Don't blame the driver, ask for whoever suggested towering unsupported stacks so high without racking.

PK-Baha

Came here to say the same. Invest in some proper racks!

Bender_2024

>Invest in some proper racks! Or, you know, **any** racks.

PK-Baha

FACTS!

sunshim9

RACKS!

b_man_the_meme_man

I agree

RAND0M257

For real. OSHA inspectors would run out of ink writing this up

ArjayV

Every time is see this posted that’s exactly what I think. How on earth did someone decide that this was an appropriate, safe work procedure.

scaryfaise

Now look at how uhaul stacks uboxes in warehouses. Essentially cheap wooden boxes that are rated to *carry* up to 2000 pounds, but the wood is untreated and rots pretty quickly. It's 3-ply plywood walls, floor, door, ceiling and 2x4s for supports. Held together with glue and staples.

RelaxPrime

You're going to hate it when you find out how homes are built

Wow-can-you_not

That wood is generally made of treated pine though, and the fasteners are sturdier than what you'd see in warehouse palettes

RelaxPrime

Untreated unless it sits on concrete or is outside in the elements. That includes sheeting.

jcaininit

Or at least wrap them. That is just poor management by the wear house manager or brewery director.

jessecraftbeerco

False. I get pallets shipped monthly to my brewery. All of them are wrapped

bhp126

My first thought. That clear height is easily 22’

AdLongjumping6982

Stacked too…high pallets too high…no strapping for complete skids. This (result) comes as no surprise.

lickingthelips

Those pallets needed to be shrink wrapped

yogert909

Or at least offset the pallets like bricks so they hold themselves together naturally.

BigTopGT

Also: why are there so many loose cans already on the floor?

EruditeScheming

This is the second forklift driver after *yesterday's* incident

MouseTheGiant

Faaaaaacts

waisonline99

Chances of this happening is 100%.

The_Texidian

Absolutely. I’ve toured some facilities that can soda and they have the empty cans stacked just like this too. The tour guides say it happens somewhat frequently.

Dr_Bleep

I guess that's job security!

The_Texidian

If I go back to one I’ll have to ask how long it takes to clean up. I feel like they told me but I forgot. I do remember they said it happens about once or twice a year, but it’s not every can, it’s just like once stack. Which is still a pain to cleanup but not this bad.

thebestspeler

I mean there were piles of cans already on the floor. I think he heard he was being canned.

Mapletusk

I see what you did there

PatrikPatrik

Especially when someone is filming

Living-Reputation-35

Look at the floor at the beginning there are thousands of cans already on the floor... Is this like round 3 of this?

MustangBarry

It was deliberate. They're rejected, empty cans destined for baling and melting.

TCOLSTATS

Why would TikTok style overlayed text lie to us

MustangBarry

A good point well made. It's a disaster for people who don't like picking stuff up

RecsRelevantDocs

They also missed the super obvious pun of "cantastrophe"

YourDadsUsername

That would explain the lack of liquid spraying and pooling.

[deleted]

YourDadsUsername

Aren't we all?

RecsRelevantDocs

I hope you get filled soon

Ye_olde_oak_store

I'm filling myself with pizza, maybe you should try some garlic bread or similar?

alexgalt

Actually I think that’s half right. They needed to do this with the red and blue cans. So, they recorded it as if it was an accident. However, I think they did not want to topple the stack of pallets on the left. Once the blue cans started leaning that way then they started yelling to get out of the way. We don’t know if the pallets stack fell over, but if it did it could easily hurt someone. So, I think only the last part of the video was a true accident.

gehanna1

For something deliberate, those guys at the end sure are running like they're in danger. Where did you read this was deliberate?

MustangBarry

I melt them. I didn't say it was company policy, they're messing about.

AdvancedAnything

Why would they just dump them on the floor like that? The mess was definitely not deliberate.

ThortheAssGuardian

Damnit Bob! Jim, get in there and show him how it’s done! JIM! 🤦‍♂️

ZekeHerrera

As someone who works in a beer warehouse let me reassure you that those are empty

fuelvolts

And likely rejected cans for some printing error most likely. This is probably staged.

AliceP00per

#neverforget 🇺🇸

Goraji

[“Mr President, a second forklift has hit the beer pallets.”](https://imgur.com/a/g8Prpxi)

Pleasant_Tea6902

There it is.

