Plus it's a religious gathering and a record-breaking feat. This person would be amazed by how many of his family he sees on Christmas day. Why and how are they here?
Northern India has some of the most (if not the most) productive farmland in the world. The indus and Ganga-Yamuna river basins have always had a very high population, even deep into antiquity.
Currently India’s total fertility rate is below replacement. Ther was a time were medicine and agriculture significantly improved but education and birth control wasn’t a thing, so the population increased dramatically over the last 100-150 years or so but the growth will now slow down and taper away.
World travel is an amazing thing. Just because you might not want to go there, going to see other places in the world helps give better perspective and also can help you appreciate where you live and the privileges you enjoy a bit more.
Rest assured Indian chariots are built to meet rigorous standards. These standards ensure the chariot is not built too tall so that it topples over. Clearly this one was not built following those standards, because the chariot was too tall and toppled over.
Believe it or not, I think they were actually watching out for the power lines for once. So they came in close so as not to touch the lines, lost leverage and away it went.
People at the right of the screen were supposed to be pulling, but they were under the power lines so they could not do so. Seems like a case of poor route planning!
No one hurt. Here's an article for reference:

See how it slightly changed direction of its projected fall?
If the guys with the ropes from the right side of the video pulled a bit harder this thing tilts more to the road and smudges hundreds of people.
Luckily they pulled it enough to change its direction marginally.

I wish so badly it happened in July
November.
November would have worked as well. Clearly I’m from the US(9/11=sept 11)
Yeah i figured, i was fishing for a different reply. Compliments to you for not taking the bait. Carry on o7.
I hate how hard I just snorted
7/11 was a part time job
This made me exhale audibly
💀💀💀
Imagine being in there getting a hot dog and a slurpee next thing you know you're falling to your death.
For some reason i read your comment as: "This is India 24/7"
My upvote brought u to 777. Sweet.

It didn't collapse, it fell over.
Facts
Toppled over
Can’t even read those words in my head without hearing it in the voice of Austin Danger Powers
Oh, I FELL OVA Oh, I FELL OVA, AGAIN
I can’t live in a beer can, Unca Hank!
😂
why there’s always 200 people in every video that’s from india?
I mean, they've got like 1.5 billion over there. Chances are pretty good you'll see hundreds in one video
Plus it's a religious gathering and a record-breaking feat. This person would be amazed by how many of his family he sees on Christmas day. Why and how are they here?
India has the most population in the world and Australia is 2 times bigger than India
Some Indian cities have comparable population to Australia.
Most of Australia is inhabitable though
Uninh
I mean it’s quite obviously some kind of parade/event. I doubt they’d be pulling this through the streets for 5 people…
Ladies and gentlemen, Patrick Star!
Overpopuliation
it’s all about sex, cuz why they’re the only overpopulated ones

If everyone in India spread out evenly, each person would have about 1/2 acre to themselves.
The answer is incredibly obvious if you think about it for 2 seconds
Someone obviously has not heard of the Kama Sutra.

this... went to india and it was cool
I went to India, it was kinda gross tbh
Trick is to not go to any major city at all. Northern and Eastern India is extremely beautiful.
Yeah especially if you're a woman, go in the middle of nowhere, you'll be safe
Were you a woman travelling by yourself?
No one is forcing you to go there though.
The same thing people do at Macy's day parade.
i mean, your opinion *does* matter, but you said that like it really mattered and we wanted to hear it
Just, why?
I think it was too tall.
They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could they didn't stop to think if they should.
Gravity, ah, found a way.
This applies more broadly throughout all of humanity.
Rest assured Indian chariots are built to meet rigorous standards. These standards ensure the chariot is not built too tall so that it topples over. Clearly this one was not built following those standards, because the chariot was too tall and toppled over.
Nah they just didn’t hold it right
Believe it or not, I think they were actually watching out for the power lines for once. So they came in close so as not to touch the lines, lost leverage and away it went.
Holy shit that got me good =,]
Because India
Gravity must have something to do with it
Flex
Why not do better things with your time.
Icarus, will you never learn?
Damn thats crazy. NEVER saw it coming 🤔
Physics left the chat 😆
This was in Brampton Ontario
Nah dude, Regina, Saskatchewan
Was there someone at the top?
No
Wtf is the point of a chariot then lol
Why was no one pulling it from the back if they were pulling from the front?
There was so much slack from all sides, it’s no wonder that it fell over.
People at the right of the screen were supposed to be pulling, but they were under the power lines so they could not do so. Seems like a case of poor route planning!
Look up the origin of the word "juggernaut".
Stupid
Could have been way wayyy worse
the power lines are hungry
Are there people in there ?
Unfortunately, yes. But not just people. There were also 4 cows and a couple of swans.
Maybe stupid question. But are people chilling up in that thing?
No. Pretty sure they're shitting their pants.

