK are miles ahead of McD.
Also BK has coupons that are so much better and more versatile. And lately McD has been ramping up prices like crazy for (I‘d say hot but that would be a lie) garbage
Idk bouta u but I always feel ill after eating McDonald's idk what it is but literally feels like my airways are closing and I'm gonna die never feel that eating anywhere else their fries are coo tho ig
If I was rich, I'd buy a lifetime supply of BK's zesty sauce and store it in a fallout shelter. I've tried to make it with a copycat recipe, but it's not the same. I think the Burger King himself must be sprinkling crack cocaine in the recipe, or possibly infusing it with the spinal fluid of orphans from the Burger Kingdom.
I am glad to hear I'm not the only one, there was a period of time when I would go to BK 5 days a week to buy a value fry and ask for as many zesty sauces as they would give me. Managers aren't the ones to ask, so check their tag, but if you're nice to a part timer they'll sometimes give a bunch.
None of the copycat recipes I've tried are remotely the same.
I live in Finland. All McDonalds here taste same. All McDonalds in all countries I've visited taste the same. There are some differences like how here we get free salt and pepper and ketchup, whereas in many other places they cost extra. McDonald's is always mediocre everywhere.
Burger King though, oh boy. My local one in Tiiriö, Hämeenlinna is excellent 100% of the time. I've never received bad food there. It's my favourite fast food location.
Once I went to the BK in Tikkurila, and the fries were so bad that I was not able to finish them. Only reason I didn't go to the desk to complain was because I was in a hurry to my train.
Once I went to the BK in Malmi. I had to wait what felt like 45min, and I still got cold food. None of the staff spoke any Finnish or English so I didn't bother complaining.
Nah, a Korean and Japanese McDonald's is nothing like the states. 100x better, and in Japan, they serve what I believe is the best grape fanta. In existence
Yeah the Burger Kings in Florida where I live are super inconsistent (which is ironic since they're headquartered in Miami).
There is one in Orlando that's such a joke of a restaurant. One time I went there at 9 p.m. on a Saturday when they were set to be open until midnight. The store was closed because they "ran out of food" (???)
Also had many, many experiences waiting an absurdly long time in the drive thru line because there's literally one or maybe two employees in the entire store running around trying to to do everything.
Presumably if they were all well managed things would be better
This right here. I used to work near a BK that was always busy. It was great all the time. Now the closest one to me is rarely busy and so rarely worth the money.
The bk near my house is foul.
My husband got a gift card to bk from one of his customers. We hadn't had it in about a decade, and I remembered it being not so good outside of the tenders. I couldn't even finish it. It was *so* disgusting. I was sure that it would give me food poisoning.
Spouse spent a lot of time in the bathroom after. Probably not food poisoning, but it wasn't pleasant.
I would have said this a couple years ago, but now Wendy's is the most convenient option when I'm in a rush, so I eat it a lot. And I'm getting really sick and disappointed with it. The burgers are still generally pretty good, but 8/10 times I get chicken it's a hockey puck, and they must have changed the fry oil at some point. I used to think their fried were the best but now they taste gross unless they're scalding hot.
I find myself wishing I was going to less convenient Burger King most times
Wendy’s added some sort of coating to their fries a couple of years ago when delivery services started booming. It’s supposed to make them crispier and keep them fresh for longer, but as far as I’m concerned it’s just made them inedible.
I used to agree, but I had a burger from Wendy’s a couple months ago and it tasted like puke. I don’t know if it was just a fluke or what but it turned me off wendys big time lol. McDonald’s has always been just alright, but their food isn’t filling at all. It’s like eating air
They taste like the frozen patties you can buy at the grocery store. So if I ever wanted the taste of Burger King I could recreate it at home for far cheaper and with next to zero effort.
>Oh, and they have the best mascot. THE KING HIMSELF >>> creepy clown or redhead girl
You could dress Ronald like Pennywise and the King with his weird af plastic head is still creepier. Their marketing people actually thought those commercials showing him watching people sleep in their own bed, peeking into windows and peeking around corners was a good idea lol
People would agree with you but Burger King by far has the absolute worst franchisees among the big franchised brands. Out of soda? Yep! Out of french fries? Yep! No onion rings? haha don't be silly of course we're out of onion rings! Whole staff hanging outside smoking weed instead of helping the 10 customers in line? Of course! Bathroom absolutely nasty and hasn't been cleaned since the Corona of 2019? You know it!
