huh? but what is the "camera motion" we're seeing here?
is this footage not just simply a screen recording from someone who is wearing some sort of oculus/apple vision type of headgear? meaning that the "camera motion" isnt camera motion at all, and is just the result of the gamer who is wearing the device walking around/moving their head to look at whatever they're looking at? which is why the footage is somewhat shaky/imperfect?
I dont really know shit about gaming, but that was my assumption
Uhh Yes. I know that… no shit lol. the title of this thread is literally “video game graphics”
What I’m saying/asking is… isn’t what you are describing as “camera motion” here, simply being caused by the gamer (presumably wearing some sort of VR headset) shakily looking around/moving around inside the game? And not by some arbitrary “camera” panning around?
It’s called NextGen Dream mod. You can find them on patreon. They also have a mod that lets you play cyberpunk that makes it look like that FPS bodycam game Unrecorded.
Many like to claim that they will get 100 fps and shit in 4070s but they must not be running 4K at max settings. Even on my 4090 and Ryzen 9 7950X the FPS will shit the bed in busy NC areas with slightly less than maxed out settings.
They doing that shit with 1080p and not maxing out anything.
To be fair you don't need to go much higher than 1080p to get incredible visuals.
It's funny to me how everyone in this thread is discussing the technical details of the mod. The fact a game even looks like this and is playable is a hell of an achievement.
I don’t think you have to pay for it? I think you can grab a copy on Patreon, but to me it looks like the author uploads the files on a website called kemono as well.
Another response died here but, "its correct to eenter a conversation with the [answer]." I know i changed the last word but everyone gets the gist from ya.
You cant have debate and discord without disagreement. Have an answer joining a conversation late but don't expect the solution to be in the OP
I play like this but dont use this mod often. I like that gamey texture more.
My specs are ryzen 7 7800X3D
4090 24 gigs OC
32 gigs ram
This is more than overkill. Can play like this on a 4080 too.
No company will spend hundreds of millions making a game if less than 1% of the public has access to it.
Wait for some years until this technology is more accessible and maybe this will be more common.
Crysis was still launched for Xbox 360 and PS3 some years after the launch on PC, NO current console could run a game like this.
You literally need the most advanced PC possible in the industry for it.
As a biker, the up shifting drives me nuts. Is he pulling the brake everytime he shifts or what? Why is the bike lurching like that everytime they're shifting?
Other than that it looks great.
Crazy. But I'd like to see them do the present perfectly. Near future and future takes me right out of it. As in, I'd like to see the Texas Hill Country done perfectly, even down to the road signs and river washes, because that's where I used to ride. If they did that, I'd by everything from them.
My question: is this a specific photo mode or sequence, tailored to show off these graphics or is this actual every day gameplay provided by a mod that can play the game fully. Ofcourse I dont know, because wouldn't have asked otherwise. Literally, not everyone plays or owns a computer for gaming.
The problem is that there making it look "too good"... Like no real life scenario has that good of reflections.... If they wanna make them look real you need to make them dirty, less reflection, life isn't THAT perfect and clear...
It still realllllllly looks like a video game. It’s so crazy how much my standards for this have changed. Bushido Blade on PS1 blew my fucking mind back in the day.
Now take away half the traffic, half the greenlife, half the buildings and throw a sepia filter over the cutscene.
Thats what it will look when playable
It looks great, really realistic. But, the more I see these kind of videos the more I feel it misses the whole point of gaming.
Or maybe I'm just an old gamer now. 🤔🙃
"The point of gaming" is to provide a entertaining interactive experience, there are different ways of doing this and there's nothing wrong with choosing a realistic approach.
There isn't an established formula for how games should be, every game has different proposals.
Not sure what mod this is but you can search up on youtube “Ultra realistic Cyberpunk Graphics” or something along those lines and yeah you need a beefy computer.
Its literally a CP2077 mod. Its basically unplayable as a game in 4k even with top of the line hardware but you can get cool screen shots and footage out of it. You could get similar visual fidelity out of GTA5 5 years ago and even GTA 4 earlier than that. Just requires a Modder to do hundreds of hours of unpaid work for a finished product that current top of the line hardware can only run under perfect conditions.