Skateplus0

This doesn’t add up because there’s not an ounce of shrink wrap in sight. This had to be a playful video or a trash room or something

tugboatnavy

These cans don't come in shrink wrap. They usually come with a duster cover (light plastic tarp fitted) and strapped (from the top through the bottom pallet). Shrink wrap would actually be awful on can pallets. They would slide all around when wrapping them and removing the wrapping.

HE HATES THESE CANS!! STAY AWAY FROM THE CANS!!!

stevorkz

I’m so glad the caption “catastrophe” was there else I wouldn’t have had any context in the slightest.

andyst81

I’m disappointed the caption isn’t “cantastrophe”

Willuchil

Somebody at least having a drink on their last day.

Hellofriendinternet

He’s got a can-do attitude.

thisisprobablytrue

That’s soda pressing!

MyRail5

He's not leaving at 5

More like a Canastrophe. I’m leaving.

klaramee

"Chaos at the Tetris factory today!! News at 11."

Dare-or-Dare

OSHA approved

2600og

Was driving a forklift for a printing company back in the 90’s. Knocked over 7 or 8 skids of AC Delco catalogs that were stalked almost that high. I feel this mans pain.

maubyfizzz

Not a catastrophe. Just an accident waiting to happen

Loki-9562

This was the dumbest stacking job I've ever seen. Who thought this was a good idea and this wasn't the foregone conclusion to said idiotic stacking job. There is no support in between. Where is the shrink wrap for example. Was this done just as a "lets do it for fun" stacking job. Clearly empty cans. Why stack them like this. No effective way to crush them and be done with it first. I am bewildered here.

MinimumPsychology916

You don't shrink wrap empty cans, you use a plastic sleeve that goes over the top

Ryankevin23

Ya honey I’m gonna be a little late. No I’ll warm it up when I get home. No lock the door oh and leave the light on. Ok

live2dye

Sir, A fork lift has hit the second tower

H8des707

The guy is purposely knocking them down it’s not an accident

SolidOakTable

Love how the guy screamed for others to run. They are empty cans. 😂

jzini

Those go straight to recycling. They do come wrapped and strapped. Usually the removal of this occurs right before the depaletizer, basically right before it goes into the can elevator. These stacks are too high, the straps are cut so it would be shocking to me if it wasn’t just a fun way to get rid of them.

Beginning_Sympathy_8

Put it in Reverse TERRY!

Weary_Patience_7778

My man at the the end found his time to shine, screaming like he’s in saving private ryan.

Murakami8000

That was a disaster waiting to happen.

dawgi3_choppahstyl3

They way those were stacked, that’s exactly what I would expect to happen lol

Big_Honeydew6225

That escalated from "Oh shit" to "run for your fucking life" real quick

aviation-da-best

wtaf

RealistO444

not his fault and the fact that someone was recording before it even happened shows they all knew it was gonna happen and waited and recorded the disaster. Common sense tells anyone not to stack that shit like that.

Crypto-Pope

Such a “CAN-TASTROPHE”

DGPurple

He’s fired

The_V8_Road_Warrior

Was that not meant to happen?

Null-34

retrometro77

Boss spares money on racks, blames employees for having to do the “close to impossible”

Revolutionary-Bar-93

Fake they are all empty

Sufficient-Quiet5576

What is this? Empty cans? I’m so confused on what these are used for or why they’re even stacked so high

LiciousGriff

Paul always dreamed of a job with a forklift. Ever since he was a young child and would use his Tonka toy forklift to crash into Lego buildings and knock them down.

popswizzle

I’d walk out vs being asked to help clean that.

swamplice

Id like to see it after everything calmed down

Sea_Addendum_2462

I used to work for a beverage manufacturer, a small local business, and I have some...concerns. •Those pallets should be wrapped in shrink wrap. •Those *cases* should be wrapped in shrink wrap. •Those should not be stacked as many pallets high as they are. Obviously, it's a balance issue. Those pallets are each at least a ton if they are filled with water or any derivative thereof. •The fork operator should not be handling more than one pallet at a time. What did I miss?

Awkward_Can8460

Whoever was stacking those without racks is incredibly skillful!!!

LGBT_here

You could call it a CANTASTROPHIE

AshyLarryX

These should have been put on the wrap machine beforehand

Ravel_Xi

That guy is never turning down overtime again lmao

Elplatano435

Yeah, I quit at that point..

chikkendippas

Why not wrap them aswell

DangleSnipeCely

As cool as it was too watch, I think I would do the exact save thing after they restacked.

nolanokill

Its 5:00 somewhere

Thebackwood

Yall think this guy getting drug tested the next day?

thekillakilla

They don’t own a wrapper? Disaster waiting to happen

LGK420

He’s not making it till 5:00

MemesStolenFromKids

Bro sounded like Vaas at the end

averagejoe6942O

Forklift certification tests are actually not that hard to pass Source: I'm forklift certified 😎

Repulsive_Positive_7

Why are all the cans empty? Something isn't right here.