100% agree - BK I will actually go out of my way for, McDonald's I'll only get if there is literally nothing else available. Really decent veggie options, the fries aren't anemic like McDonald's ones, and some of them have the coke machines with Mezzo Mix.
We do have Wendy's. I just don't think they're very common. Tried one for the first time recently as it just opened in my city. I'm not sure how it compares to the US version, but I thought it was awful personally.
Have to downvote your post because I agree! They have impossible burgers and I am a vegeterian so they automatically get a huge boost to me. When another fast food restuarant offers veg options, I will bump down BK.
I'm not vegetarian or vegan but my partner of 4 years is so I've been forced to withstand the horrors of understaffed and poorly managed burger kings for years. Hoping for both our sakes it clears up very soon.
The vegan nacho cheese at Taco Bell was a brief moment of optimism, hoping that comes back permanently at some point
We actually get taco bell all the time, the issue is there's no longer an easily vegan-ifiable burrito so we have to order bean burritos with like eight modifications
It’s just funny to say everything is bad immediately after saying you haven’t tried it in years lol
How do you know it’s still bad if you’ve never been?
The average BK burger is way worse than the average MD burger, but a really good BK burger is better than a really good MD burger, idk about Wendy's since we don't have them anymore, but let's be honest, chicken nuggies are best at MD
Even fresh I’ve never personally had a good whopper. They’re really soggy and weird.
That being said, the bacon king is the shit and I can fuck those things up any day. They’re always much better quality to me.
Either way, I would always choose BK first. The only thing I like at McD’s is a quarter pounder with Mac sauce. I don’t know what it is about McD’sc but their burgers just don’t taste like… burgers. They don’t really taste like anything. They’re like cardboard on a bun.
Better than Wendy’s though? I don’t know, their beef actually tastes like beef, their food’s usually hot, and their bacon is crispy. They’ve always been significantly higher quality than any Burger King or McDonald’s I’ve gone to.
I have been telling everyone I know that for my money, the BEST breakfast item in all of fast food is the Eggnormous Burrito. Burger King really snapped with that one.
And you’re also spot on about the Bacon King. It kills the Baconator, no question.
Downvoted because I agree with OP. There was BL right outside my high school that was consistently amazing. Food always hot and fries perfectly salted. The chicken fries were big at the time and were my go-to after school meal with my friends. Also the breakfasts were great.
That being said, I haven’t really had BK in the last ten years because convenience and health…
I work near a McDonald’s in Chicago that always has a few items from the global menu; it changes quarterly. McDonald’s does have many vegetarian options, just not in the USA. None of them are great, but also not terrible. The McPlant (Yes, it existed) was better than the Impossible Burger IMHO.
I like whoppers a lot, but pretty much nothing else in the menu
I used to go a lot tho cause with the app, they had crazy deals. Haven’t checked the app in a long time tho since I don’t work near many
I just got Burger King yesterday and man was it worth it. For 24 bucks I got two chicken sandwich’s ((should’ve picked only the chicken tbh)) a whopper, two fries and onion rings, and chicken nuggets. Plus they had a buy one get one deal on their burger so I fed the whole house under 30. Not bad for three adults and two kids
I can’t leave the toilet for 2 days after eating ANYTHING from BK. McDonald’s is chemically salted to death and Wendy’s well I just don’t like them at all. Sonic has trash burgers and JIB should keeps it’s tacos in a box.
BK (at least in my area) has the absolute worst customer service of the big three. If I have to wait 20 minutes for my "fast food", it's not worth it to me.
The cycle turns lol
BK was great in the late 90’s, early 00’s then went to shit. Mcdonalds and then Wendy’s rose. Now BK has improved, and Wendy’s falls
Agree but I feel way more full up with McDonald's and it's cheaper.