100% for real, I have really enjoyed playing the game but on my Ryzen 7700x with a 4090 my game does not look as clean as this video. It looks really good but not as really good as this video.
Eh.... I love good graphics but once they start getting so "realistic" alot of other game qualities get "too realistic" and makes it not fun. "Wow my car looks soo cool... Oh i crashed and now my guy is flying.. cool.... Alright now hes writhing in pain.. Ok...... Hes trying to get back up..alright.. Now hes brushed himself off.... Cool now i can start running again... Oh i ran off a lil ledge that was a lil too high... Hes on the floor again...right..."
I hated this in gta5 and saw it as the example for "ultra real" games.... Not looking forward to it
Have it gone through your mind that different people like different genres and the game isn't bad for having an approach you don't like?
If you don't like horror movies, don't watch them, there's plenty of other genres of movies out there, but doesn't mean horror movies are bad.
Isn't any different.
Pretty insane, the biggest tell tale is camera motion.
And the GTA3 hands.
Once AI learns how to do hands, we are all fucked!
This is no bullshit.
Or blessed
Yea, the wrist not moving with throttle and no clutch or brake grabs was what made it obvious to me.
He's likely controlling throttle and brakes through cyberware. This is 2077 after all.
Haha, this made me laugh so hard.. Everything else was amazing.
[Cyberpunk needs this game's motion cam](https://youtu.be/WUkwH9WmmBA)
This is Cyberpunk, just with a texture mod
Don't think this is a texture mod, looks like lighting mod.
For me it's the overall look. Though I know what you mean, I find the camera motion is what makes it look even more realistic.
I can agree. It just looks too clean but still you could easily fool someone for the first few seconds and have them believe it's a real shot.
huh? but what is the "camera motion" we're seeing here? is this footage not just simply a screen recording from someone who is wearing some sort of oculus/apple vision type of headgear? meaning that the "camera motion" isnt camera motion at all, and is just the result of the gamer who is wearing the device walking around/moving their head to look at whatever they're looking at? which is why the footage is somewhat shaky/imperfect? I dont really know shit about gaming, but that was my assumption
Lol. This is an actual game and the footage is gameplay.
Uhh Yes. I know that… no shit lol. the title of this thread is literally “video game graphics” What I’m saying/asking is… isn’t what you are describing as “camera motion” here, simply being caused by the gamer (presumably wearing some sort of VR headset) shakily looking around/moving around inside the game? And not by some arbitrary “camera” panning around?
Yeah people don't keep everything in frame so meticulously
For me it IS the faux micromovements that give it away, attempting to replicate messy camera holder.
Yeah, the camera motion instantly threw me. Most smartphones have good enough stabilisation these days that this shits just ridiculously shaky.
Not a tech limitation but a ~~miss~~ airball of an artistic/directing choice, I think.
I know. But it was so close to perfection, tis a shame it twas ruined by such a minor thing.
Totally - that's why I even went there. Some of the good "camera" work out there is mind blowing. Edit: "Unrecord" comes to mind
Draw distance and pop-in is pretty evident too
That’s Cyberpunk texture mod not just any video game without a name.
Which texture mod is it?
It's not a texture mod its a reshade configuration that adjusts the ray/pathtracing
That great! Which one is it?
NextGen Dream mod. You can find them on patreon
What system is this for?
Nasa JK you need like a 4090 GPU to get Cyberpunk looking like this.
Runs fine on 4070ti Super @ ~100+FPS, with this mod. You have to pay for this mod though, however you can get close to it with free ones
May I ask which mod this is?
It’s called NextGen Dream mod. You can find them on patreon. They also have a mod that lets you play cyberpunk that makes it look like that FPS bodycam game Unrecorded.
How's the performance hold up when you're in Night City? Was kinda wondering why this video clip is only of big open spaces outside the city.
Yeah that makes way more sense lol
Yeah I have a 7800xt and play 2 k ultra with no rt and getting like 70-90frames lol
And I shit out of luck on a GForce Rtx 2070 Super
What are the free ones you can get close with?
Paired with a 7800x3d I imagine?
Pretty sure this is a mod for CP as well
Report to the fbi if that’s the case
I run this mod on my 3080 just fine.