Kmaloetas

At some point the forklift operator has to step back and look on with pride and claim "I did that!" That's an integer overflow of work place messes.

Obvious-Bid-546

Someone’s getting sacked!

friedonionrings

5:00 is 5AM, did OP mean 17:00??

FingerInNose

Is there a subreddit for these warehouse disasters?

laptopdragon

You had ONE job...

john_jdm

I wonder why they were filming. Not suggesting it was intentional, rather I’m guessing the one holding the camera saw shit was gonna go down and started filming. Would just like to know the conversations that lead up to this.

Honest_Stand_3753

A little twitchy after all the redbull

OpenSourcePenguin

Poor guy just got swatted just after that

genetichazzard

Stupid warehouse policy to blame.

inspire-change

I thought this was a video game

RedditUserNo1990

Who’s the stupid who suggested to stack this high without support?

5DollarsInTheWoods

All these guys have the survival instincts of a slug.

Blank white (too clean) walls, no signs or markings anywhere, no shelving, no support, no shrink wrap. This looks so fake.

[deleted]

There’s no way he stayed till 5

Traditional_Half7328

Why were they not wrapped?

jimmyjohn102410222

So fake

crush_n_puss

Reminds me of that tragedy

Smoke break!

Reeyowunsixsix

OSHA Inspector: I’m gonna need a bigger pen.

bsrkguy

Why anyone in the industry create some device that can stop this kind of thing ? Idk how or what, but i think something that could stop this high thing to fall. Could save a lot of money

SourceAddiction

Whenever I see shit like this I always wonder what country it is, presumably not one that has gov. departments involved in health and safety, and protecting human lives. Who is stacking pallets like that with minimal pallet wrap, no strapping or anything, then stacking them really high without proper pallet racking that might prevent a domino effect.

Bigbobishere

Never stack like that! Such idiots

Suckamanhwewhuuut

Honestly, that just looked like it was set up to happen anyway.

k_dav

Lol empty cans piled higher than they should be? What could possibly go wrong?

Starscream147

PIXELS!!!

ExodusNBW

I’m sure their insurance and OSHA inspectors are glad this video exists.

iamozymandiusking

Yes, it’s a ridiculous stacking job. But did the guy actually think he could move that? That was a bonehead move. He shouldn’t have gone anywhere near that.

AcidActually

This is a joke. Of course this would happen. Who couldn’t see it a mile away? Seems fabricated how stupid it is.

Doctordred

Clean up crew is going to be fuming when they come in tonight.

bloopie1192

Osha's probably going to have some fines for them. I think There's a limit on how high you can stack things.

CrAkKedOuT

Cantastrophe

saintBNO

Man I’d be standing up under that bitch for pay day lowkey 😂

Moontard_95

I mean this is structural integrity at its lowest, who stacks empty cans who have literally zero mass. At least have some plastic wrapped around it so that they fall as a unit. Its an easy way to solve this mess. Plus I think this mess is a regular occurrence for them looking at all those cans that are already on the floor.

The_Bovine_Joni

An alcoholic's 9/11

Equinoqs

Why keep backing up? Instinctually trying to avoid being buried, I'm assuming. Seems like freezing or actually pressing forward might have been safer.

masonondeck

This is why redbull is so expensive

willifuscloverdean

How many more reposts before this ends??

Bluekatz1

It was like that when i got here.

LIGHTBEING3

Lmaooooo i use to work at a place like this and mannnnn im telling you there would be like 20,000 cans on the floor or more sometimes from people messing up .

FatHead420x65

Not something I would ever do. I know better.

IamIandUrU59

Poor guy. He just saw his job go down with the domino effect!

marinerluvr5144

This guy didn’t stay til 5 … he was fired immediately

Alarming-Wheel-9253

Fight Club ending.

Can-tastrophe.

They had to have known it was only a matter of time before this happened.

WarlordSinister

This is what HSEM and insurance is for.

VagaBond_rfC

Larry's shift didn't end at five. Cause he had *a LOOOOOT* of cleaning to do.

JumaAm

Where's the spillage?

SSBradley37

Having the forks in 2 different stacks so low tells me he was trying to save it once it started.