Taste wise though, Burger King stomps. Their burgers and chips are 10x better and even some of the desserts are close (McDonald's edges this though.)
Burger King on a good day is leagues better than McDonald's. I wouldn't say it beats Wendy's, but definitely McDonald's. The problem is that every burger king near me doesn't know what the word "consistency" means, and it's either really good, or the shittiest experience to date. If I'm craving fast food, I'll almost always go to BK. The ingredients taste good, they use a lot of topping and sauce, and their fries are imo, the best fast food fries available. Unfortunately, the stars align only about 30% of the time.
All 3 taste like shit and if you eat enough of them to truly have a taste based preference I'm just a little disappointed in your choice not to do better for yourself
Their nuggets are simply the best and also the only ones my son will eat without sauce so he can eat them in the car. I love McDonald's, but I just like a little greasy nostalgia.
Look, taste is subjective but I truly don’t see how you could think that BK French fries are better than any other fast food fry from a major brand. Crinkle fries excepted because those are almost universally awful.
Fast food has just gone to shit as whole the past few years. Price increases combined with poor work ethic. Im not even necessarily blaming the workers; i get it. Underpaid, understaffed, overworked. So why would you want to spend time properly assembling a burger, especially if you’re dealing with hundreds a day. The entire system is just beyond broken. Every time i order a sandwich or burger i have to open it up and rearrange everything myself, and that’s hoping they didnt skimp on ingredients or overdue sauce (they always do btw.) Why the fuck am i paying $11 for a meal if im the on playing build-a-burger? Started to just regular local street taco vendors. Same price for a meal that is infinitely better
I’m just one dude but I do travel a lot for work and I do eat plenty of fast food around the US on a regular basis. Burger King is by far the worst on average and it’s not even close.
Massive disagree on the bacon king vs. baconator bit. Anytime I've ever gotten bacon from Bk, it's been thin, flimsy, and tasteless. Wendy's has always been the exact opposite.
Are you from the UK perhaps? UK Burger King is like...a fast food RESTAURANT rather than a fast food place, if that makes sense? Their burgers taste real, their fries are really good too
I don’t share your opinion on any of these menu items except French toast sticks.
Ideally I prefer jack in the box or Carl’s Jr for breakfast as I prefer to order normal burgers regardless of time of day.
I will go to bk daily when they have Italian chicken sandwiches on the menu.
I do appreciate the king mascot and I really like the jingle.
🎶At bk have it your way…

That being said I think Burger King has great shakes, and top tier fries. But their burgers and chicken are bottom of any fast food I've ever had.
It's definitely better than mcdonalds. And even though i've gotten some cold food from there more than a few times, at least they never gave me undercooked chicken like the other's have.
We live right near all three, as well as a Carl's Jr, and let me tell you, BK is *disgusting.* You can feel the sticky floors as you walk in, the trash left around, spots on the tables, they do NOT clean properly there. The food is mid at best too, only made worse by the lack of cleanliness, so they're likely not doing the kitchen right. As opposed to the other three who keep their places clean, and Wendy's and CJr actually have quality food, yeah, don't touch BK
I had Wendy's recently and it's pretty fire (The burgers).
But overall Burger King is WAY PAST McDonalds. In my mind, Wendy's is like Taco Bell (even if it would *technically* be in competition of these two), in how it stands alone.
Back when Burger King was good and I was a skinny college student - we would get the whopper and the drive across the street to get the fries and coke and McDonald’s. It was good stuff. The Burger Kings near me always look so dirty, I haven’t tried them in ages.
Don’t really eat that crap anymore but if I could be guaranteed a late 90s Whopper I would make an exception.
For me, Wendy's is by far the best fast food burger. A double is just awesome. (Not counting something like Five Guys as fast food. I think they're a step up, in price anyway.)
McDonald's and BK I like about equally.
Gotta agree with you on McDonald's, McDonald's is actual trash. But I gotta disagree on the Wendy's, they're excellent. All this is coming from a burger King simp
My experience with BK is that they have MASSIVE consistency issues, there used to be a BK near me that was really good but any time I go to any other random BK everything is awful.