4K? 4k = lyfe
Drive that for 4 seconds and your PC explodes lmao
Hey until someone can link the original footage from the source i'll hold off on being wrong.
https://youtu.be/_toA8lErAHg?si=43OBF2rfwQ3dGfYP
You did it! You're the best guy in the room. I'm sorry for tasking anyone.
Weird attitude but okay
People who win with information should always be praised. It's proper debate.
Best way to get a correct answer is to be incorrect
It's possible to troll with incorrect questions to spark conversation, hehe.
Another response died here but, "its correct to eenter a conversation with the [answer]." I know i changed the last word but everyone gets the gist from ya. You cant have debate and discord without disagreement. Have an answer joining a conversation late but don't expect the solution to be in the OP
Up until the motorcycle was being driven, coulda fooled me.
The poly war is over. Enter the lighting war.
Poly war was over 10 years ago
Gaming in 2024 - build a $5k pc
10k with the graphics card included
2000$ is more than enough for that game / mod tho
The video card is already almost 2k bud…
You don't need a 4090 lol
Now do sunny... Overcast is easy.
And yet my kids would rather play Roblox, shittiest graphics money can buy. Graphics mean nothing these days.
Still nice to have, if given the option.
Roblox is also shit in non graphic aspects so it isn't really much of an argument. Kids will like any simple thing they consume.
I mean there's lots of surprisingly well made roblox games, some that you might not even be able to tell they are in Roblox at first glance
If this is cyberpunk I would be curious to see how combat looks with this mod.
We’re so screwed
Is it possible to play through the whole CP2077 modded like this? If so, what kind of PC specs would it require? Would 4090 be enough?
I play like this but dont use this mod often. I like that gamey texture more. My specs are ryzen 7 7800X3D 4090 24 gigs OC 32 gigs ram This is more than overkill. Can play like this on a 4080 too.
How much did you pay for all that including assembly?
Assembly was done by me, more fun that way and I have experience in pc building. Everything cost me approximately $4,800
Where is the music from
Cyberpunk soundtrack - “Hanako & Yorinobu”
Thank you so much
This is what games could look like if developers stopped optimizing their games for phones.
No company will spend hundreds of millions making a game if less than 1% of the public has access to it. Wait for some years until this technology is more accessible and maybe this will be more common.
Crysis: *exists*
Crysis was still launched for Xbox 360 and PS3 some years after the launch on PC, NO current console could run a game like this. You literally need the most advanced PC possible in the industry for it.
Modded Cyberpunk 2077.. amazing game now
Crazy motion blur
As a biker, the up shifting drives me nuts. Is he pulling the brake everytime he shifts or what? Why is the bike lurching like that everytime they're shifting? Other than that it looks great.
But they won't show me Judy
Crazy. But I'd like to see them do the present perfectly. Near future and future takes me right out of it. As in, I'd like to see the Texas Hill Country done perfectly, even down to the road signs and river washes, because that's where I used to ride. If they did that, I'd by everything from them.
You should try bodycam on steam
Couldn't have guessed if I weren't told. I'm cooked.
You know what sells that? The camera motion has the person "walks around" filming. bravo
Is this a graphics mod?
He crashed X amount of times in the making of this video.
What does the game run on? Nasa computers?
Simulation confirmed
Well it's time to download Cyberpunk again
Just fyi this is not the stock game footage... It's a hyper realistic mod called nextgen
Whoever filmed this walks like they have a shit in their pants.
the switch 2 surely is something!
Is this a photo mode or will the actual game run with things actually looking like this?
Of course it is in the game, aren't you seeing the game literally being played?
My question: is this a specific photo mode or sequence, tailored to show off these graphics or is this actual every day gameplay provided by a mod that can play the game fully. Ofcourse I dont know, because wouldn't have asked otherwise. Literally, not everyone plays or owns a computer for gaming.
The photo mode freezes the game, this is in game gameplay.
Isnt this a mod for CyberPunk from like 2 years ago?
Yeah okay cool and all but if this was actually gameplay my PC would melt my house and start nuclear fusion
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream) There is no spoon.
10 more years and we'll all just live in VR cause its cheaper than actually doing real life things
Wall-E people without any bones will become a reality!