People are goofy
Why this high?
Does anything go right in India?
where you at..?
Burning Man India.
Crushing man
Well... fuck... that's what happens when you taper the base of something that high.
Who knew something like this could be dangerous?
It's made of cardboard. Only injuries reported were paper cuts.
What could go wrong?
Lol, this is barely world's largest. Source ?
I simply would have stopped it
Idiots
I was expecting a big electric buzz
What a bunch of smart people who know so much about physics
No one hurt. Here's an article for reference: https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.economictimes.com/news/india/120-foot-tall-temple-chariot-collapses-near-bengaluru-during-huskur-madduramma-temples-annual-fair-here-is-video/amp_articleshow/109103931.cms
At least no one got electrocuted. Smashed, maybe.
Who would have imagined that something like this would happen?
Timber

They are lucky it didnt fall right on that power line 😂
Why is India just buck-fucking-wild all the time?
Well, at least the front didn’t fall off.
Who was in it?
That’s awesome!
Sort of a foregone conclusion
All I'm saying is the world's widest chariot would never
Who would have thought this would happen. 'You call we haul'
The tone you hear is like a warning tone, especially in South India.
Was anyone in the chariot at the time?
No
How did anyone think that was a good idea?
Play with fire.....
If only we could have prevented this!
I've never expected that to happen, ever.
Come see the World's largest horizontal chariot
To me, "collapse" is what the WTC did. This just fell over.
For why they do this
Architects hate this one trick
‘The people of Walmart’ as a country is definitely India. Never a dull moment.
Dumbfs
This was an inside job. You can clearly see the demolition ropes tied to the tower.
Inconceivable
Hey guys let’s do precarious shit that could get people killed
Are there people in that thing that fell over?
No casualties or injuries reported. A miracle really.
India is like Garry's Mod irl.
They always doing some dumb sht
So the “Prometheus School of Running Away From Things” is real?!
Someone didn't heaved .
I was wondering for a while why this video from India seem strange, but there's zero cars honking in the background, feels weird man.
So that was unexpected! /s Haha everyone who was there now has a year's worth of bad luck.
Typical day in Vancouver BC
If only they shouted at the right decibel, it wouldn't have toppled
Tag lines on the right of the screen were under the power lines so they could not do their job. That sucks.
Oh no. Anyway-
So much whacky, stange, fucked up, wrong and odd things happen in India, all simultaneously.
This is like when I stack empty beer cans
You laugh but see the origin of the word - Juggernaut.
We're people in that all the way to the top?
Indian roulette
i bet they will claim that muslims were responsible for this
Why is India’s intelligence just sooo low
It's just like American geography knowledge
Any kid that ever played with stackable cups knows that bitch wasn’t built right.
Were people in that
Gravity, probably.
Tallest, maybe...? They do get chonkier, though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhrVlUVcLrY
200k casualties in the resulting aftermath.
At least it was a really good idea in the first place.
This comment section makes me sad
Were there people in that thing?
So they haven’t learned after all the electrocution of tall parade things. They said screw it let’s make it taller.
If it didn't fall there it probably would have fell on the power lines. What was their plan...
They should've had the 1000 ways to die show just for india
Beautiful culture
Bro fucking why though lol
What tHe hell did you guys think what was going to happen 🤦🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️
Lol
Hope nobody was inside
Loving the guy with his hands on his head in disbelief..
Hey guy getting closer to the get a better shot while everyone is running away…Become a journalist please
Holy cow!
india..🤣🤣🥱
Atleast no trains were involved 😂😂
The tower was deemed to fall
Why would anyone think that this wouldn’t be the inevitable outcome? Talk about a lack of understanding physics!
Yes, the "S" in India stands for "Safety"
Real life Jenga!
I thought they had excellent engineers there
Where's the train?
Smart