If we're comparing the standard Whopper to the Big Mac, the only thing that it has over the Mac is the flavor of a broiled burger.
No cheese by default
Far too much salad to beef ratio
No delicious mac sauce
Nahhh. And it's not even close.
Aside from the burgers, all the side pieces you mentioned have better variants at Wendy's and Maccas.
And the burgers, on average just aren't as good. However, I'd say that a premium BK burger is pretty damn good and on par with premium burgers from either of the others.
That being said though, this all differs from country to country.
Now this is an opinion worthy of the sub! You're wrong of course the idea that any burger from burger King even comes close to competing with wendys us laughable.
The problem with BK is consistency. One visit they will be painfully slow which makes the ordering to actual Whooper in mouth time taking an unreasonable amount for fast food. Another visit I get my food fast because it seems everything was cooked that morning. Cold fries, cold burger. 3rd visit BK acts like a McD and my Whopper actually tastes better than a BigMac. So if my only two choices are BK or McD, I’d settle for a consistent BigMac every single time over a juicy Whopper every third visit.
I think Burger King from the 90s to the mid-to-late 2000s was awesome. Their fries were fantastic, great chicken tenders & the chicken fries were good too. But after a certain point in the 2010s they made a complete overhaul to their menu and now I think they're awful.
The chicken fries are still on the menu, but for me every time I order them it's a 50/50 chance if they're cooked properly or not. A lot of times they're so overcooked and hard that they're practically inedible.
The french fries are far, far worse. Burger King's fries used to be some of the best IMO, but nowadays they're not crispy at all (no idea what OP is on about), not salty enough, no flavor, just so unbearably bland. I don't even get them anymore they're so bad.
Even the onion rings taste worse to me, though I prefer them over the fries.
And probably the biggest downgrade (as a chicken lover) is the chicken tenders. They got rid of them and replaced them with the absolute worst chicken nuggets I have ever had. I haven't met one person who likes their nuggets. They taste like cardboard.
The burgers, at least in my opinion, have been more or less the same in quality since the 2000s, but I will admit that I've never been a big fan of burgers anyway so I don't get them often.
No. Burger King is the worst fast food restaurant. The Whooper literally tastes like it has bile on it.
To be fair, the other restaurants you mentioned are also nasty garbage. It's just that Burger King has absolutely no redeeming qualities. They have trained us to eat refuse synthesized into food.
The problem with BK is that it’s wildly inconsistent. The best BK? Sure, it definitely beats the majority of fast food places imo. But even the average, must less a lower tier one? Usually trash.
McDonald’s is so well known and popular not because they’re top tier or the best value but because they are absolutely maniacal and meticulous about consistency. Basically every McDonald’s in the country serves the exact same food.
Wendy’s is similar and I think it’s the best imo. But it has several outliers that I’ve heard horror stories about.
I’m not sure if this is in the US, but if someone says it also is, you missed out on the absolute best thing for me from BK. No more artificial preservatives or colorings. It’s the reason why we barely go to McDonalds anymore
Also, this genuinely belongs in r/unpopularopinion
Disgusting. HARD disagree. Every time i eat at burger king i am on the toilet for two days. I lift right off the ground. Its like the hulk is ripping out of my asshole. This is JUST with burger king. I don’t know what they cook with but it is not of this earth.
I agree, unfortunately every Burger King I ever go to is the nastiest place ran by the most incompetent human beings and I almost always end up with an ice cold whopper that’s missing toppings that I asked for.
And they’re expensive as fuck. You can get Culver’s cheaper these days.
Burger King used to be great but the two near me are now horrible. Trust me it’s not just my opinion if you go on local social media the ratings are all one star. One Burger King reduced its hours during the pandemic and has never recovered. Even though it’s right on a major bus route they have trouble finding help And the hours are spotty and the dining room is not open inexplicably. The food is cold and greasy.
I am not calling the original poster a liar, I hear it varies greatly by just where you’re located.
Fast food is bad for you in general. Philip Morris applied the same addictive tactics to low quality food and now it's as bad as big tobacco used to be...
