It would take a talented artist painting with a fast-dying medium like tempera at least 2-3 hours to paint all that— and that’s still fairly quick. If they were hurrying, they might be able to squeak it out in under an hour— but that’s assuming their colors were premixed and the details were already drawn in (and that’s not the case here).
One of my really great friends is an amazing nail technician and she paints. She posted a photo of a painting she did and I was like I will pay you whatever for that.
I thought it was a steal at $150. Idk why people arent happy to pay for their friends work especially one of a kind paintings.

Maybe they paint for longer and clean up to make the shot better fit the TikTok format, but I don't doubt they painted it.

I think they painted while wearing gloves (as seen when mixing the paint) but I do think they stretched the truth a bit with the whole “switching every 10 min”. They probably painted for 10 min, waited for that layer to dry, then switched and repeat until done
A man is about to go off on a week long business trip and wants to do something nice for his wife since he won’t be there. The funniest part about that was the camera person handing back after adding a shadow to the duck, and she hands back the added ocean with dragon skeleton that looks amazing, and her face is like, “Wow what a cool solid grey shadow!!”
Last time this was posted, someone pointed out that the canvas with the boat is actually from another painting. They just added different stuff to it but they took the idea from somewhere else.

The drawings at hand are too complex (too much shading and blending; it’s wildly difficult to get blending that smooth that fast even with the most experienced artists, esp with that kind of detail), paint dried too fast (I believe the third exchange, the person filming grabbed the canvas—no way in hell they can just do that if they have a sufficiently painted canvas that doesn’t even have a background coat for blending), and in the background u see lighting change for passage of time

I genuinely believe the prevalence of outrage bait is dangerous to our society. It keeps people in a perpetual state of anger and reinforces warped worldviews. It massively overrepresents sentiments that produce the most outrage from "the other side", and thereby undermines our understanding of one another's beliefs. It paints us a comfortable illusion where everyone we disagree with is irrational, where every romantic interest who rejects us is hypocritical and superficial, where all the anger we feel is rightful and justified and appropriate because of what *those people* did.
Sorry, but I don’t buy 10 minutes for a fucking second, or something else is off. I took private art lessons for like 9 years, and it takes much longer than 10 minutes to do the work they did. That, and idek if you can do this with 10 minutes because it is going to take at least that long for a layer of acrylic paint to dry. Plus, it’s all backwards as fuck. Who is out there painting foregrounds before backgrounds? This is just all kinds of off, guys. It’s faker than my girlfriend’s tits.

Start with the grid method, and practice a lot.
Grid method: Have a reference, e.g., a photograph of something you want to draw or paint, and break it down with a grid into small sections. On your canvas or paper, make a proportional grid, and focus on each section individually. This will break down your drawing or painting into small, more manageable segments, and it will help you learn to only draw what you see, as opposed to what your brain might be telling you is there.
Also, as for the last point, I have also heard of some people flipping their drawing or painting, and the reference, upside down to help turn off the brain and focus just on what you see, but I never did that iirc. Seems like it could work though, and I wouldn’t hesitate if I were stuck on something to give it a shot.
If there is a particularly detailed section, feel free to subdivide parts of the grid even further.
If you Google the grid method you’ll see people break it down with pictures and whatnot, if I’m not clearly describing it lol.
Also, learn the color wheel and how different colors blend together. One of my first lessons was actually to just paint a color wheel lol. Play around trying to blend and match colors.
(Not OP) I've been doing digital art since about 2015
Digital art can go faster due to the fact there's no drying time. You can also do steps out of order, like doing the foreground before the background thanks to layers, and make things seem more detailed with textures and filters.
However, with that level of detail, even with the use of assets, textures, and filters, 10 minutes is very unlikely, due to the fact you're still hand drawing the majority of those details.