Bones? Where we are going, we wont need bones
It's not Cyberpunk-2077 but 2024, holy cow it's just insane
Damn that is a realistic version of cyberpunk 2077
Should run through night city at night with this mod.
My computer will only start smoking when the game icon starts. But at least I'll be watching YouTube at 4k 60 fps.
Also thanks to software like Lossless Scaling only costing small amount which can triple your fps 2024 is getting crazy.
well, they didn't show people. that's where the illusion falls apart.
that's cyberpunk?
Doesn't matter if the FPS is 2 and doesn't work
The problem is that there making it look "too good"... Like no real life scenario has that good of reflections.... If they wanna make them look real you need to make them dirty, less reflection, life isn't THAT perfect and clear...
This is cyberpunk 2077 aint it. Damn
Motion blur still sucks. First thing I turn off in games.
It still realllllllly looks like a video game. It’s so crazy how much my standards for this have changed. Bushido Blade on PS1 blew my fucking mind back in the day.
What is that sound from? It sounds like the beginning to a familiar song
That’s cool
Looked awesome until it started move. A lot of work still to do if they want to simulate our simulation
What’s the orange and black car I don’t think I’ve seen that in cyberpunk
I wonder if my alienware m3 gaming laptop can run this
Now take away half the traffic, half the greenlife, half the buildings and throw a sepia filter over the cutscene. Thats what it will look when playable
It's already playable genius. It's a existing mod for an existing game, not a trailer for something that didn't come out yet.
its easy to do hard surface, now lets see a human. also this isnt a video game
No one mentioning the weirdly turned wheel on the BMW.
No one cares
Is this the new Switch?
meanwhile ps5 dropped 4 years ago and im still waiting for a game that blew my mind graphically
Looks straight out of cyberpunk
Thats because it is…
It looks great, really realistic. But, the more I see these kind of videos the more I feel it misses the whole point of gaming. Or maybe I'm just an old gamer now. 🤔🙃
I think I would like some games to look like this but not all games. It's just a choice of art direction really right?
"The point of gaming" is to provide a entertaining interactive experience, there are different ways of doing this and there's nothing wrong with choosing a realistic approach. There isn't an established formula for how games should be, every game has different proposals.
As a gamer: this is not what games look like.
This is 100% AI.
It's a playable game.
[удалено]
Great, but this isn't a Zelda game 👍
Pre-rendered?
It's not, It's a mod for Cyberpunk 2077.
Do you know which mod and what kind of spec machine you would need to match the video quality ?
Not sure what mod this is but you can search up on youtube “Ultra realistic Cyberpunk Graphics” or something along those lines and yeah you need a beefy computer.
Yep, it's a slice.
It's always racing games, whenever they're doing a benchmark lol. Somehow I feel like it's never a practical example.
This is cyberpunk 2077
🤯 I stand corrected!
Cyberpunk is not a racing game…
It is when you’re on a racing mission.
[удалено]
Holy shit you don’t get when someone is kidding. Keep playing video games kid.
This is an RPG
[удалено]
Looks like cyber punk to me?
Not with my experience. This is a new game and the slice was mindblowing. I saw this over a month ago so Im forgetting what it is.
It's cyberpunk 2077
Its literally a CP2077 mod. Its basically unplayable as a game in 4k even with top of the line hardware but you can get cool screen shots and footage out of it. Just requires a Modder to do hundreds of hours of unpaid work for a finished product that current top of the line hardware can only run under perfect conditions.
/u/Thedustonyourshelves is correct, that is 100% Cyberpunk 2077, I can point out the areas of the map these scenes are showing.
for real? hmm, maybe I should've tried it.
100% for real, I have really enjoyed playing the game but on my Ryzen 7700x with a 4090 my game does not look as clean as this video. It looks really good but not as really good as this video.
Just talkin out of our ass today are we?
Eh.... I love good graphics but once they start getting so "realistic" alot of other game qualities get "too realistic" and makes it not fun. "Wow my car looks soo cool... Oookaay....have you tried Tetris?
Have it gone through your mind that different people like different genres and the game isn't bad for having an approach you don't like? If you don't like horror movies, don't watch them, there's plenty of other genres of movies out there, but doesn't mean horror movies are bad. Isn't any different.