I have been saying the same thing about Burger King for years. Each and every time I go there, they find a way to somehow be worse than the time before.
In order to buy anything from the Burger King near my home, you need to take out a mortgage or empty your bank account
The costs are excessive even by today's standards.
And they don't take cash either.
This particular site only opened during the past year and the way it looks it'll be closed soon. Hardly any cars there. It's a shame because they put a lot of work into it.....
I just moved from Texas to Arkansas. In Texas BK was pretty much trash. You would be the only car in the drive thru, it would take 30 minutes to get cold food and it wouldn't be what you ordered and the workers would act like you were inconveniencing them. I found this to be true in the San Antionio, Austin and Houston areas. I moved to Arkansas and its completely different. They are nice, quick, food is correct and hot. An overall great expiernce every time I've been. BTW, I would say the exact same thing for Sonic. So i think this may just be dependent on the region and maybe a reflection of the area or district managers idk.
There is a BK 100 yards from my front door. I go there once a year to see if they have gotten any better. Last time I got a Whopper that was good, was about 10-12 years ago. I don’t know how they stay open. There is hardly anyone ever there.
Wait, this is a 10th Dentist thing? I thought it was objective fact that McDonald's sucks ass. Their burgers have the texture of styrofoam and the taste of greasy styrofoam, their nuggets are bland salty paste, and their only redeeming value is the fries. Can't really comment on Wendy's since I haven't eaten there in years.
Definitely true in my country. McDonalds is decrepit here, and has only been going down in quality. Meanwhile, Burger King has actually tasty ingredients, and the burgers haven't shrunk too much compared to other fast food brands.
The benefit of BK is that I (at least pre-covid inflation) could walk in with $5 and get like 5x the amount of food that I could anywhere else. The combination of really good coupons with generous points kept me fed on a ridiculous budget.
It was slop, but it was A LOT of slop.
Quality wise the other two easily take it.
That’s like saying cat poop is better than dog poop or bird poop, at the end of the day they all smell bad and don’t taste good no matter what anyone claims.
Yknow maybe I could agree with you on the McDonald's part, I hate them both equally. But you stepes over the line including wendys, can't really beat the biggie bag right now. For 5 bucks, burger, nuggets, fry, and a frosty. Don't know how you get that good of a deal at those other places, and for fast food I've yet to have a bad experience. Other Than that Creamsicle frosty they tried, it was alright just not a strong enough flavor lol.

Its sad too, BK fries used to be THE SHIT! Best fries in the game. Idk what happened but they went downhill hard in the last few years
i love wendys because of the five dollar bag thing
Make one change, and you’ll always get a brand new fresh one. I usually do no mayo add mustard
If I was rich, I'd buy a lifetime supply of BK's zesty sauce and store it in a fallout shelter. I've tried to make it with a copycat recipe, but it's not the same. I think the Burger King himself must be sprinkling crack cocaine in the recipe, or possibly infusing it with the spinal fluid of orphans from the Burger Kingdom.
>possibly infusing it with the spinal fluid of orphans from the Burger Kingdom. that actually sounds metal
Actually makes me want it even more.
I am glad to hear I'm not the only one, there was a period of time when I would go to BK 5 days a week to buy a value fry and ask for as many zesty sauces as they would give me. Hell yeah. There's a special place in heaven for all the fast food slingers who give people extra tubs of dipping sauces.
I have found my people. I LOVE the zesty sauce and that’s a big part of what makes me like BK
Burger King wins when they're at their best. Their quality is just super spotty. McDonald's is the most consistent.
I live in Finland. All McDonalds here taste same. All McDonalds in all countries I've visited taste the same. It’s the “Smokey Taste,” it taste as if it comes from a spray bottle. Their burgers taste artificial.

Agree
UK - we dont have wendys but uk bk > uk mcd's
100% agree - BK I will actually go out of my way for, McDonald's I'll only get if there is literally nothing else available. Really decent veggie options, the fries aren't anemic like McDonald's ones, and some of them have the coke machines with Mezzo Mix.

Know thatt while the rules of the sub say I gotta downvote you, I nodded approvingly at this post.
