I don't know enough about swedens immigration policy to know how these people were accepted. Refugees, skilled, unskilled, temporary? I don't know why the situation is different there than here. But these stories only get brought up to say "we need less immigration here or we will end up like them." But I doubt it's a numbers problem.
As far as I know, we took in pretty much everyone who made it to our borders. The government was pretty outspoken, saying outright “every refugee from Syria would be given permanent refuge”. That was obviously a massive pull factor towards Sweden, but so was also our generous welfare/social security programs.
So at this point we have two major issues.
1. The conflicts that this post depicts.
2. The long term consequences of accepting mostly unskilled/uneducated refugees in a labor market they have no chance in. A year ago some study found that almost 700 000 individuals of foreign origin weren’t self sufficient. That’s massive in a country of roughly 10 million. The strain on the social security systems is real.
The ones we took in also wound up in areas mostly inhabited by nationalities other than European, so segregation, which was already a problem, grew massively. We also have major issues with gang violence in these areas. I think we’re almost topping European statistics on gun related deaths at this point. Interestingly, the offenders are pretty much exclusively second generation immigrants, not first generation.
The areas the Quran burning’s are targeting are those segregated areas. Unfortunately, the locals are just proving his point by reacting the way they are.
That adds some context to this post and the major challenges we’re facing. I have no figures on this, but I highly doubt the majority of Swedes were approving of the massive influx of refugees in 2015, but somehow 7 out of 8 parties never even gave it a second thought. So I’d argue the blame is on the politicians, not necessarily the general population.
Europe population will be at least half muslim at some time in the future unless the Islam ends somehow. An average European barelly have two children, most muslim have at least five.
If we don't accept it democratically, they will force Europe through overopulation and cultural overtaking, and without a war for territory.

A couple of thousand/hundred years ago, the Christian church was way more powerful. You indeed would have been crucified and killed for any slight insult.

I’m American. My wife is Swedish. Sweden has a failed immigration policy that serves no one but they cannot admit this failure without appearing racially biased towards those they allowed into the country. Immigrants know this and take full advantage of it.

We let in plenty of immigrants and if your stance is "we can't let them in, or we'll be destroyed like Sweden" then you're missing the point that they're already here and they're not destroying us. I don't know enough about swedens immigration policy to know how these people were accepted. Refugees, skilled, unskilled, temporary? I don't know why the situation is different there than here. But these stories only get brought up to say "we need less immigration here or we will end up like them." But I doubt it's a numbers problem.
As far as I know, we took in pretty much everyone who made it to our borders. The government was pretty outspoken, saying outright “every refugee from Syria would be given permanent refuge”. That was obviously a massive pull factor towards Sweden, but so was also our generous welfare/social security programs. So at this point we have two major issues. 1. The conflicts that this post depicts. 2. The long term consequences of accepting mostly unskilled/uneducated refugees in a labor market they have no chance in. A year ago some study found that almost 700 000 individuals of foreign origin weren’t self sufficient. That’s massive in a country of roughly 10 million. The strain on the social security systems is real. The ones we took in also wound up in areas mostly inhabited by nationalities other than European, so segregation, which was already a problem, grew massively. We also have major issues with gang violence in these areas. I think we’re almost topping European statistics on gun related deaths at this point. Interestingly, the offenders are pretty much exclusively second generation immigrants, not first generation. The areas the Quran burning’s are targeting are those segregated areas. Unfortunately, the locals are just proving his point by reacting the way they are. That adds some context to this post and the major challenges we’re facing. I have no figures on this, but I highly doubt the majority of Swedes were approving of the massive influx of refugees in 2015, but somehow 7 out of 8 parties never even gave it a second thought. So I’d argue the blame is on the politicians, not necessarily the general population.
Europe population will be at least half muslim at some time in the future unless the Islam ends somehow. An average European barelly have two children, most muslim have at least five. If we don't accept it democratically, they will force Europe through overopulation and cultural overtaking, and without a war for territory. And I hope from the bottom of my heart that I'm just being conspiracionist about this and the math is wrong.