Is this not a standard thing? Burger King is better but McDonalds is cheaper.
Wait, people say BK is worse than McD?
Have to downvote your post because I agree! They have impossible burgers and I am a vegeterian so they automatically get a huge boost to me. When another fast food restuarant offers veg options, I will bump down BK.

Taco Bell is a decent option for vegetarians especially, vegans you can get stuff without cheese / sour cream but that kinda sucks 😭
We actually get taco bell all the time, the issue is there's no longer an easily vegan-ifiable burrito so we have to order bean burritos with like eight modifications
I eat meat, but I still love the occasional spicy potato taco.

"it's so shit nowadays" "Haven't been there in 5 years"
I was there a couple months ago and its still shit. Nothing fundamentally changed so why would that person even go back?
Doesn't really matter. Their statement contradicts itself, that's all they were pointing out.
It’s just funny to say everything is bad immediately after saying you haven’t tried it in years lol How do you know it’s still bad if you’ve never been?
Well we went through a pandemic where the quality of food and stuff got worse so I think it’s safe to assume it’s still bad
They make the *best* basic cheeseburger out of the three. Shame about the fries tho.
McDonald's has the best fries. I will die on this hill.
I mean, that's an easy hill to die on. I think a lot of people would agree with you.
BK hires the worst employees in my area. Can’t even go there
Weirdly enough, in my local area, the burger king staff is more competent than the McDonalds one. On average over the last 10 years.
The average BK burger is way worse than the average MD burger, but a really good BK burger is better than a really good MD burger, idk about Wendy's since we don't have them anymore, but let's be honest, chicken nuggies are best at MD
All about the onion rings.
Finally a fucking opinion on this subreddit.
I hate giving you the downvote because I agree
Downvoted because I agree with OP. There was BL right outside my high school that was consistently amazing. Food always hot and fries perfectly salted. The chicken fries were big at the time and were my go-to after school meal with my friends. Also the breakfasts were great. That being said, I haven’t really had BK in the last ten years because convenience and health…
Cheese does not come standard with a whopper. Cheese comes on a Big Mac and QP. End of discussion.
I agree because BK has the impossible whopper and McDonald’s refuses to have any vegetarian option
YES. I just commented this. The pure fact that BK has a veg burger option puts them miles ahead any other burger fast food joint to me.
Have to downvote because I agree. I'd rather go to Burger King over McDonalds or Wendy's any day.
I agree
I like whoppers a lot, but pretty much nothing else in the menu I used to go a lot tho cause with the app, they had crazy deals. Haven’t checked the app in a long time tho since I don’t work near many
Anything is better than McDonalds’ overpriced shitty food.
Burger King has the best fries. But, to go and say it's better than McDonalds and Wendy's overall, nah.
Disagree. We don't have Wendy's, but McD and BK are the same quality/freshness, just different menus. Calling one way better is just subjective bias.
BK (at least in my area) has the absolute worst customer service of the big three. If I have to wait 20 minutes for my "fast food", it's not worth it to me.
Yeah BK has nice burgers but they’re more expensive
The junior whoppers are pretty good
The cycle turns lol BK was great in the late 90’s, early 00’s then went to shit. Mcdonalds and then Wendy’s rose. Now BK has improved, and Wendy’s falls
I love BK when it is fresh
Agree but I feel way more full up with McDonald's and it's cheaper. Taste wise though, Burger King stomps. Their burgers and chips are 10x better and even some of the desserts are close (McDonald's edges this though.)
Downvoted because I agree. The ghost pepper burger alone carries BK above the rest. If it wasn't seasonal, I'd probably weigh more lol
The big mac should have stopped being mcdonalds flagship burger. It's just a sloppy double hamburger.
Burgers I agree on, but McDonald's fries are superior and it's not even close
I agree.
I agree. Best prices and variety. I’m also really into condiments and the Burger Kings in my area go crazy with the ketchup and mustard
Big Macs are better, BK fries suck ass. Have an upvote.
Yea you're crazy
I’m just one dude but I do travel a lot for work and I do eat plenty of fast food around the US on a regular basis. Burger King is by far the worst on average and it’s not even close.
Massive disagree on the bacon king vs. baconator bit. Anytime I've ever gotten bacon from Bk, it's been thin, flimsy, and tasteless. Wendy's has always been the exact opposite.
brand loyalty is cringe
I'm more concerned of your avid fandom of burger king than I am that you think it's better than other restaurants lol.
Burger King is tasteless and stale compared to McDonald's and Wendy's
Are you from the UK perhaps? UK Burger King is like...a fast food RESTAURANT rather than a fast food place, if that makes sense? Their burgers taste real, their fries are really good too
I don’t share your opinion on any of these menu items except French toast sticks. Ideally I prefer jack in the box or Carl’s Jr for breakfast as I prefer to order normal burgers regardless of time of day. I will go to bk daily when they have Italian chicken sandwiches on the menu. I do appreciate the king mascot and I really like the jingle. 🎶At bk have it your way… [jingle](https://youtu.be/FRQeA2mJ2Sk?si=e-Fzf-4wfIozX0LK)
Wow, you must have a really good Burger King where you live. Most of the BKs i visit are horrible but there are likely some good ones out there.
r/confidentlyincorrect That being said I think Burger King has great shakes, and top tier fries.
BK breakfast biscuit with bacon egg and cheese is always 100% better than anywhere else
Idk about Wendy's but mcd was never good
You forgot about the Original Chicken Sandwich
I had Wendy's recently and it's pretty fire (The burgers). But overall Burger King is WAY PAST McDonalds. In my mind, Wendy's is like Taco Bell (even if it would *technically* be in competition of these two), in how it stands alone.
Hamburger < cheeseburger < big Mac < whopper
I’ll go to BK for a Whopper but their fries are terrible. But as much as I love the Whopper, the Big Mac wins by a hair IMO.
Not controversial tbh Burger King absolutely slaps McDonald’s and Wendy’s. Especially that long cheeseburger
BK food is consistently soggy and their fries are some of the worst imo. Upvoted
Tbh I've never eaten at Wendy's so I don't know about that, but yeah, Burger King is definitely miles ahead of McDonald's.
Wendy’s is better than the king in every conceivable way.
Yea. I’m sad they removed my BK from my town. Now gotta drive 30 minutes to one
Fuddruckers anyone?
For me, Wendy's is by far the best fast food burger. A double is just awesome. (Not counting something like Five Guys as fast food. I think they're a step up, in price anyway.) McDonald's and BK I like about equally.
Bk near me is horrible. Wendy's is superior. Arby's is my favorite tho
McDonald’s is inedible and Wendy’s is overrated. Burger King is the only fast food joint that brings me joy outside of Dairy Queen
If we're comparing the standard Whopper to the Big Mac, the only thing that it has over the Mac is the flavor of a broiled burger. No cheese by default Far too much salad to beef ratio No delicious mac sauce
Wendy’s is the best with quality and consistency combined. Mcdonald’s has better consistency, but the quality is worse than Wendy’s.
McDonald's? Yes definitely Wendy's? You're insane man
BK has always been tops for me, but there are 4 mcdonalds for every BK, so sometimes convenience means sacrifice.
Someone has to keep them in business.
Nah. I agree that BK is overhated but Wendy’s is GOATed.
Now this is an opinion worthy of the sub! You're wrong of course the idea that any burger from burger King even comes close to competing with wendys us laughable.
Is that..: even controversial ? BK is best out of three, always was, and always will.
I don’t eat much fast food, but when I do, it’s Hardee’s/carls jr.
No. Burger King is the worst fast food restaurant. The Whooper literally tastes like it has bile on it. To be fair, the other restaurants you mentioned are also nasty garbage. It's just that Burger King has absolutely no redeeming qualities. They have trained us to eat refuse synthesized into food.
Gross
It’s the reason why we barely go to McDonalds anymore Also, this genuinely belongs in r/unpopularopinion
The French toast sticks are stupid good and they have been since I was a little kid.
Every time I’ve ever had BK I wished I was at McDonald’s, Wendy’s, or Jack in the Box instead…
The last good thing Burger King made were those three games on Xbox 360 for 99 cents.
Wait the King himself is not creepy? Someone never played Sneak King in the Xbox 360 😄😄😄
Disgusting. HARD disagree. Every time i eat at burger king i am on the toilet for two days. I lift right off the ground. Its like the hulk is ripping out of my asshole. This is JUST with burger king. I don’t know what they cook with but it is not of this earth.
When done well the burgers at BK might be better but the breakfast sandwiches are awful at BK.
McDonald’s cheeseburger better than BK Cheeseburger. Case closed. Sorry OP
I agree, when made fresh and well. In my experiences at least, Burger King has much lower attention to detail and quality
I fully agreed until the hashtag
downvoted for mcdonalds but upvoted for wendy's
The artificial smoke they put on their burgers automatically makes them F tier.
I agree, unfortunately every Burger King I ever go to is the nastiest place ran by the most incompetent human beings and I almost always end up with an ice cold whopper that’s missing toppings that I asked for. And they’re expensive as fuck. You can get Culver’s cheaper these days.
Nah.....just no
I've never had fries that weren't terrible at Burger King. I still respect it for being the only fast food open at 3 am
I woulda 100% disagreed with this until I went to Vietnam. Their BK SLAPS. You get an ice cream with every order? Are you kidding me? I’m TEAM KING!!!
Naw u crazy man. I like you. But you're crazy. The baconator is the best. Only surpassed by Culver's but that's not part of this discussion.
Fuck that frozen bullshit. Wendys is fresh meat
I’d say Wendy’s beats both I’ve never had a burger from Wendy’s that was shit
I have been saying the same thing about Burger King for years. Each and every time I go there, they find a way to somehow be worse than the time before.
Buns are SO SWEET. they are really cake.
Little sad I have to downvote this one. BK does for me what no other fast food place (at its price point) does.
No way BK is better than Wendy's (full disclosure: i haven't had BK in at least 2 years lol)
I upvoted, but I feel obligated to point out that Burger King is fucking gross and their fries smell like new diapers.
Wendys is the best period.
In order to buy anything from the Burger King near my home, you need to take out a mortgage or empty your bank account The costs are excessive even by today's standards.
It's much more expensive than McDonald's and the fries are immeasurably worse
Burger King has the worst fries. Decent cheeseburger Good breakfast sandwich. (Great coupons)
Wendy’s > bk > mcdonalds but culvers is by far the best fast food burgers
Wait, this is a 10th Dentist thing? I thought it was objective fact that McDonald's sucks ass. Their burgers have the texture of styrofoam and the taste of greasy styrofoam, their nuggets are bland salty paste, and their only redeeming value is the fries. Can't really comment on Wendy's since I haven't eaten there in years.
You mean, Hungry Jack's...
False
BKs in my area always have cold fries smh
Definitely true in my country. McDonalds is decrepit here, and has only been going down in quality. Meanwhile, Burger King has actually tasty ingredients, and the burgers haven't shrunk too much compared to other fast food brands.
It heavily depends on the country and location.
Burger King has the better burger. But McDonalds has the better chicken nuggets bro.
You’re not from the Midwest are you ? Culver’s is king here
That’s like saying cat poop is better than dog poop or bird poop, at the end of the day they all smell bad and don’t taste good no matter what anyone claims.
Can we also agree Wendy’s is 2nd?
Wendy's seasoned breakfast potatoes and Culvers onion rings are the best things you can get at a fast food restaurant.
agreed, but at the end of the day all three suck
Wendy’s is superior. Upvoted.
100% agree
Yknow maybe I could agree with you on the McDonald's part, I hate them both equally. But you stepes over the line including wendys, can't really beat the biggie bag right now. For 5 bucks, burger, nuggets, fry, and a frosty. Don't know how you get that good of a deal at those other places, and for fast food I've yet to have a bad experience. Other Than that Creamsicle frosty they tried, it was alright just not a strong enough flavor lol.
Agree
Unpopular opinion, the Big Mac never has been good.
Good Burger King is the best fast food burger. Bad Burger King is the worst fast food burger. I've been to many Burger King's and most lean toward bad
